Thanks for the video. I have two covers that I would like to renovate & was wondering which of the many products to use, so this really helped out. Take no notice of the trolls, they have no home to go to. :D
After a clean with one of these, I have seen plastic made for promotional stands being run over with a flame to make them cyrstal clear. Is this plastic an acrylic? They call it flame polishing acrylic.
Hi Andy great job. I’ve just bought a gold ring lenco deck and areas of the cover have a milky appearance not sure if it’s poss to polish these out any hints much appreciated.
I think the milky colour is caused by UV light, something car headlights also suffer from. From what I've seen, you should also be able to polish that out. Let me know how you get on!!
I watched the video and there was no winner. Just a blurry video of the lid, no macro shots, and a recommendation to 'use what you've got'. You did all the hard work but didn't finish the job!
@@CornishMotorcycleDiaries Just a shame you tell people to watch the whole video for something that it doesn't even contain. Why you bothered to make this I have no idea.
@@cpmaverick I can recommend some good Mindfulness meditations to help you chill from Mr Angry. Or if you DO want to spend some cash, I can offer you some sessions with a CBT therapist (me) at £60/hour which will help you deal with your tendency towards immoderate outbursts.
Thanks for the tip. I’ve used T-Cut to polish out some scratches on my old ALBA record player.

I have used T-Cut and a buffer attached to my drill works fine.
Hi, yes it probably will. Practically any buffing compound, so long as it doesn't contain any corrosive elements will work well
There is a product called Polywatch used to restore acrylic watches, would work great for dust covers.
Speed 1.5 for impatient Americans like me ;)
Eric Blair Quite right, its all in the editing. Working on that and my somewhat lacklustre presentation skills!
What happened to the macro lens closeup promise? Lol
I've used toothpaste it didn't do a bad job
Bob Fleming...lol
Umm for those who want to know which one won, just watch the video!

@@cpmaverick Sorry you were disappointed, you can have your money back... Oh no you didn't pay me anything, so that's all right then. Jog on.

@@CornishMotorcycleDiaries I see you agree that time is money! 🙂 I am not angry, just trying to save others from the time I've wasted.
Forget all them.
Use Chemical Guy's Scratch n Swirl remover.
Your welcome
Thank me later!!
Cheers!
