Last video, we filled the wagon, now lets unload. Still plenty wet at time of video, not any better now. First time using the new wagon; that spring is functional for the floor ratchet. It shall be great for silage season.... if it ever stops raining.

"you just get straight out worn out dragging branches" -- I know the feeling. I've been clearing woods by hand on hillsides, and it can be pretty damn exhausting. Same stuff in our woods -- old fences, honeysuckle, junk trees, and other garbage to clear out.

near the end of the video when the clouds were messing with the sun light, you got a neat special effect. this seems to work pretty dog gone good. WD-40 might be the ticket for the sticking PTO pin and that thing having trouble with long slow strokes.

Be careful unloading heavy stuff in the wagon, something could very easily break. Chain, gears or the ratchet assembly

get your uncles bobcat, At one point you said he had a wood, mill, might be another good spot to get wood chip from.
you could look into building a basic pole barn, if you smash the concrete up a bit more you can use it for fill in your roadways.
there's probably a lot more junk under that bank than you want to know about, id try not to do to much earth work there than you need too.
You should still look into mole plowing, that creeks a fair drop so plenty of height for the water to drain out to .

One year used a Allis Chalmers WD to pull in & unload silage wagons (used 2 Massey Fergusons & 1 Badger wagon that looks just like yours). It would pull them in & did just fine but I wouldn't recommend it every year. lol

"its not going back all the way" there suppose to be a spring pulling it back against that big cam. without that spring takes forever to unload if anything. spring attaches just below that greasable roller and back to that green angle iron frame. heavy loads of corn silage like over 72% moisture those ratchet dogs may slip off/not hold and need to be replaced or welded squared up again other than that this is a good box should haul thousands of loads. when i chopped corn i would fill this badger box completely totally full both front/behind the beaters and it always unloaded good without having to pitchfork. just don't unload with tractor full throttle or the apron chain breaks goes up the silo.

    • @boehmfarm4276

The spring is there, probably needs more grease.
