I´ve been a loyal and dedicated Rammstein-fan for 20 years now and I really like, how you are both enjoying the band´s legendary live performances. 👍
An important background information about Rammstein is, that all of the band´s members were born and raised inside the former DDR (Eastern Germany), where censorship and dictatorship were the backbone of the entire society structure. You will therefore see and hear, how Rammstein constantly reacts, focuses on and provokes with complex taboo topics in our society with basically all of their provoking lyrics and brilliant music videos, that contains multiple interpretation levels. 🤓
Rammstein is the very definition of, why freedom of speech should know absolutely no boundries, because once you start to censor and ban words, thoughts or ideas, you´re instantly living in a dictatorship again. 💯
P.S. I know, that you probably have a very long reaction list to go through, but if you want, I would love to create a Rammstein-musicvideo list for both of you with English subtitle references. There is so much insight, provocation and important topics burried in the Rammstein-lyrics and music video imagery, that you are missing. 😇👍
it's too my understanding the guitarist with the dark hair was smuggled across the berlin wall as a child in a secret compartment in a car and after the fall of the wall he went back and meet his other bandmates...on a personal note i had an uncle stationed in germany when the wall fell, and he sent pieces of the smashed wall to family members. sometimes it' cool to be old. haha

They're missing so much...and not just the translation lyrics. There's so much missing if you don't understand the words in German AND miss the double and hidden meanings in the original lyrics. And don't get me started with their artistic license and imagery.

Great reactions guys. Engel is German for angel. Narrator is basically singing how they don't want to become an Angel. That they live a lonely and invisible existence, far from humans. Still touring. My nephew saw them in Gillette stadium in Boston last fall. His videos were stunning and the pyro was even more over the top. Looking for recent YT videos from fans to get a feel for the stage and stadium set up. One fan who saw them in Cardiff said their was so much smoke from the pyro that people in the village near the stadium though it was on fire and called the fire department! Their latest album is fantastic. Zeit and Adieu are my favorites and the music videos are like mini-movies. There have been some fans who have gone through and translated the lyrics and added them as CC but they do tend to get taken down for copyright issues. Zeit th-cam.com/video/VFSEi_oLlsg/w-d-xo.html. 1. Rammstein is a good reason to learn German.
2. Educated Marine and Bückstabu both have good English subtitles. You want to understand it, for the lyrics are deep and with many interpretations.
The great thing about music is, you don't have to understand the actual words to get the feeling intended.

I love the ending of it. After all that chaos and destruction just disappearing in the dust in silence like nothing ever happened.
I don't know how to put it better; but in both of you I see people who have understood what beauty basically means.
They are so different they had to create a new metal genre for their music Neue Deutsche Härte. They started in 1994 with the same 6 guys that are still in the band playing today.

The singer, Till Lindemann is a qualified pyrotechnician. I'm not really sure if they build those contraption by themselver but I would guess that they do.
2 great songs, "Falling In Reverse - "The Drug In Me Is Reimagined", and "Falling In Reverse - "I'm Not A Vampire (Revamped)", are super great. These are the reason I listen to this group. The songs are re-makes from the originals they released. Notice how one is Reimagined " original is "The drug in me is you" and the other revamped "original is I'm not a vampire". Big Diff from their originals and by far the best. I think you would like them as reaction songs done in the order above.

You mention that this number is a bit unique and theatrical. Rammstein is always unique and theatrical with, among other things, fire.
For over 20 years, Rammstein has been the most theatrical rock/metal band where fire has been a large part of their concerts.
The lead singer has for many years controlled the fire shove because he is the pyrotechnician. Rammstein is the band that can be compared to Pink Floyd's quality live concerts.
Everything is perfectly timed.
Total professionalism.
And yeas they're still touring. Currently they are in Europe.

If you want to expand your horizons a bit I suggest that you listen to some Mongolian metal a band called the HU and they song called wolf totem it's absolutely awesome and the instruments are such that we don't have anything here they're truly resembles them
You’ll notice that throughout the whole thing Till is alone. When he comes out he backs in. When he sings he only looks sideways once and the guys are kneeling. Then before he leaves they all are off the stage before him.

Where exactly do you see a female performer? There aren't any in Rammstein.
The voice of the angel (the chorus) was originally done by German singer Bobo. They did a live video with her on stage in a Bird cage. You can find that version by searching Rammstein Bobo. Flake’s wife also provided some vocals and whistling in Roter Sand as well.
