Hey Steve, I just listened to this whole album again. The King of the World outro solo has an awesome Jazz vibe to it. My favorite solos on the album are definitely the two "My Old School" solos so I'm definitely going to cover those next week.
I commented on a previous video, why is it that the way you write tab, for a sustained note, you write the fret numbers twice - doesn't this imply that you hit the note twice? Is this just a stylistic thing? Besides, great video again.
Hey robowizard, it's a great question When you hold a note for multiple beats and it crosses the bar line, or beat 3 (classical rule) I usually write the same note with a slur line. In regular music notation it's called a tie. Tie just means you are joining two notes together. If that slur line (tie line) isn't there then you would pluck the note again.
Great debut album.
great job
Great job!!🤘🏻
More Steely Dan solos pleaseee
Any specific Steely Dan Solo request?
@@jimiwolfsolos3119 The “King Of The World” solo it’s right at the end/fade out, seems like a weird but interesting solo to learn

@@jimiwolfsolos3119 that album has a lot of great solos: Boston Rag, My Old School, Your Gold Teeth, the slide on Pearl Of The Quarter, etc.
Different.
Is there anything you can't play?
