Bob...I feel your pain. My bedroom/practise space looks like a war zone with leadsheets and books everywhere. The only clean area is where the music stand & sax are at the moment! "Bob's Book Club" or "Book of the week" with Bob Reynolds seems like the next logical step haha! Thanks for over a year of vlogs. Long may they continue.
Organizing toys! HAAAAA!!!!! That sounds like a virgo to me :) your kiddos are Adorable! wanted to hear some jazz, and found myself enjoying this vlog, thanks! I agree with you that music heals. thanks!
C-
I loved how you included the clip from outlier where your headphones fall off! I think of that clip every time I listen to that chart lol
You rocked so hard! Headphones couldn't handle! Thanks for sharing!
Every aspiring musician should watch this channel
That "Wave" quote at 8:57gave me an instant flashback ;)
love the VLOGs Bob thanks
Hey I love this! You explained how recording in a studio really is! Not only from just recording music, but being in depth with styles of playing. Man I had no idea of this! This is some great stuff!! Thank you!
Bob, bookstores like Borders may be long gone, but some, like Barnes & Noble, are holding on for as long as they can...hopefully for a very long time still
GREEAAAT VLOG BOB. That ending was sick !!
"Headphones, I recommend them- Cut to the Outlier solo"
Lmao
I love how as soon as you mentioned wearing headphones I instantly thought of them falling off during Outlier, but lo and behold you read my mind mid-vlog :P
LOL, I was just watching that outlier clip the other day and noticed the headphone thing. Such a great performance!
I was the first tweet featured when you talked about sending out cd's! Thanks Bob!
Thanks for the shout out!
Was just listening to Outlier haha 😂
That one clip from Outlier was funny, I forgot about that.
Oh my God...Welcome to Brasil
Another awesome VLOG Bob. Loving the Guitar Band CD. Also very cool that you're doing yoga again. My wife owns a studio in MD and I teach as well. Very beneficial to musicians physically and mentally (ask Sonny Rollins). Question - where do you find the time to read so much? I have three kids (ages 15, 5 and 4 months) and finding the QUIET time is damn near impossible. I miss it.
Great idea you've got! Bookstore surfing ang getting the same book!
another great vlog Bob! That moment with the headphones in Outlier is hilarious haha, is there a follow-up story to this incident, like is it a running joke or smthing hmh? :)
My girlfriend got me those socks this Christmas xD it felt like a saxophonist thing
Portland Oregon!
Hello bob I'd love to hear you playing Wave by Tom Jobim.
Hi Bob, I am a beginner saxophonist but have a background in music for many years. Just coming to jazz now. Would you recommend "The Living Jazz Tradition" by Steve Treseler? I believe it is used at Berklee. Or would you recommend another text.
Thanks.
+Graeme Gerrard I would recommend listening to and copying lots of great saxophonists. Start with Sonny Stitt, Sonny Rollins, Dexter Gordon, Stan Getz, and Bird with Strings.
where can I find that Woodshed article? is it online?

Hey, Bob! What's the name of the song at 8.26?
You should REALLY scan all your paper mess. Like get a ScanSnap scanner, and then just scan stuff. It's so much better than keeping paper around.
What about libraries!??
What's the music at 8:26?
I was about to ask the same thing haha.
