Which fruit is used in cranberry sauce? Really? Who composed Beethoven's 5th?
The Olympics are held every two years: Summer and Winter Olympics, starting 1994
I had no idea that John Major was an ancient civilisation! 😮😂
LOL!!! That combination of question and answers certainly confused me!
Yes, that was #86 and it was Mesoamericna...duh
OMG YOU DONT MEAN HE'S NOT ,DO YOU ....?
Indeed!
Scored 85. Some very silly questions
84%. I didn't know John Major was responsible for the building of the Pyramid of the Sun.
No Tony Blair did. lol
Nobody else did either. In fact he didn't even know. I suspected it was the same people as the first time it was asked.
Yeah! and I was shocked that the painting "the two Fridas" was painted by Frida Khalo.
I didn’t realise John Major was the name of an ancient civilization. I am grateful for being enlightened. Whereabouts in the world was it situated?
Yep that question was ask twice and there was no right answer on the second time.
What a surprise that cranberries are the main fruit in cranberry sauce!
Or that the other half of Laurel and Hardy was Stan Laurel. 52
It reminded me of It Pays To Be Ignorant radio quiz program. What is the price of a penny postcard?
That killed me.
@@howell7136 1cent maybe ?? Come on
@@TheFatwelder could it be Laurel ??
87%. When I climbed the Temple of the Sun on 26 December 1980, at the tender age of 33, I had no idea that it was John Major's creation! You learn something every day...
I climbed it in 2014 - at the tender age of 61.

Good on you!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂?
Intrigued as to what goes first, the memory or the pronunciation!
Ensemblay for ensemble did it for me, after which I couldn't take it seriously.
Got to you too eh ? 😂
Question 40: freestyle is not a stroke! It’s an event.
Front Crawl is the stroke usually swam in a ‘freestyle’ event; however, a swimmer may perform any stroke he/she hasn’t swam in another event. I’m a retired USSA coach and Water Safety Instructor Trainer. It is extremely irritating to hear people refer to front crawl as freestyle! I’m also a distance swimmer and I swim breaststroke in the 500 freestyle event. Please correct the terminology in this question. 😊
I always knew it as the Australian Crawl.
@@j.sumner6999 You are correct! It was originally called the Australian crawl as the stroke originated in Australia and was used by the beach location lifeguards. The US changed it to front crawl sometime in the 70’s.
Darn. Missed 12. On one, the answers did not match the question. The question about the Pyramid of the Sun was asked twice, and the answer given for the second time was not related to the question at all.
I got them all right. We'll, maybe not all of them, but I did get a couple of them right.
So far I’ve answered all but 2 of the questions correctly…. 45 of them. I do have to say that this seems to have little to do with whether or not your mind is fit but whether or not you know golfing, lawn bowling, etc. depending on where a person lives, education level, interests, movies seen, history.
Lots of varied and interesting questions. But where was the proofreader for these questions? There were a few misspellings and a few questions made no sense whatsoever! But thanks for stretching my brain!
Most of these questions has nothing to do with intelligence.
Memory not intelligence
Moat of these questions have nothing to do with intelligence.
73: it's Mason, not Manson. 86 has got garbled. In the UK bowling on a shaped grassy field is called crown green bowling. Most of the ones I couldn't answer I have never known, not forgotten, as they are fundamentally American.
She's following the great Quiz Time tradition of not reading the questions through before recording.
Agreed. How is anyone supposed to know that mason was given an n before the s? Wasting time trying to figure out what a Manson it is enough to confuse even YOUNG people.
@@bobdear5160 They are both called "lawn bowling" in Canada.
thanks Y Brynecho, interesting….how do you know how flat (or domed) to expect your lawn? Anything else on grass I would class as bumpy!
@@bobdear5160 Good grief, I don't play it; it's just what people call it. We also have carpet bowling in the winter.
In the question of the first president of France, the 3rd choice was Louis XIV. You should have pronounced that as Louis the fourteenth, not as just Louis. There were many kings of France called Louis.
didn't Napoleon proclaim himself Emperor? much higher than president or maybe he was both?
78/100. There is a problem with question nr. 86.
Good job 👏🏻
Same here.
92 not counting the Brit who built a pyramid
i do not know why you think for the life of me how anybody at any age knows or have even forgotten the questions you have set. personally i am on 85 percent, but find this quiz very smug, and condesending
I enjoyed the quiz, it was great , out of the 100 I only got 12 incorrect, am 83 yeas old, maybe Brit’s have a more world wide education than Americans, certainly geography & World history are not focused on in USA .
@@margaretlowe763 Margaret i am 62 and everything you said is pertinant, keep going at 83 be proud and Never be put down, personally i admire people who talk with a slight bit of knowledge and little attitude, My Mother is 93 soon and could tell me things that i have never known and i am so proud of my irish Mother, We do not know everything but we have open minds, god bless Margaret
Oh dear! The fact that I take no interest in the movies or pop music means that my mind is not fit. Its not a question of memory as I never knew this stuff in the first place.
Some of the questions were ridiculous and should not be in “General knowledge” quizzes.
I surprised myself 78 /100.
As someone who overthinks the easier questions I couldn’t agree with you more. I got fed up with this quiz tbh.
92
100%
85/100
It is intelligent and wise to ask a wide variety of questions anf for that well done, it was a good quiz -- keep the quizzes coming, I rather enjoy them
I got all that I ever knew, and some that I didn't. But number 86 is impossible. Fun exercise. Thanks!
Sir John Major would be hurt to be called "ancient" 😄
I misread the painting "Two Fridas" as "Two Fritos" and was completely perplexed. I'm ok now. Great vid.
I only got 70%. Some I've known in the past but wouldn't come to me. Some of the questions were about UK and I'm in the US.
83. Not bad for a 7` year old being interrupted by her 5 & 3 yr old grandchildren the whole time. 100 questions are too long for me with them around every day!!! hahaha
i dont believe you
I am 79 and got 80 right but thought these questions really don’t measure memory.
I think they measure memory (assuming you ever knew some of them) but certainly not mental acuity.
Such easy questions but no geography.
I got # 86 correct but missed all the rest
1 out of 100
Not good!!!
But you tried!
Lol
85/100 - A few of the questions needed proofreading , or were they a test within a test. ? - Guessed No. 86 and got it right ;0)
I wonder what possessed you to test the "elderly"? This is simply knowledge accrued probably before you were born. Much is American based of which my knowledge is scant as I'm British.
I'm not sure what you want to achieve with this.
I suspect my accumulation of knowledge and application of experience far outweighs yours. Memory is one thing but mental acuity and spacial awareness is something very different that you've not considered.
Evidently, my mind is very fit but your test is far too simplistic. You cannot base a judgement.
Got 90 out of 100,I think my mind is still okey at the age of 73 going to 74 next month. Thanks Quiz Time for making my mind fit..!!!!
Very good!! :D
This is just a trivia quiz for the most. Not really a general knowledge quiz. It's for pple who can keep trivia in their minds. Nothing to do with iq or a fit mind.
Major Inca....!!!!
I probably got only 75 right and I'm 75. But I know my mind is still fit. I just don't pay any attention to pop culture or esoteric cooking terms. This test is idiotic.
I just darn well lost count !!!!!!
I had the most problems with music questions. There was a nice balance between Brit and N America ... I am Canadian. Some things I don't care to know but overall it was fun I am 82
Me too. I was never a fan of most rock.
I don't know what my score is and when you have a no multiple answer question there is no selection to choose from. These quizes are put together very poorly.
The quizzes are not interactive. You have to keep your score yourself
Olympic is preformed every two years, but 4 years between each summer games and 4 years between each winter games.
Yes, I counted my response of 2 years as correct - because it is correct.
@@maggielarocque4369It is 4 years - 4 for winter and 4 for summer. They are both Olympics, but not the same set of sports. Thus, 4 is correct.
Don’t be silly; the question just says ‘olympics’( no reference to different sports…
CLEARLY don't actually pay attention to either questions nor answers there folks...
87. But John Major was not responsible for building the Pyramid of the Sun.
I was able to get 84 out of 99 questions correct; # 86 had the wrong answers for the question, or the wrong question for the choice of answers! Other than that, an enjoyable quiz! I am relieved that I could score so well.
88. Olympics are now held every 2 years, alternating between winter and summer Olympics.
Interesting selection of questions. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL🎉
87 right (and no passes😅) and the last time I do this quiz!
#86 -- Your answer makes no sense whatsoever. My final score: 93/100. Thanks for the quiz!
Hah! The joke's on me! I thought that there were 50 questions so I stopped the progression of the video to answer how many I got right. Then I scrolled up and saw that I was only half done. I ended up with 86 correct answers. Good to see you again Jess!
Haha great job Sue :D
John Major was a British PM, most emphatically NOT a builder of any pyramid . There were a couple of other off the wall answers. These quizzes ought to be proof-viewed!
Wizard is a male witch, TV show Bewitch confused people about that using Warlock.
Where is the city of Oslor?
These questions are so easy - I got all but one - never heard of Judith Viorst! BTW - I'm almost 88, so still in pretty good shape!!
i dont believe you
You got the cranberry sauce one right? You sure are smarter than me!!
Find the mindless repetitive background music is so annoying and distracting . Silence would be preferable.
Oh I so agree!
92 out of 100 - does that mean i'm fully compos mentis still lol ?
88, I didnt know some American questions...have never known them
Bogart never said it
Oslor is wrong, the name is Oslo
76 - but I lost interest after the glaring mistake with question 86. Nothing to do with British PM in the answers 😞
Enjoyable - 86 was definitely a mistake in editing. 84 years old.
I am 76 and got 81
I’m 75 and also got 81
I would say 95% of seniors or more would get them right!
Exactly. We came from the era before Google was invented. We acquired proper general knowledge. I wouldn’t be surprised if more than 95% of millenials failed without having Google at hand. I have actually heard one claim “general knowledge is redundant, now you just Google it”.
I think it's more of what you were interested in throughout life. With my "demented" mind, I think I did pretty good. but missed most because of it....but I knew what they were talking about. So... I'm not telling what my score was, but it was nice to know I did better than I expected to. (I'm 87)
How many questions were there?
Question no 10 answer cranberries
Au gratin means with cheese.
Am 73 yo and scored 79 of 100. I fair about that much on all the quizzes I do. So, Average? Most I missed were books I've never read , people I've never heard of.
Um... elderly but even I know John Major had NOTHING to do with any pyramid
100 is too many
Question no 21 answer water aerobics
Question 86
What ancient civilisation built the pyramids of the sun
Options John major, Tony Blair, Margaret thatcher….. WHAT!!! I’m sure it was the Teotihuacan
84% although John Major being responsible for the Pyramid of the Sun was a surprise. As well, the final question about the Olympics could logically have 2 answers.
92/100. 82yo, and the biggest challenge was staying awake thru the whole quiz! btw: What happened with #86? Does Machu Picchu ring a bell?
I've passed on participating in this 100 guestions because apparently, and according to the description, I'm statistically doomed to fail. So why bother playing your silly game.
Please explain how knowing that the carving of pumpkin Jack O'Lanterns started earlier with the carving of turnips has anything to do with mental acuity? How is anybody supposed to know that? I never heard of that before and I'm 75. I'll give you an easier question. What is Babe Ruth's given name? Did you get that? You should know that, should be easy for somebody that knows the "history" about pumpkins and turnips! I left after the 2nd question, which was reasonable and an easy answer for me. I have no time for this silly "test"!
I'm 65 and I got eight wrong
Sign of current Chinese zodiac is misleading as it will change each year the quiz is still up. Thanks for the mental exercise.. Had to play at 2X speed to make it interesting. Amazing the useless information one acquires from living 80 years.
These are not, "is your mind still fit" questions. These are, "what information do you know".
Not knowing who an author is has nothing to do with how well your mind works...
See, my mind is able to discern the difference between a "cognitive test" and an "information test", my mind works just fine.
#86 I had never realized that either Major, Blair, or Thatcher had started their own "ancient civilization". And you read that out without even a snicker or a gasp!.
Squirrellmaster based on my research you are correct, there was a time when the minimum steps were 10k nows its a minimum of 5 k actually.
Right, because very few people have the time to walk 5 miles a day.
70 i am 89 years young
question 86 is in error.. the answers do not match the question. Nevertheless I got 82/99. thanks for the age appropriate quiz
Music distracts from hearing you read the question posted. Can't it be softer music or none at all especially when there's 100 of them in 30 mins! Thx
my god. so many mistakes. you need to step down and find another job. plus, you need to remove your face while the quiz is one. its distracting.
not all questions would be known internationally...like Brit TV or Brit/US holidays.
I got 88%. Got some of the easy ones wrong. I am 79
Olympics are held every TWO YEARS,!👎🏼
Q1 is BS. Jacko lanterns are Pumpkins. Did not bother to go any further.
68/100. Not bad at all, and I'm only 53 years old.
Elderly? This is more for the well educated, which most elderly are not. As matter of fact, I would say any age group.
89
I would stack my knowledge up against whoever made up these questions.
I'm 73. I got 72. I am French and a few times I didn't have enough time to understand the questions.
Anyone else get to 5 or so and realize ya got a few more years left before taking such tests? :P
Question 1 you got wrong. We used to carve Swedes, turnips are much smaller. Many people get them mixed up
And that was just the start of error after error!
@@Ann-ch8txgoogle says it was turnips, but the one it shows is much bigger,I have never seen one that size.
She reads the questions too slowly … I don’t have that much life left to get to 100. Speed things up.
#42 Your age is showing!!! It is now 2024 and it's the Year of the Dragon.
Too many entertainment questions almost like they were important, They are entertainment. They aren't.
Wonder how many Trump could answer correctly??….hmmm
Question 100 every 4 years summer annd winter are different sports
Au gratin means…with cheese. Incorrect answer !!
😂I got 63
