It's amazing, when Brad Fitler first came to coach Origin he knew what N.S.W needed, fresh blood and football talent! Now he has fallen into the same old N.S.W selection trap! mates & thugs before footballers! Wingers and Centers making hit ups, 2nd rowers making glory runs, It's stinks of the 8 year run all over again.

Agreed! Queensland been doing the same backline move for over a decade 3-4 blockers one way then repeat the other side fullback in over lap, numbers, try. So easy to read🤷🏽♂️If I’m standing next to you, I give you a bounce out with the guy outside you blocking you run in front of you pretending to get it off me. They do 3-4 of those every time 🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️then the other way. Every year. They say its Queensland spirit, it’s just smarter. Billies been doing that play forever even with storm

Fotuaika was very good. Got over the ad line every time he ran it. Walsh is great. He doesn't just get the ball and try to make something happen like 2023 tedesco, he plays his role in good shape perfectly...with the added bonus of the off the cuff stuff

As a proud qlder, the first 2 tries were arguable but there’s no excuses for the others💀😂
The first one has been a try all year.
Second one was clearly forward, but it wasn't a close game in the end and the penalties clearly favored NSW aswell as blatant NSW ruck infringements going un-called. I'd say it evened out pretty nicely.

he passed once or twice to Moses instead of carrying and Moses was able to look dangerous, but he needed to do that more often. He kept trying to carry the ball forward even when they kept him nicely wrapped up.
Naahhhhh he passes too much that's the fking problem. The fking second man set plays. Everytime Yo gets the ball he is looking for a second man. When Murray came on he was running straight and direct and that's what got the Blues their try

I said before the series, Freddy wont acknowledge the lack of fitness Turbo has and that will put them in jeapoardy. I said he would make rash selections and not allow combos to form. I said he would pick his mates like Teddy and that would hurt them. Well injury made the selection changes, Freddy did the rest.

No X factor in the centres and five-eighth. Turbo injured, no Latrell. Luai rubbish. Moses tried hard but no back-up. Cody Walker has been probably the best 6 in the comp this year, and would have added huge spark but.. Fittler wants his Panthers.

Last game QLD found a bit more effort at key moments and desire and heart got them over the line. This time, they were just plain old better than NSW across the board.
Awesome team, awesome effort. Credit to DCE, he's been consistently great for QLD and last night was no different. Proud.
Passionate Maroons fan here, & I'm stoked with the result; but I've gotta say that that was pretty much the most inept, disjointed, disorganised attack I've ever seen from a NSW team. Heaps of possession & territory but never really threatened our line. Every time Blues tried something it either broke down thru poor execution, or Qld had it covered easily. Not sure that Cleary would have made much of a difference to be honest ....
I think the denominator was not enough penalties for NSW qld made points off forward passes. Go back to old school rules if it was forward it was declined

brad fitler is too much of a nice guy, picking Tedesco after poor performances with the roosters and keeping him after an abysmal game 1 just because hes the captain and loyalty.. Slater saw Pongas form and injury stints and made a brave and bold decision. Instead of sticking to the loyalty narrative he went with the player that he believed who could get the job done.

Everyone knows turbo is not fit. This is not hindsight it's very obvious to everyone except Brad fittler . The bottom line when Josh Addo Carr was sent to the bin with 2 minutes to go he smiled and

Down 32-6, sin-binned for punching a player while hiding behind another, losing the series, and he had the audacity to walk off smiling and laughing shows the complete lack of pride and passion in the Blues.

The ref and touch judge decide not to call forward pass in this game.
They had overlooked the blues giving away a penalty on the tackle before if you watch it. Badger let them play for a change. The blues got heaps more penalties and just dropped it or ran one-out. Plenty of chances, none converted. Looked like no tactics from Freddy at all. You got problems, the ref letting the game flow isn't one of them.

That split second delay pass from Cherry Evans at 2.45 into clip was gold. NSW just don't have the intelligence in their side to compete with Queensland .
The interest in Origin here in NSW I have noticed has severely gone down. I fear for the future of State of Origin if QLD go on to have another dominant decade… which is looking very likely.
