I just got an idea for an animatic:

not only did she butcher the lyrics in a couple spots...... no successful gender flip of the song....... which makes no sense being it's supposed to be the girl version of a song between a man and a woman dancing together.... not a bad vocalist though

I wouldn't call it "butchering the lyrics". She purposely changed them. It's not like she accidentally sang the wrong lyrics in the middle of recording. Also you have to be the first person to have complained that the lyrics were _not_ gender flipped. Usually people hate it.
she didn't change them.... that is the issue I raised. and as far as her "Butchering" the lyrics in the spots.... listen again.... adlibbed lyrics where there didn't need to be any. now not everyone will sing a given song 100% and I understand this.... but to use words that make no sense in the lyrics in place of the words that do.... that is butchery, low end butchery.... but still the same.... but all in all, my main gripe is no successful flipping of the lyrics to suit the woman, I brought it up simply because the original version of the song was having a man say to the woman "don't you dare look back, just keep your eyes on me, you're holding back" and the girl says to him "shut up and dance with me" now being she is a girl. lesbian pride or not. it's a song telling the story of a man dancing with a woman.... so in the gender flip. she should be singing the woman's prospective...... hell the point i'm making here is a kin to bonjovi singing "I kissed a girl and I liked it" he wouldn't sing it from his prospective. but from the prospective of say his daughter. or his wife..... it makes no sense otherwise. sorry to be rambly, but I feel if I don't convey my thoughts clearly with examples. people don't get the point, and they jump to conclusions not even made
