Shop and item balancing is definitely the biggest problem with bedwars. A good way to fix this would be giving a pattern for how resources are spent, like diamonds buying team upgrades and emeralds buying more advanced items (as an example). It would give players more of an incentive to push for certain objectives to further boost their power, which would significantly boost player enjoyment. Although, I enjoy the slower pace of the game and the sense of simplicity involved so it’s easy to learn. In terms of items to add when the game advances, the only thing I would really suggest is TNT. Overall, I see a lot of potential for Bedwars and I do believe it can live up to the hype, but as of the moment there is simply not enough. This issue will likely be addressed later on as new content is added.
I kind of wish it was like the treasure, where you can just one shot it, instead of having to mine it, while you have a whole squad from behind trying to kill you...

I would rate bedwars a 7/10 and here’s why. First of all is the cost of the armor. I feel like chain armor is a good price, but they should make iron armor 20 diamonds, and diamond armor 20 emeralds, since lots of people can get diamond armor really fast. The islands from other teams are a bit more spread apart, which I like, so people wouldn’t side rush you 5 seconds into the game lol. I also like the pricing of most items, like the wool and the swords. I also like that when you break beds, it takes 1-2 seconds for it to break, so it’s harder for people to break, rather than just tapping on it, like in treasure wars. I personally think bedwars will get better over the next couple of weeks, due to seasons coming out, including challenges and leaderboards.
Personally, I loved t-wars so much, the reason I played hive rather than the other servers is bc of t-wars. It was different than bed wars, I have a HUGE problem with the bed, the treasure was MUCH easier to protect quickly, the bed just gets annoying. I might be a little biased bc I have to relearn protecting the bed- I honestly preferred the shop from t-wars, it had more, and prices were sooooo much better. I'm willing to relearn but I played t-wars for 4 years :/
I really have liked bewares I was sour at first since levels reset and treasure wars had good memories with me but now playing it more I think its growing on me I think its a much better built game I do think however that they should buff the dragon thingy and add snowballs

ive been saying its refreshing and different from treasure wars and it isnt so routine with just insantly side-rushing people 15 seconds into the game and thats honestly all i need (and i wish i could see more things like this out of other featured servers)
One of my gripes about Bedwars are the generators not splitting items between teammates. Since inflation got so bad that it has spread to Minecraft, I was expecting generators to split items between teammates (like in Hypixel and NetherGames), kinda mad they didn't. Other thing I kinda have a problem about is the price of the Dorys, four emeralds is a little too cheap, just do a lap around mid and you'll get a Dory, there should definitely be a limit to how many Dorys you can get. Other than that, 7/10 gamemode, love the health indicators, things can be changed, overall decent gamemode.
I personally think its really fun and and easy to play, but the tools are weirdly priced and so is the armor. But overall this new gamemode is really good
my first impression on bedwars was absolutely horrendous, especially as a controller player. not only that though, the issue was with the amount of hackers. i played 3 games and 2/3 of them i got absolutely demolished by a reach hacker and their teammate who was b-hopping on my first game, and on my second.. i dont even know what this one was, they got to my island and the bed just broke. they didnt even break the defense nor were they even looking at it LMAO. this may just be an issue with the hives moderation because you can, for example, fly hack, and yes it will immediately kick you but it will let you back in with no problems. ALSSOO correct me if im wrong but they completely removed treasure wars wiping everyone’s progress and levels, i reeeallyy didnt like that. sorry for my yapping i just really wasnt too happy with bedwars.
I think bedwars is good! They kept all of their hard work and made this game, for the people who were super exciting, the hive released bedwars too early, bedwars needed more update but like its good already, the upcoming updates gonna get hive bedwars better than any bedwars server on the Java and bedrock community, it's my opinion.

The one thing I absolutely hate is when a team is eliminated and then you can’t use their npc like you used to in tw, because I could be getting the last team and need more fire balls but the npc isn’t on the opposite island so I gotta run all the way back to my base just to go back but they probably were getting emeralds while I bought more fire balls or things in general Edit: they fixed it
The main things I dislike about the game is that strategy seems very unclear (though its early on in the game). Blocks seem very expensive to me (specifically wool) and Iron overall is too involved in the shop for how much things cost. All resources that come from the generator aren't very fast, so having a fireball cost 64 iron or a dragons breath cost 48 iron is very insane to me. Side not, making wool more scarce and then spacing out the maps just makes doing anything like 10 times harder and makes getting around the map a very slow process even though I prefer the non rush metta it shouldn't be so hard to get to someone . But back to what I was saying it makes them almost not worth it to me but fireballs overall right now are inbalanced as shown they do half health to a diamond and they have no physics so its almost like a bail out for anyone with little to no gear if thats what they opt for in order to squeeze out a win. Diamonds also aren't valuable in the slightest as the most they do for anyone is give diamond armor and upgrade gen (team upgrades are fraud), then it's useless, at the end of a game having used the diamonds for the things above I had 4 STACKS LAYING AROUND. The game feels like it could be amazing but a LOT of balancing issues alongside some lag that I feel is server side due to the influx of players. Things need to be tweaked where everything is in constant use (Also an em per obsidian is WILD) and mid needs to become more valuable. Currently staying at your base is the best option in the sense that you get everything you need from your gen (Bow and Arrow, Blocks, Armor, Turrets) you maybe need to go to mid once or twice ish and then your set for the rest of the match to simply defend your base. DORY IS DEFINITELY THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE GAME THOUGH
Don’t get me wrong Hive Bedwars is fun, but it’s a lot harder for mobile players that still use the old controls. Back then you could just tap the treasure and it would break, now you have to full on break it which takes a little longer for mobile. Other than that though awesome update!

You don't need skill to win. There needs to be a version of bedwars where you can't buy anything and u just get a set of armor, a sword, and blocks and that's it. That would be skillful. Any version of bedwars like that isn't popular which is why bigger servers like Hive needs to make versions like that.

Sir, Minecraft is dying hence THE HIVE is dying. and as a whole Treasure wars was dying build battle always had more than treasure wars, if they added bedwars as a seperate thing the communities would split and empty lobbies would become emptier, when the two split both would die out because not enough people to share and people would play the hive as a whole. trust me this is much better than if bedwars and tw coexisted and this was unescapable for the hive

Treasure wars was great at the pacing of the game because of how aware you had to be and to know what's up and had a stable base but didn't add much. Bedwars is COMPLELTY the opposite, a lot of new items which can be used in different ways but with no great stable structure of what bedwars is. I think the Hive went a little too much on the custom items and didn't really focus on the gameplay and balancing. (I'm going to get bullied I know)

I dont think obsidian is expensive. In hypixel its 4 for 4, 8 for a full bed defense, and here it's basically 1 for 1 obsidian (8 to make a full bed defense) so you would need 8 ems for a full obby defense

I just played bed wars for the first time today, and honestly, I am not impressed. For how long we waited for this update I feel it did not deliver. There is only a handful of new items, most of those items are gimmicky and dont fit nicely into gameplay. I share the same thoughts on a few things mentioned in the video, like how the new item shop is nice, prices are weird, pacing is off, and that all core issues are with gameplay. But I do not agree that players are wrong for criticizing Hive, I feel there is a lack of creativity when it comes to putting items into this game mode, and the fact they have even taking content out of it, such as the tnt's and snowballs, is absurd (although snowballs being gone is definitely a good thing). I just think the absence of unique items that actually affect gameplay is what really kills the "new" game mode for me. Its just treasure wars with extra steps. (side note): Deleting everyone's levels is also questionable to me. Why not add more prestige's? Also the bounties are cool, they encourage you to use items that you wouldn't normally use and add new objectives, albeit the rewards aren't worth it.
I personally think it's stupid that they gave the game a much more piratey theme than they did for Treasure Wars.
