    These little Massey's really are impressive. I recently bought a 1760M Deluxe with hydro trans and mid-mount mower. No loader, just another finish mower off the back with a stripping kit. I've owned a Deere 3046R Cab with a mid-mount mower for several years and always thought the cab was a little small but learned to live with it. If you look at the tractors side by side, the Massey cab isn't any larger yet I have more leg room. The cab also sits higher so there's more headroom. I'm not sure how Massey accomplished this. I also think the Massey runs smoother and shifts nicer. The Massey has 5 more hp but oddly I can't see where that is an advantage, they both cut about the same and have the same amount of torque. I only use mine to mow along my farm roads where I want a low nicely finished cut. I have a couple batwings that could make the job faster but I'm left with a lot more residue then I prefer. These little tractors just get the job done and allow you to sit in a AC cab listening to the radio. You can't beat that for such a mundane chore.

      Thanks for the comment. Interesting comments and something we have seen & heard several times. Customers just love the size and configuration of the Massey Ferguson Cab. Them Engineers do wonders and spend lots of efforts on ergonomics for ease of use. I tell people before you buy you need to at least sit on the tractor to make sure it fits and better yet take it for a drive. If it doesn't fit you need to find one that does.

    • @zfilmmaker
      @zfilmmaker 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree, it’s also important salesman take time to give a customer a quick run through of cab features and options. Don’t bog them down with too long or too detailed into. Then let them drive one around the yard to get a feel for how it operates. Not many dealers do this or do it well. You have a bit of an uphill battle against Deere cause of their name and Kubota because everyone thinks they’re cheaper and more affordable. People probably appreciate your honesty. I’ve been to many dealers that trash talk the competition. For most people, especially new buyers, that’s code for leave and don’t come back.

    • @VahrenbergImplement
      @VahrenbergImplement  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually Massey Ferguson is the worlds leading brand. Deere is popular here in the state. Reliability of Massey Ferguson is helping us grow as is those that look at features for the dollars they get. You got to look past the logos and color paint to get the best value for you . More and more are choosing Massey Ferguson every day. This year we are up 40% and been a challenge but Massey Ferguson is rapidly growing.

    • @zfilmmaker
      @zfilmmaker 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@VahrenbergImplement Massey does seem to be growing rapidly. So is Fendt. For years all I bought was Deere, then I ran a Fendt and was fully assimilated as if they were the Borg (Star Trek reference). I now run several Fendt’s, and have just a few Deere’s left over that I may keep or sell I dunno. It used to be that my Fendt’s were exotic like a Lamborghini sighting in a small rural Virginia town. Now I see them here and there. The only brand that doesn’t seem to grow is Challenger. I never see them but in videos. I was interested in buying a couple Massey’s as dedicated rake and tedder tractors, aside from a large cattle operation I also have a large hay operation. I’ve been running two Fendt 514’s and a 516 but would prefer a slightly less inexpensive option to add two more tractors for this. The Fendt’s are expensive for this job. What I don’t like about Massey is the poor designed cabs in the larger tractors. It’s just so busy looking and functions that should be on a Command Arm are on a pillar that you have to take your eyes off what your doing to find. I also compared the 8700s to my Fendt 933 and it just doesn’t measure up. Neither does the 7700 to the 700’s. I know Fendt is Agco’s premium line so I guess that’s expected. It seems Massey is dominating the utility and compact tractor market, at least in my neck of the woods.

      the 135 was legendary and still the foundation of many designs in todays tractors. The 2604H is very similar to the 135 in the transmission, hydraulics and rear end. No reason to change something so reliable.

    How high off the ground is the mower deck with it's up all the way? Could you still get around most areas and use the loader without much trouble? I am curious how much of a pain it is to get that mower in and out? Does it have to roll in and out or do you drive over it like some of the Deere machines?

    • @VahrenbergImplement
      @VahrenbergImplement  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is a Slide Under Deck but with the loader you can use the loader to raise up the tractor to install or remove the deck. This is a very deep deck with lots of capacity to move lots of grass clippings. Drive over sounds nice but we have had customers trade then green tractors for red with cab because of larger cab and the drive over deck concept when front tires hit it scoot the deck because too tall to climb up it . Works on shorter decks like GC Series but not like the marketing videos. You will be limited in ground clearance with a deck installed. We sell way more Rear Finish Mowers on larger tractors because of the advantages and being able to keep your tractor away from trees & hazards. But mid Mowers are Available. Have you seen Merz Implement 1835M video? th-cam.com/video/AwOrYL2s5bk/w-d-xo.html

      @@VahrenbergImplement So it doesn't sound too painful. Most years I would probably just have the mower deck on for the whole summer but if I needed to take it off too do a lot of loader work or brush hogging it doesn't sound too terrible to do...

    Does the mid mower have independent hydraulic lift or does it raise with the 3pt hitch. How is the height of cut adjusted?

    • @VahrenbergImplement
      @VahrenbergImplement  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It raises by the 3 Point Position Control Lever. With Position Control on the 1735M you return the lever to the position you want and it remains there. There are Position Control Stops you can set and upper and lower limit. So you can easily repeat everytime.

      On your 1735 ,1700 class series, with your video showing your mid mount mower ,I only wish you had a window of time of 30"to say a min ,showing some up/down, raising and lowering motion, it looks like it's in a fixed unmovable position, I grant it does look nice, but I don't see any video explanation of the mower up n down motion, IS THERE ANY MOTION AT ALL, YES OR NO,

    • @VahrenbergImplement
      @VahrenbergImplement  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Subcompact are all non-Cab from the factory but you can add Curtis Cab but they heat only. The smallest cab with factory air & heat is the 1835M. Hope that helps when you visit your local dealer.

    With those smaller tires in the rear, how tall does it make the tractor overall. Do you know what size the rear R4 tires are? Thank you great video.

    • @VahrenbergImplement
      @VahrenbergImplement  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      15x19.5 is the Rear Tires. I have not got a chance to go out and measure the tractor but it's only going to be a couple inches lower than the normal 24" rims. 4.5" taller rims divided by 2 = 2.25" shorter in height than the 14.9 or 17.5 x 24 R4 Tires

    Have a 1735m open station with the belly mower, works great however I opted for the larger tires so you need to be careful when turning sharp and when lifting the deck up, can’t raise all the way up or they’ll hit. I needed the larger tires for other applications so I’ll just deal with the minor inconvenience with mowing.

Dealers are allowed to put up to 25 hours without no loss of warranty terms to demo equipment to customers. Many of the videos feature a tractor my dad owns & equipment he owns to teach others or demo equipment the manufacturer has supplied. No different than taking a demo ride in an automobile. You were saying to the nature of having a 15.95 rear tire ,, now would that number be in reference to the width of the rear tire, now out of no disrespect but I am gonna ask some parts sizes questions, I mean I'm just gonna get nosy n curious, on the 1700 class and tractors from the earlier yrs of similar body model sizes, like I remember hearing about the 1600 class size, if you can answer the height of the rear tire ,i'm not saying I naturally would change the rear tire deliberately purposefully, I'm just saying in theory,now if the rear tire was changed to a taller tire by as much as 1 to 2 inches, and you would of course change the front tires just to keep things all around even ,I'm just saying in theory, i know your not going to agree with my reasoning, I'm just looking for answers, input,research, I am out just for one objective here,with that midmount mower deck being it's 72inch/6ft path of mowing, here's the main point of movable flexibility, how much room play is there between the rear tire , and the front tire ,""" with the mower deck raised all the way up ,and the tractor can still drive move and steering and drive, and like you said from before, the volume flow from inside the blade cutting area sounds plenty good, because I remember reading one of these comments about tractor equipment setup,,if the tractor hp size were to be up 40,50,55,60hp areas then the mower deck would not be workable, now am I correct to presume this tractor setup, I'm just researching what sounds good for my interest, cause in one way I'm a power nut freak,but already that 1700 class is already is an awesome mogo looking tractor the way it is right now, and that fuel tank, it sounds like it's really dam hungry, but as far as my dream of having a new tractor like that one, I'd be doing my garden work, and i bet the neighbors would really take notice ,i guess I'm done for now ,wayneeden95@gmail.com

      15-19.5 Tires are 19.5 Wide on a 15" Center Rim. On 4wd Tractors you must maintain the correct Front & Rear Tire combination to maintain the gear ratio of 0 to 5% Lead on the front axle or you can damage the Powered Front Axle. Taller tires limit the distance the deck can travel downward and the 15.19.5 is the only recommended tire by Massey Ferguson for use with Mid Mount Mowers.

    Hello again sir, I'm not wanting you to misread me as being a possible disrespecting smart ass ,I am meaning nothing of the sort ,but your business of residential address locations is one of several individuals who are doing gardening and farming videos on these given gardening n farming shopping variety of the different brands, I guess I had to do some research on questioning n research what ever possible answers I could get some one like yourself to answer,now all of the other implementations OTHER THAN the midmount mower deck are fine in their own right, I'm sure, but as far as their BEING A VIDEO showing the "" summer time mower deck, I'm sorry I honestly have not found one yet ,as myself making a comment statement about the midmount mower is of my curiosity of interest, it's nothing against your creativity or of the timing of these videos being made possibly during the winter!!! But if there is any chance of getting a given DETAILED video made with a lot of angles down side viewing angles, I do think it would make a great big difference for everyone else as well, because of what I'm saying, no it doesn't take a hell of lot to learn or figure out how to mow any mowable area, I'm just saying it would be nice if some one took the effort to get a summer time video produced, the h I g h th of that tractor and for those who might like the idea of a possible midmount mower deck, I think a video would be greatly appreciated to have, your video on that 1700 class tractor is respectable in its own right, but to think about the incredible size and ht of that tractor with a midmount mower deck and I think you said a 72inch wide path,well now that is just straight out an awesome setup ,sometimes I get these weird moods ,well some people get very detailed about what their possibly looking for, I hope I was able to clean up this matter of possible confusion we probably had, it was never anything against you, you obviously felt a need to question my view point in design sometimes, one question will lead to another, and that is how research is gets done , so are we both on the same page, you need a summer time mower deck video for that tractor setup, I would spend at least 30 minutes on one good video with several down low side angles ,try and find some tubing of some kind, aluminium or PVC, I'm sure it wouldn't take much ,get creative, wayneeden95@gmail.com

      We are a dealer and we try to demonstrate videos as best we can. The only concern I have is once we mow with the tractor it takes "The New" Away from the tractor and makes it hard to sell. We did this video last year as you can see in the starting picture it was grass cutting time. Inventory changes and if we get a chance this next grass growing season I will try to get some footage of it in action. I understand what you are looking for and hope you understand about us trying to maintain the new condition to retain the value of someone purchasing a New Massey Ferguson. We are allowed as dealers hours to demonstrate operation and do demo drives. Maybe I can get some credits from Massey Ferguson to do a demo video and help cover the value of "Cutting" the new off the tractor. Thanks for your comments and have enjoyed the discussions. You can't learn if you don't ask questions and we try to help answer them the best of our ability.
