I’ve been really curious about this subject recently. Watching so many videos on annotations. I am moving away from writing on the book because it can get overwhelming to have all that writing all over the text. Sometimes I have so many thoughts. 😅 and I do like the book looking a little more organized and clean when I want to flip through it again. Oh and also I tried tabbing and ran out too quickly, I can’t see myself continuing to buy them for all my reads.
One thing I use are Rocketbook cloud cards. They are reusable index cards that you can scan and send it to your destination of choice. I send mine to One Note, where I can additionally add more notes or links to info related to my notes etc, pics, audio notes. And just digitally organize it the way I want. I get the experience of writing on something physically which I love, I write on them vertically on the dot grid side. And then I scan after each reading session. That way I can easily access my notes on my phone along with my book. The only drawback might be the pen (Frixion gel pen) can run out of ink depending how much you use it, for now I’m okay with that. I’ve been able to buy refills.
I also use Frixion Fineliners to underline. They are erasable markers and I like knowing that I can potentially remove the marks by blowing some heat on the writing. But still get to experience seeing underlined things in my book which I love.
But yea I also use post its. Because I still like the experience of seeing some thoughts in the book. I try to put it on in a way that doesn’t cover the text, that bothers me 😅
I’m still playing around with different ideas, thank you for sharing these ideas.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such an insightful comment! I would love to hear your reasons for why you annotate if you wouldn’t mind sharing them with me ☺️
I have never heard of Rocketbook cloud cards before and I have to admit that is so cool! How can such a thing exist. I’m genuinely shook. I apologize if this is a stupid question but does it convert your writing into typed out notes?
The frixion fineliners usage is also a very good idea!
Thank you for watching my video and taking the time to leave a comment, I really appreciate it 💕I hope you have a wonderful day

@@hibzandthemundanitiesofeve5248 I like to annotate because it helps me process the information. And I find the process of reading and writing fun/relaxing 😌 it also helps me understand where my mind is on things I read.
Yea I know, I’m so happy this product exists. I’ve been using a few of their other products for about three years now. They do have an option for OCR 😄, I hope I’m answering your question. (maybe you can check out Jake Reeves channel, he has some good videos explaining the Rocketbook products; the cloud cards and also explaining how the OCR works)
Np ☺️ thank you for allowing me to share. Enjoy your readings and annotating

I literally started to annotate with sticky notes yesterday because of your video. Thank you so much♥️✨️
(By the way, I've bought 'a Little Life' after people recommended it to me, and I'm honeslty a classic literature reader, I don't know if you've read it but if you do please tell me it won't be that vulgar throughout the whole book)

That makes me so happy hear! I hope they enhance your overall reading experience!
I have not read A little life but I’ve heard a lot about it. I’m tempted to pick it up because books that create extremely polarizing opinions tend to interest me. Have you started reading it?
I hope you’re having a lovely day so far 💕

@@hibzandthemundanitiesofeve5248 of course they do, and more than I thought it could.
I did too, that's why I've bought it, I started reading it, (I am at page 140) that's a good book atm, however as a Muslim I find that homosexuality is mentionned more than often, it disturbs me a little bit, but it's going well, the story started to go downhill (I apologize in advance for my bad english, I am french), and it's getting really sad as I've come to a part where the antagonist's traumatizing past is introduced to us, and everytime I think it can't get worse...it gets worse.
However I didn't cry yet, people say that it becomes very hard to bear near the 300/400 pages
