Once the phone is lost, the thief can easily switch it off and we can't track it. Why don't mobile companies allow us to set passwords to switch off mobile phones.ln this way as no one can open our phone without passwords, no one will be able to switch the phone off without password either.

@Aastha Singh first file police complaint for lost of mobile then take duplicate Sim card of that no whish you were using in your phone and then on ceir site block your imei if you know your imei number of your lost mobile...
@Aastha Singh welcome see feel free just file complaint and then block imei number know the ceir site so no one can use your phone it will become plain mobile to him who got your mobile..it has no use after blocking imei number... feel relax...

I lost my phone and block through CEIR website but After contact to CEIR website Delhi they only tell we have only authority to block phone .we do not help to found lost mobile and local police also take casually

I knew from the comments, that FIR is compulsory. If we put complain (FIR) to police that work process shall be done by police. But by this website we do track our lost or stolen mobile by our self, then what is the necessary for complaining (FIR) to police?

This facility not available in Uttar Pradesh....
Whereas the state of Uttar Pradesh is the largest state in the country.
We have to give the same mobile no which is lost. First we have to take new sim card with same no and wait till it's SMS activation then we have to give that no for OTP.
