Seeing the project vehicle in so many pieces kinda makes it hard to imagine the final results. But after seeing how you did with the painted door assembly, the finished truck will surely be worth the hard work and something to be very proud of ! You didn’t mention the drivetrain plans but I’m pretty sure a Broader Transmission will be the perfect choice 🏁.
It's overwhelming for sure at this stage. Especially when I didn't disassemble it myself. I have a 351w to go in it and it's getting a 4R70W transmission.
@@BroaderPerformance Jay, by not having the advantage of disassembling it yourself is more than enough reason to feel a little overwhelmed. But I think since you have the patience and ability to master the intricate details of automatic transmissions, the truck project shouldn’t be too difficult. Depending upon the intended use of the truck, a 351 Windsor based engine would probably be all you need. I like Clevelands and a stroker 408” or 427” Windsor short block with aftermarket Cleveland alloy heads would be a more powerful choice for the heavy truck. Just avoid Speedmaster heads or Procomp components. I can recommend legitimate American manufacturers and vendors if needed 🇺🇸🏁.
Apaht. All the pahts. Miss being around that accent , raised in the Baystate (living in the south now)… anyhow dipping it is hella pricey but no warping no sand surprise when painting no texture changes. Sitting on my ‘47 dually till I can afford the same. Going to set it on a 90’s cummings dodge chassis… Hey check out Rungë cars on yt, great coach builder also khaos design yt out of Australia great stuff.* edit to add love your perspective and attitude- so refreshing. Also great point on wanting to drive it not perfect it- oh man that hit home😅
Chemical stripping IS the way to go. I sanded and blasted till I was sick of it at about 3/4 stripped and basically ran out of time so took the car to a body shop and they used chemical strip to finish it up before prep and paint.
The sandblasting is too risky. The panels get warped. If you can afford to have a company chemical dip it that is the most thorough way. I'm guessing it's pretty expensive though.
Color is on point for that truck, the wife should love it.
She did good. I wasnt sure at first but now I get it.
That door came up nice. Color looks fantastic... I agree there's so many good treatments + chemicals now
Thank you. Appreciate the feedback

A lot of them (probably most) get sanded.
😎🏴☠️
I’d pay for that work.
Most people dont think like that these days. Kinda sad honestly. People only care about money now.
What kind of powertrain are you going to have in it
Honda
351w with a 4R70W transmission. The original 6 cylinder was seized up.
