I feel like Reign is the most underrated serie of all time.. This serie is one of the best series i´ve ever watched in my whole life and for those who says the opposite, just go away.

She actually wrote Marie because than in any situations with contracts she can say that it doesn’t matter anymore because it isn’t her name
Well she was raised in France from 1548-1560, and later changed her surname from Stewart to Stuart too so it’s not surprising she used the french variant of her nMe

I hate how they ended the series! There was SO MUCH MORE left to Mary’s story that would’ve been badass to watch on screen. Overall it was an amazing show.

I love Mary because people think that queens should just sit, nod, bow, and stay quiet but honestly it's the opposite you cant be a queen if you dont have a voice like Mary and I loved her acting in this it was amazing and one of the best
Its already been said, but *Reign was criminally underrated* - better than Game of Thrones (in my opinion). I got goosebumps just about every episode, such good acting - and believable, immersive drama. I honestly think that it wasn't as popular as it could've been because of Game of Thrones - it's hard to compete with nudity, CGI, and consistently killing off several characters just to get the attention of an audience.
The show was good, but game of thrones is much better, not just because of nudity, watch all the show! What about Vikings, Dead walkers? Reign is good tv show, but there are a lot of shows better!
And it’ s much realistical than Reign! Dead men have to be dead! Not mention shit 8 season!
@@amina1295 Reign is loosely based on reality, they were all real people - if you know the history or read into it, its really sad and violent the way their lives went. I just think that if you need nudity in your show, just to get the attention of the audience - your show probably isn't as interesting on its own. They both had terrible endings, but Reign's was a lot more realistic.
I've watched this series 3 times. Each time after the first, it feels like the first time. Mary was such a strong beautiful character. A powerful sad show 💜🤧

It’s sad how Mary Queen of Scots son signed her death warrant so he can have power the Stuart name is gone but her name her blood still is here today
Her son did not sign her death warrant, as she was in England and he had no power there, he was the King of Scotland and Queen Elizabeth I was ruler in England, two separate nations. The Union only came when James became King of both countries upon Elizabeth's death in 1603. Even if she lived, he would have remained King as she abdicated and very few wanted her back. Plus England would not want a Catholic ruler, Mary was Catholic and James was Protestant. The Stuart line ended when Queen Anne died, James's great granddaughter in 1714 without heirs, so her successor, though a great grandson of his, was a Hanover as he was descended through one of his daughters, thus the family change.

Anne had a younger half-brother. He should have become king but the English lords did not want him because he was a Catholic.

I just wished they had gotten more seasons or had the chance to properly wrap up the last season. The writing got choppy and rushed. They could've given Mary a real home coming considering she had more people than Francis waiting in the afterlife

Gotta admit, it bugs me when they give someone who is supposed to be scottish an English accent. Especially someone as historically well know as Mary Stuart. If it was completely accurate she'd probably have a French accent, but I'd settle for her to at least sound scottish! Lol

I loved Mary and Francis and their love story. But I also enjoyed that Mary seemed to get even stronger after he died, as a woman and a queen. Her life, in this series, had a lot of pain in it but she persevered and fought for what she wanted. Luckily, after a life of struggle and much of it on her own, in the end she found peace and love again in heaven!

The song is ironic because if only she was silent then she wouldn't have gotten her husband killed and then wouldn't have been in prisoned by the English and then executed, all that because she wouldn't be a good little queen and be quiet
But then she would've lost her country and would have been dead way earlier😂 A queen just can't stay silent because otherwise she couldn't do her job
the last season makes me cry over and over. mary had such a hard life and tried to get away from it, only to be imprisoned and eventually beheaded by Elizabeth. i grew to love her character.
