Earlier this year I uploaded a game and video that both underperformed. People seemed to love the video and the shorts I had made utilizing the same footage had done extremely well. I realized I could use the 'related video' feature in the shorts to push people towards the main video. After making a ton of shorts, I decided to fully commit and make 30 shorts over the course of 30 days.
This video is the result.
Join me as I show off all of the different shorts I created, the ups and downs, successes and failures. Ultimately I think I discovered a few trends to help use TH-cam shorts to market my games and how to increase viewership generally speaking.

Yeah, that balance is super hard to find. You have to market something so people know it exists but you can't spend all your time on marketing otherwise you have no game worth playing

Thanks! I definitely enjoyed the challenge and learned a lot. For me it was a rare mix of having enough time to do something like this plus having tons of good footage already lined up. The numbers can definitely be frustrating at times. Do you post your videos anywhere other then TH-cam? I tend to link mine in different discords and that helps some

The big thing is that shorts tend to get views easier but those views don't tend to transfer (just over ~1% clicked to the full video). Genre, Title, and hook within the short all seem to be important. If you have any other questions I'd love to answer them!
