the perfect lineup for me wouldve been: Gina, Kaylee, Camila, Lexus, KG, Savanna and Melissa (who sadly wasnt even able to appear in the bootcamp episodes) i got nothing against kendall at all, i js think she mostly got picked cause of visual. Which is common in survival shows. And im still in shock that Gina didnt make it, no doubt she wouldve finished this group perfectly
@@stanloonaheh The character evaluation in A2K was crucial to be able to debut and be part of the final lineup, if Kendall didn’t receive so many votes she would’ve probably be eliminated together with Cristina and Gina. But that’s one thing you have to reflect on : Kendall has received the most stickers together with Lexus by trainers! They know how much potential Kendall has and how much she improved. Im Korean, and the older kids plus young adults are not into Kpop here … we instead gravitate towards K-Indie music… if KG learned some Korean and sang country in Korean , she’d be a big hit here
Lol.. I thought that performance are the worst performance of KG, but maybe its hugely because I never like a "real" country music, I only like pop music that get some influence from country, like Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, Jewel etc..
My bet Savanna has the best potential. Because although her voice is not yet develop, its full in nature and resonating in nature and she could hit higher if trained properly.

Id love to watch you and hear your opinions on other episodes and performances too! My girl KG has such an amazing performance a little later on! Great video ^^
I 100% NEED part 2. Your analysis and commentary on the vocal performances is really insightful to people(me) who don't know anything about vocal performance
I appreciate your detailed analysis. I agree; it would be interesting to see how much they evolve until they reach the final group. I also believe that Camelia is one of the top singers, right up there with KG and melissa
They were given a list of songs to choose from.. none of them are easy. Its to see their capabilities and potential early on. The girls who made the group from this show deserved it! This was a tough one!
For Kpop, vocal technique no need to be very good, but good enough. Of course how minimal skill is subjective. Kpop group need to dance and sometimes dancing while singing. It is different skill. Usually "the voice kids" contestants have better vocal technique than debuted kpop group. Like you said, don't give songs that a kid do not understand. In these contest, Gina failed because she can only express a happy song. Everyone have different age to be mature mentally.
I hate jyp too for wanting her get rid of that voice style he's playing safe too much he needs to step out of the box that's why fifty fifty got it international.
I love this type of video! I enjoyed the show very much and it is very interesting to hear the opinions of someone with so much knowledge. It helps me understand more about it. I'd love to see you do another a2k reaction from their last few performances to see what you think about their progress. I'd also love to see you do this for some of the older shows like Gp999, Youth With You 2 and the Produce 101 series.
To choose Kpop artists 60% is about their dance/physical capabilities and the other 40% is half about their visuals/charisma and half about their singing/rapping. There are many members who debut without great singing skills because they are rappers or main dancers, the company gives them vocal lessons while they are already an established group
I really enjoyed this video. I usually watch your reactions to already established artists, where a lot of the time is spent explaining why they sound so good, and what techniques they use, to enhance their sound and performance. So watching this, where you instead critique some more obvious flaws and explain what causes them, is an interesting change, which also doesn't stray too much away from what I think your audience likes from your channel, AKA your in depth vocal knowledge. I would love to see more like this ^_^
Your point about these teenagers not having the right songs to sing is so true, they really won't empathise with a mature "scorned woman." I think JYP gave them a list of songs that the contestants could choose from so alas this is what happened :/
Having watched the show already, this was still very interesting. I hope you decide to continue reacting to trainees/contestants in the future (especially Dream Academy, since that show has basically no commentary).
I think, for the song choices, they only had a handful of songs to choose from for this episode. Idk who chose the songs, (probably JYP because they seem like songs he likes), but I agree that they aren't really appropriate for this age group to sing.
Wow, I’ve watched the whole series, and going back and seeing this, I almost feel like Kendall regressed throughout the competition? Her sounds stronger here
She regressed because JYP didn’t encourage her to work more on her vocals. He kept telling her she was great in every round. JYP sabotaged her vocally I think through his favouritism.
Kendall's singing was better than I remember and Kaylee's was less strong. The only thing I remember were droves of people saying Kendall was soooo bad and couldn't sing at all and Kaylee deserved the stone. And a TON of "justice for Kaylee" comments. Listening to Kaylee's performance again, this is actually not how I remembered it. I think because of the sheer volume of comments in the beginning saying Kendall couldn't sing at all and this was an awful performance. I came back expecting it to be awful but it turned out to be not bad and to have some strengths and parts that were good!
She actually improved with Wannabe and was able to use her chest voice. She sounds fab hitting that note. I've replayed it so many times. Lol. She improved again with 24 hours with a slower dance. Once they started giving her dances with fast, hard choreography, that's when she sounded worse because she was the most unstable contestant. There were only two times when she sounded really bad but for some reason, people only remember those. Lol. The first was when she recorded that 1 line for the outro song. She was given that line to sing for the first time and it sounded really bad in comparison to KG, Camilla and Kaylee (main and lead vocalists). In the studio version, she sounds MUCH better. ALSO, when NO ONE knew it was Kendall singing that last line, the line sounded OK and no one had an issue. AFTER finding out it was Kendall, suddenly people were saying the last voice in the outro sounds not as good as other people's. Dude, we've all heard the outro every episode and no one ever said that the person who sings the last line is bad. No one critiqued the last singer's voice until they found out it was Kendall LOL. Her first performance with that last stage was bad because she was unstable due to hard choreography. In the LA performance here, she didn't dance. Watch her performances now after the pre-debut stages. She's actually the most stable she's ever been so she did improve.
please continue for the next episode of tebtang a2k to the final episode, even they've already released the pre debut mv as well as and the name of the group from a2k is vcha
To be honest, she always gave me a more solo-ist vibe, and since dancing is not her most comfortable element, I think being a solo artist would suit her much more! Her singing blew me away
JYP has very specific tastes when it comes to singing. You see it in Sixteen (the show that put Twice together), in K-Pop Star (another idol audition show), and other shows he's a judge for. That's why he wants KG to take out the twang. He doesn't like it, and a number of other kpop companies don't like it either.
Me gusta mucho Kendall por como interpreta las canciones, me pone muy triste que ella reciba tanto odio por su canto, me encantó que apreciaras sus habilidades! thank U!!
I do think you'd similarly enjoy reacting to the Dream Academy vocal groups for Mission 1 - they're comparatively short and you could knock both out in a single reaction. You might also consider doing a couple of the final performances from R U Next? for the contrast with the performances here. It's Hybe (as is Dream Academy) but a much more typical Kpop survival show. I do not think the resulting group I'll-it (yes, the name is terrible) has a particularly strong main vocalist compared to Vcha (also terrible) and whatever Dream Academy will produce though I like them well enough. (But what I REALLY REALLY want is your take on Ado's recent release "Show".)
Melissa was the perfect fit for this group but sadly, she decided to quit before going to korea. Its also good because we get see more of Camilla and KG as vocalists but the remaining 4 members, I'd say Kaylee has the biggest potential of becoming a good lead vocalist more than Lexus and Savanna. I'm sorry but Kendall definitely debuted because she's JYP's favorite and after hearing her voice in the Y.O.Universe and mushow performances, girlie is indeed backed up by JYP. I hope div3 will consider giving the girls to republic records and let them make their music instead of jyp.
She’s JYPs favourite because of her good looks and stage presence. You can work hard to improve in dance and singing. There’s little work you can do to look better or have natural expressions.
Yeah they def had to choose from a set list of songs lol. I actually felt bad that they had to choose from ppl like Whitney, Keyshia Cole, and Adele. Like what?! Lol they really chose songs from the some of the best singers ever fr
Quiero tu análisis de dream academy. Quizás en el próximo reto puedas tener más información más profunda de las participantes. Actualmente hay dos videos donde están cantando. Espero que en el próximo evento todas puedan demostrar su habilidad en el canto. Muchas gracias
I miss Melissa... she was so good. I guess she was too good for a group. I hope she puts out some amazing R&B and brings back that generation of music.
Kpop artists are not just singer & performer. We see cuteness & pureness of them. So Kaylee & Kendall are not the 1st performer but they are good and makes people smile. They are adorable.
Hi, I’m new to your channel (probably came up because of A2K). I love your reaction and things you point out and will watch part 2 for sure! I checked out a couple other reactions and will probably subscribe! I’d love to see you react to the band ONEWE! Talk about vocal Heaven! ❤️💜💚💛💙They’re in the same company as Mamamoo.
I hope we see Melissa again. Her vocals are outstanding. Her control is amazing, her performance is next level. KG seems to have the most vocal training base. I dont love that JYP likes to only hear a very specific vocal tone for kpop. Yg (who gives the worst vocal training it seems) doesnt so this, so Rose has a lot of twang left to her voice and they work it.
Isn't she already performing solo though ? lol. Melissa's case is really strange to me. She knew she's a soloist and went for a KPOP girl group audition, and a JYP audition at that and as we all know, this is not CUBE or HYBE, there's barely any artistic freedom there, especially for girl groups. Makes me wonder if going there was for the sole purpose of getting more recognition and her name out there through a popular show. Her answer during the interview kinda cemented this impression for me.
@donlee4105 I was not a fan of Melissa or Yuna. Melissa obviously wanted to be a soloist. Yuna had a lot of issues, but she really was not up to the same level as the other girls.
Your videos are amazing!!! I don't know if you know but Hybe did a reality show too that formed a girl group called I'll-It!! I would love to see you react their vocal skills, the reality show was RU Next
I think Melissa is the best singer in A2K contest, she’s perfect, her singing was so professionally done👍🏼 KG will be after her. Other than that, I don’t really think anyone could done better than the 2 but unfortunately Melissa give up half way🥺 hope she’ll debut too.
we dont know that melissa "gave up" perse, she left for "personal reasons" it could have been a family emergency, or something of the sort, even if she did "give up" i would hope that she would know how talented she is, and use the exposure from it to further her career.

Like I said mostly hate and only some giving criticism saying that her vocals won't improve if jyp only praises her.
@@relaxcalmly1742imagine if kendall was so good than Gina and jyp pick Gina imagine how she and her fans and the audience would be. Kendall apart from Yuna dnt think she has the best among the other members she is just there even the facial expression he is talking abt for gina Kendall has only one facial expression. He is clearly biased in all honesty and the problem is that he did not even tell her mistakes if he was told her the mistakes we would have improved we the audience are the only ones speaking the truth.
@@aniki3856 I see those comments too. Those are mean comments. They are upset when there are unfairness. I’m not excusing their behaviors and do not condone it. However, when people say things like “Lexus sound better than Kendall on this part____… and JYP doesn’t even acknowledge it” or “she sounds weak and voice cracks on that part” they are comparing out of unfairness or out of constructive criticism if it is true.
It’s when they say “she sucks” or “i hate her voice” or “her voice is ugly,” that’s disrespectful and rude. Those are straight up just criticism and doesn’t do anyone good. They’re a team, so we should just support them equally as one so they can be a strong team. Anyone can have their biases but don’t make enemies with fans of one team. I admire them all individually and they have their own uniqueness and strengths.
Id love to watch you and hear your opinions on other episodes and performances too! My girl KG has such an amazing performance a little later on! Great video ^^
I 100% NEED part 2. Your analysis and commentary on the vocal performances is really insightful to people(me) who don't know anything about vocal performance
A nice analysis, it helps me to connect more details that I missed to see. Btw it's very nice to see your video. Your voice rocked!
Now that was great young lady. Please do more on this group. Thank you so much
Very interesting! I’d like to see part 2 with the other contestants
Melissa has a good voice, it is just sad that she quit the show before they went to Korea.
Fr Camilla, Melissa, and Kg was the Jiwoo, Channell, and Jongeun version of A2K 😭
why are you spoilering this?
@@sayurioffenborn4960cause its over, the group is decided
@@soosoolar maybe people watching this which not knowing the group or thr resoult.
@@sayurioffenborn4960 why would you do that instead of watching the actual show lmfao
Love this video i wish you did the second vocal evaluation when they went to korea to see the progression of the kids.
melissa's performance on the character evaluation episode was my fav, when she performed her own song
I love this type of content. I watched the whole show religiously. I would love to hear your take on it more ❤❤
Couldn't agree more. I love KG's country twang.
Then why KG came to kpop audition? She should have gone to a country singer audition.
@@ginapark9902that was her decision...
@@ginapark9902 listen to her solo songs and you will get it

쟝르에 한계를 가져올수 있으므로 JYP는 그것을 없애라고 하는것으로 보이네요~~
Yes plsss!! You gotta finish listening to the rest though! Pls do part 2!! Thanks 😊
7:04 I burst out laughing at mischa's reaction too when I watched this ep 😭😭 she's so cute
There are many members who debut without great singing skills because they are rappers or main dancers, the company gives them vocal lessons while they are already an established group
theres so many unprofessionals judging their ability😭 ty for this vid
I really enjoyed this video. I usually watch your reactions to already established artists, where a lot of the time is spent explaining why they sound so good, and what techniques they use, to enhance their sound and performance. So watching this, where you instead critique some more obvious flaws and explain what causes them, is an interesting change, which also doesn't stray too much away from what I think your audience likes from your channel, AKA your in depth vocal knowledge.
I would love to see more like this ^_^
Honestly kg has so much potential. Shes definitely one of my most favorite contestants. Shes eye-catching and unique and i love her vocals.
Your point about these teenagers not having the right songs to sing is so true, they really won't empathise with a mature "scorned woman." I think JYP gave them a list of songs that the contestants could choose from so alas this is what happened :/
Can you do further analysis on A2k i found this so insightful. Perhaps on other performances on the show
Also pls continue with a second part! I loved watching a2k and I also love hearing what u have to say
Please please do it for JYP's other current show Nizi Project 2 also!
Melissa was so perfect So sad that she decided not to continue the show😭
Having watched the show already, this was still very interesting. I hope you decide to continue reacting to trainees/contestants in the future (especially Dream Academy, since that show has basically no commentary).
Looking forward to more!
Love this kind of reaction 🩵🩵
yeah def do the second part
I think, for the song choices, they only had a handful of songs to choose from for this episode. Idk who chose the songs, (probably JYP because they seem like songs he likes), but I agree that they aren't really appropriate for this age group to sing.
Thanks for this video. Lookimg forward to the next one on the other members
I need to see your reactions to the more final performances at the final stages! Just to see their growth and what you think about that! ❤
Well also here she’s just standing and singing but in the other performances she’s dancing too.
Loved the video! I hope you can keep watching a2k and see some of the girls evolve!
Omg i cant wait for this video so people can stop talking nonsense about who has best vocals...
It’s crazy how she gave the exact same comments jyp got so much hate for 😭
A2K is fun to watch especially towards the last 5 episodes honeslty
I hope you reacted to some group performances, they usually does better on groups
Very good analysis 😊❤
thank youuu! :)
please continue for the next episode of tebtang a2k to the final episode, even they've already released the pre debut mv as well as and the name of the group from a2k is vcha
Yes please about a2k please :) especially the final performances!
JYP set the songlist they had to choose from 😅 i don't know why he chose so difficult songs
Oh my, Melissa! She was really incredible and I'll always be thinking of her! She did so well in this competition
To be honest, she always gave me a more solo-ist vibe, and since dancing is not her most comfortable element, I think being a solo artist would suit her much more! Her singing blew me away
@@atlanteantapir omg I completely agree
I love your analysis! Very interesting!
Melissa was my favorite voice from this show, i still miss her 😔
JYP has very specific tastes when it comes to singing. You see it in Sixteen (the show that put Twice together), in K-Pop Star (another idol audition show), and other shows he's a judge for. That's why he wants KG to take out the twang. He doesn't like it, and a number of other kpop companies don't like it either.
Yes! Please do more of these.
I need you to react to the second part of this vocal test
im so sad melissa never went to korea for whatever reason cause her vocal color is WOW
Kendall is JYPs favorite thats why she praised her so much
The new Ado's song "show" is crazy!cant wait for your reaction!
Excellent commentary!
Please do a video of their evaluations later on in the show!
Please check out their pre debut track after you finish the series
A lot of K-pop companies want to push their idols into singing a particularly style which is why he made those remarks on KG’s vocal twang.
sometimes it is such a pity. Like I understand the need to be able to build the sound of the group but I love the originality in voices.
@@Katriinka Totally agree! And it’s even worse when they also force idols to singing out of their range in favor of highness :(
Yes, just like Rosè. I like it though it’s unique and I wish they let her sing with her twang a lil bit and not get rid of it completely
Yep. It’s super common for a K-pop group member to get a solo song and people go, “Wow, I didn’t know they could sing like that!” 😂
Melissa was the perfect fit for this group but sadly, she decided to quit before going to korea.
Melissa was never a perfect match for this group or Kpop genre. Melissa's natural voice is that of a solo singer in a different music genre.
Melissa she surprised me. It's a shame she hadn't finished the competition.
That's a very accurate explanation.
omg ~
I miss Melissa... she was so good. I guess she was too good for a group. I hope she puts out some amazing R&B and brings back that generation of music.
Kpop artists are not just singer & performer. We see cuteness & pureness of them. So Kaylee & Kendall are not the 1st performer but they are good and makes people smile. They are adorable.
@Katriinka , they already had many professional vocal coach.
you should have collaboration with jyp
Hi, I’m new to your channel (probably came up because of A2K). I love your reaction and things you point out and will watch part 2 for sure! I checked out a couple other reactions and will probably subscribe! I’d love to see you react to the band ONEWE! Talk about vocal Heaven! ❤️💜💚💛💙They’re in the same company as Mamamoo.
I’d recommend A book in Memory, AuRoRa, or Star to start with ❤️
The half baked comment is what got me :P
I am sure it is SAVANNA!!!! 😊❤️❤️
My fav voices are kaylee and camila
I really enjoy listenning to them
I hope we see Melissa again.
@@DoctorStrange01i loved all of contestants except for her. Like you said, recognition
@donlee4105 I was not a fan of Melissa or Yuna. Melissa obviously wanted to be a soloist. Yuna had a lot of issues, but she really was not up to the same level as the other girls.
Feeling nervous!!!OMG
I hope you watch Camila's part
we need the second partt
definitely want to see more a2k videos!
Your videos are amazing!!! I don't know if you know but Hybe did a reality show too that formed a girl group called I'll-It!! I would love to see you react their vocal skills, the reality show was RU Next
All of VCHA are ❤
I LOVE YOUR REACTIONS TO KENDALL'S SONG AHHAHAHAHHAHA
I think Melissa is the best singer in A2K contest, she’s perfect, her singing was so professionally done👍🏼 KG will be after her. Other than that, I don’t really think anyone could done better than the 2 but unfortunately Melissa give up half way🥺 hope she’ll debut too.
we dont know that melissa "gave up" perse, she left for "personal reasons" it could have been a family emergency, or something of the sort, even if she did "give up" i would hope that she would know how talented she is, and use the exposure from it to further her career.
I love this video. Can you please also analyse the Dream Academy mission 1 vocal performances?
