I LOVE dark and moody! We are currently redoing our ADU and I've gone with Narragansett Green by Benjamin Moore. It's beautiful!

Hi, what is the gray paint color of the wall in your thumb nail. It is beautiful
It is really beautiful but because it's a stock image I don't know what color it is. It has a lot of green in it. Check out Sherwin Williams Cornwall Slate or Link Gray.
Should we choose the window treatments before choosing paint colors to see the proper lighting and shade on a color sample? Any videos on where to begin on a starter home that needs fully redone over time that’s budget-friendly? Thanks
Unless your window treatments are inspiring your design as a whole, I wouldn't start there. Think of them as you would your furniture upholstery and coordinate them with your fixed finishes like flooring. There are lots of videos on the channel that can help you out and you might find it helpful to look at the playlists that organize the information by topic.

What do you think of the colony pewter tankard. My bedroom is painted that color. Due to health issues I wasn't able to pick all the paint colors in our new home. Now I don't know how to decorate with this color.
We have a large west facing window with dark flooring and medium stained hickory molding.

Hi Robbin! I wasn't able to find a paint color by that name. Could it be Pewter Tankard by Sherwin Williams? If so, it's a beautiful warm gray and a very versatile color. I think it probably looks really good with your dark wood.
@@BalanceRhythm yes I meant pewter tankard. What color metal would you use with this? I'm using tones of beiges for bedding and curtains. Would you add another color for a pop of color or keep this color scheme? Thank you so much for your help.
I've also considered repainting our bedroom in either Greek villa or canvas tan. I don't know for sure what undertones they are though. (I have a severe traumatic brain injury that affects my eyes).
What kind of light bulbs would you recommend?
@@robbinkampa5691 Pewter Tankard is a deep gray with a hint of warmth so you could bring in some warmer metals like antique brass for contrast or a nickel or black metal that can be pretty neutral. I'd probably switch out anything beige which has a yellow undertone for white or a light taupe. But it sounds like you prefer warmer undertones so you could repaint in Greek Villa or Canvas Tan that both have a yellow undertone. As far as lightbulbs go, I really like the standard 2700 Kelvin bulbs and also the GE Reveal Bulb which gives a truer light without being too white. Check with your neurologist though, because your doctor is going to be the best one to guide you in this case. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
@@robbinkampa5691Pardon me for butting in. My entry and family room are painted in Greek Villa. It is bright (LRV 83, I believe). My family room is south facing and I have many trees outside, so it's not glaring.There is a slight yellow undertone, which sometimes reads green because of the trees. I have an older house with lots of walnut-wood built-ins. Looks really nice with Greek Villa.
If you have a lot of natural light, I can envision it being very bright. Definitely check with your doctor. Take care and best wishes.

You are exactly right, the color is too bright. I'd end up keeping drapes closed or wearing sunglasses to help me. I have to wear sunglasses into stores and most public places.
