You did a good job explaining how it all works. It was easy to follow. Specifically though what about having reed valves is better then a piston port? It seems as though it would just be more fuel efficient, being that you wouldn't loose fuel in the blow back process.
Yes it would. It would be bending at the end where mounted the most causing it to brake. A sharp bending point. The stopper also provides a smooth arch reducing stress in any particular area. insuring longevity and performance.
Side note: boysen dual reed blocks will still have a bar style limiter much smaller but still there. I cant see what your working on. So hope this helps.
Great video could a bad Reed valve cause high rpm issues ? Our ktm 125 sounds crisp on short revs but if go to wot seems to have a miss of sorts our holeshots are impossible with whatever is going on with the bike
Why do four stroke riders think their bikes rev to 13k rpm ? They top out between 6- 7k rpm ,that's why they always have a smaller rear sprocket then 2strokes because they have half the rev range then a 2stroke .
This is the best explanation that I’ve heard re: reed valve function. Well done and thanks for posting!
Very informative, but easy to follow. Thanks
Nice and simple 👌
❤️🔥❤️🔥
Thanks for these educational vids, you make these subjects super easy to understand in a concise and logical manner 🤟🙏
Good explanation
Great explanation in layman's terms. Thanks for that
The most simplest fool-proof video anyone can watch! Brilliant.

Very well explained bro.
Thanks.
awesome - keep them coming
Wicked good explanation
Thank you sir yes this video did help me and thank you 💯👑❤️🙏
Thank you bro.
very helpful thank you. Question what makes aftermarket/high performance reeds better
than stock
🔥
You did a great job thank you very much
Helped me out. Thanks!
Thanks. Nice explanation.

You look like ron swanson with a baseball cap
why do my KTM EXC 300 revs stay high when i shut the throttle off. Worse when engine is hot doing hard enduro
Would not haveing the reed valve stoppers on cause starting problems?

@@texas2strokes727 I'm working on a Yamaha blaster, and thanks for the response #new subscriber from Texas

I'd say it's fs possible

Good work 👍
