Thanks for taking the time to do this Livia! I watched the show and became very fascinated with it and subsequently became a fan as well. You make a really good point about the Hawthorne effect unconsciously changing one's behavior when being watched -- of course I'd want to be on my best behavior too if I knew it was going to be televised and I'm thinking that might have become a little stressful after a while. It sucks that you got sick during the show. That's happened to me before and it can be a bummer. I'm glad Mnet seemed to provide one of their better staff teams for UHSN -- the concept of the show is pretty ambitious since they're basically testing the waters on how the Korean idol trainee system would work for a group made entirely of foreigners, so it's kinda cool that they seemed to go all out to make sure it went well. From what I've heard, the show producers were very meticulous with choosing the cast for the program and I think they did a pretty outstanding job. For what it's worth, I think you would've made a great leader if UHSN actually became an active group. I'm sure being a psych major probably helps in dealing with all the different personalities! I think it's great that you all genuinely got along with each other -- I'm pretty sure that was a big deciding factor with how the producers chose who would be participating in the show. You all had a great balance of talent, looks, personality and mental fortitude and it made watching the show really cool. I had a big smile on my face when it turned out that the show's instrumental opening theme was actually the song they were planning on giving you. Hope you do well in university Livia!
재능괴물이 맞네요. 편집도 깔끔하고 목소리랑 발음이...스웨덴어+영어+한국어...또 있나요? 모국어도 아닌데 왜케 잘하는거야. 3주간이란 시간 MV촬영, 안무연습, 녹음 에피소드 촬영 등 단시간 안에 찍어내려니 아이돌 못지않은 스케쥴을 해내야 했군요. 재밌는건 영상 지켜보고 있자니 메이크업이 한국에서 배운 에피소드를 떠올리게 만드네요. 방송에서는 전혀 몰랐는데 평생 별로 아픈적 없는 사람이 병원까지 갈 정도였는데.. 마지막까지 밝게 찍혀서 전혀 몰랐네요. 무엇보다 모두가 아직도 함께 잘 지내고 있다니 다행입니다. 항상 응원합니다!
Finally some proper information on how things would work. A show is entertainment and producers are there to make the show entertaining. Some times the edit is quite shady but they are trying to push a narrative to interest the viewer. The narrative makes you go through a journey with the person and makes you fall in love ( or sometimes hate ) with them. Also tysm for mentioning the production teams! I feel like sometimes people forget that the same people are not working on all the projects and certain producers have their style of creating entertainment.
