- In this video I will show you how to repair your SONY BRAVIA LCD television Model BX300, if the surface of display, that is polarizer film have become rough or broken and white patches which is making the display white and learn how LCD work.
This video I will Show you how to remove the polarizer film, clean the display and install a new polarizer film. I will also explain the electronics responsible for television function.
This video also explains how LCD works to display images.

I actually did this after watching several videos on it and it was a lot easier than it looks. I gave my 12 year old TV a brand new life.
Dude - you lost all credibility when you left those air bubbles in!
Thanks for the tutorial. I changed the front film on my 32 inch Sony Bravia. It came out pretty good with some bubbles. Be careful with the little gold ribbons that run from the screen to the t- con board. I nicked a small piece of the gold ribbon and didn’t realize I did that. now 1/4 of the tv is black. It was disappointing after all the effort,the tv is worse than before. Be careful and patience is the key.
This was very useful to me to repair my damaged polerising fim of a 32 inch tv. As I feel it was quite difficult to remove the adhesive that was remained on the screen. It couldn't removed using glass cleaner . I had to scrap it with a razor blade with some care. Finally all the adhesive was cleaned. Then I applied the new polerising film satisfactorily. Now the tv is like brand new!!!.
Please take care to use correct polerising film for best results. There are different types of polerising films like 0,90 etc. Use the correct one to your application.

hi, thanks. i have 22inch SONY LCD. Which angle did you use for your TV. I asked SONY customer care they not saying the angle of the film suitable. the local service centre people not recommending the replacement.

Hi, will the monitor display normally if we remove the sticker-type black film behind the front LCD panel? My monitor's film has shaded and there is some kind of white ghost coating where this film has shaded out it's color.
what if you need to change the back polarizing filter as well? does that mean that If you use 90 degrees in the back then the front should be 0 degree?

Did the air bubbles eventually go away on it's own? I just applied the new polarizer film to my Sony Bravia and there are lots of air bubbles.

Hi, I have a Bravia TV with a small piece of the polarizer film torn off at the edge. It is probably due to a manufacturing fault (a piece was sticking out from under the bezel and got snagged on a cleaning cloth, but Sony refuses to fix or replace under guarantee. I still have torn-off piece. What glue would you recommend for sticking the torn piece back into place?

My tv had the same issue here. I changed the polerizer film. But after it, few greenlines are showing vertically in the center of tv. I asked about it, he said its unrepairable. Is it true or not ? Can i repair it?

Did you managed to remove the air bubble? Is it still work with the air trapped?
it will require a vacuum chamber at the size of the screen it will be very hard to have one

Amit Kurmoli Thank you🙏. The repair guys said it will cost 8000INR to repair this TV, actually he said he will be changing the LCD but i was able to fix it at 600INR plus Colin (glass cleaner cost)

In one other video they used a liquid and above that they fixed the polarizer. There were no bubbles. I think it's the same liquid that is used for Tempered glass mobile screen protection.

we have Sony Bravia 22Ex300 model. has same problem of the sheet got wrinkled. So, is this the problem with polarizer film only? i think is 21 inch TV. The repairer told, the screens now not available , you buy new TV. Otherwise the TV is working. Is this the solution the repairer told for this? I doubt so checking for a fix.
If the screen looks as I have shown in the video, I would recommend if you could try to fix it, if it failed then obviously you can go with the new TV.

@@TastyTechHarbour Thank you so much for the reply. Yes my screen top looks like what shown. wrinkled and also a bit acidic sinky smell also. Seen some other videos, there one person mentioned, it smells as well. So, i think the problem is polarizer film only. Otherwise, the TV working ok, Picture is coming but not clear as polarizer is off, audio is fine. So, 99% i am sure the problem is polarizer. The issue is, the repair guys say, the film not available. But i see it available online purchase. Now the question is which one that suits my TV, i snot sure. Can i purchase any polarizer filem and the technician can adjust the angle of the film to fix? I am not in town, else i could try myself.

my sonly lcd polarizer is defective how much it costs. one of the technican said it will be 5500 rupees in Hyderabad. what will be cost of polarizer and where can I get in Hyderabad.
I don't think it will cost 5500/- INR to replace the polarizer film. But if you dont have the confidence to replace it, I would recommend to give to professional.
