I spent a few months in Athens/Southern Greece last year and fell inlove with the place. If there was anywhere id love to live as an irishman it would be greece. I will be back
Go raibh mile maith agat, a Anthony!! Ta do scealta go iontach, agus ta me buioch. Taitnionn go mor liom na scealta na hEireann! --Naomi Seraphina (Sorry if my Irish is terrible. I'm an American of half-Irish descent, and am attempting to learn my ancestral language, but I still have a long way to go before achieving fluency. I love your work, and am grateful for everything you do!) Go n-eiri leat!
Fair play for doing this. Came across you this morning and I've listened to two shows so far. Will be tunning into more. I remember reading this story when I was younger. Brings back good memories :) Thanks again 👍
Just started watching this now 01:41 Saturday morning .. Sorry I missed the live broadcast . great to hear these stories , you really make it interesting with the explanation at intervals .. Thanks Anthony . Regards,
Thanks for these Antony. Really enjoyed hearing the old stories . Not speaking the language myself I always get frustrated reading the stories and legends because I struggle with pronunciation. Great job , it certainly took my mind of the news.🍀👍
What an awesome tale. So thankful to have such a friendly and passionate host providing context, meaning, translation, proper pronunciation and having a laugh here and there. On to episode 3!
"the Children of Tuireann". Although I do love Tolkien, he had a story called " the children of Turin" which can be bought now as a book... Wonder where he got so many of his ideas from????
I love the crossover with the greek mythology. I doubt Hera is pleased some irish men stole some of her apples, though I guess very few end up being pleased with the outcome of Tuireann's sons adventures.
All that's missing is the fire place! Oisín O Maolalaidh is ainm dom and I wish all good health and strength in the coming weeks and months!! ✌🙏🌈🐎🎼🍄☀️👊😊🇮🇪
@@mythicalireland point taken, perhaps a little cheesy! Depends what's in the pipe I guess! Keep it up though... it's a nice break from the cabin fever!! Slán
@@mythicalireland didnt think so but once you added the pipe I had a vision of a leprechaun by the fire with pipe and squint telling stories with a shillelagh leaning against the chair. Stick to your formula! 🧙🏻♂️
Greetings brother from the isle of Man, these stories are food for the soul. Love what you are doing, may Manannan bless you.
Greetings from Athens,Greece. Irish and Greeks have too many common roots. Thank you for all you show us.

I'm a great fan of Lugh and wanting to know all there is about him. Thank you Anthony for all of your hard work.
Going back and catching all the ones I missed. This is SUCH a beautiful story. I am blown away.
Thank you Anthony.
I'm fascinated by the mention of greece and Sicily in the stories.

That would be lovely - a nice open turf fire! I could also do with sucking on a pipe! :D
