Thanks for continuing on to convert to inheritance. That was helpful to understand difference and it helped me understand why I did not get external merge relationship when I first tried your steps. On my system "Add bodies" was selected by default, not "add material" as I see in your video. Once I selected "add material" button, I get the External Merge relation.
Once again your video helped me. But these functions (copy geometry & merge inheritance) is available only in advanced Creo licese. Is there any other options available for Creo basic license version? Thanks for your contribution always.
@@4kside general practice for basic license : casting will be done in part model, machining 3d will be done is assembly (we can only remove Material in assembly mode). I would like to know if there is any other option for doing the same. To be frank, above method is bit weird and lot of the times reference failed after a change in part model. 🙂.
