    Yes!! Not every habit to get back in track “needs to backed up by research”. Find what works for YOU! Only you know what’s effective for you.

      Agreed, that first part made me like the video. Sometimes what I am looking for is a new framework that I can test out myself in my own life to see if it yields any benefits. A lot of the stuff "backed by research" in terms of adopting new habits hasn't really helped that much, if at all, and I have gotten more favorable results from traditional teachings from different yoga and meditation lineages.

      Interesting. The first time I heard about Gretchen Ruben was from Amy Landing and I went to buy the book from Amazon but upon looking at the reviews a lot of people were complaining that there wasn't any psychological insight just speculation. It was off putting so much so that I ended up not getting it. I now regret it.

      @@ImJustShayeB Reviews can be tricky. At the end of the day everyone will have a different perception of things. If you’re regretting not getting it, perhaps you should go for it.

    Whenever I watch your videos, it pushes me to actually do things. Like I literally feel embarrassed for slacking off on my habits again and again. So I guess I should get up now and tidy my room and sit down with myself just to reorganise my goals.

    I love love love Gretchen Rubin’s four tendencies framework! As a rebel I find appealing to my identity super useful. I totally recommend her podcast ‘Happier with Gretchen Rubin’

    Since I hurt my back and had to have back surgery, it's been hard to go back to my early morning routine of meditation, kundalini and journaling. I'm embracing the moment and not being hard to myself but at the same time, I'm pushing myself to go back to it. Meditating it's really miraculous and the more of us that do it, the more we will be able to raise the frequency of the whole world. I always love you videos, you inspire me to keep on producing content that is meaningful to others as well as a reminder to myself to keep on keeping on. Sending you all much love, and don't remember to always be gentle with yourselves. XOX

    I'm an obliger. I meet other expectations but not my inner expectations for myself. I wish I wasn't. 😔
    Noticed a few rebel tendencies though. Like doing things my own way and need uniqueness.

    I am definitely the rebel type, and the idea of encompassing the traits that you want to exemplify is so spot on. I frequently struggle with following through with set small steps to achieving my goals because in the moment I feel like I’m reading spontaneity/freedom for rigid discipline. But to paraphrase a quote I really like - order is freedom. I definitely find mental relief and freedom when I dedicate time to follow through on my responsibilities and keeping my surrounding clean!

    20 min focus sessions are my go to. I can get laundry done but folding/ironing not so much 🤦🏽‍♀️ I sat a timer and tell myself that I get to stop once timer goes off. Works like a charm 😅

    I tried to do a mid-year reset a month ago, and it clearly did not work 😅so this video is more than welcome! I have read Gretchen Rubins, and James Clear's books but it is always good to be reminded of that, and I will try to focus on how to change my environment first.     Yes I'm discovering lately that theories of things which are not necessarily backed up by science are everywhere. My filters for theories are A. Are the components of the theory, (not necessarily the whole thing) somewhat science backed, AND B, most importantly, is it helping me conceptualize things in a way that helps. You don't have to stick to the same conceptual framework forever but sometimes, SOMETHING is better than nothing. My background is in vocational education and your mileage may vary though.
