I really really want to imagine that this guy just slipped back into his police job and the next crime scene he's sporting like 2 black eyes and miles of bruises and still has to play nice with "Mr. Knight" when he drops in to solve cases for the cops.
This comic is part of Warren Ellis’ run of Moon Knight and at this stage of life Marc Spector lost it all when it came to his support. Frenchie, Crawley, Marlene, his butler and maid. All he has is Khonshu and the psychiatrist which in a way shows that Khonshu won because he wanted to destroy Marc’s links to life outside of Moon Knight.
Pretty much. At this point in his life, all Moon Knight has is his duty and a handful of supporters that he keeps at arms length because he knows they'll die otherwise.
I really dig this tragic take on his character. He truly is an Antihero but it also shows how his mission put a strange on his relationships. I appreciate the honesty that comes with dealing with the superhero life.
Dynamics like this and Invincible's Powerplex are perfect examples of people wanting to be an exception in a world where people can fly and 'death' has an asterisk and/or a rack. I'm surprised more people don't turn out this way in a world of heroes. Everyone wants to be the protagonist of their life, it becomes disillusioning when you know it's impossible as you see your neighbor set themselves on fire and fly around.
True, I don't see many stories about common people *wanting* to become heroes or vigilantes just for stand out, writers seems to gave humanity only to heroes but not to the people they save.
A Average Guy that improved himself physically, broke himself mentally and equipped himself to take Moon Knight's place. Not good enough. He wasn't even worth the time to use any of his powers. That said, Black specter does have potential, just needs to polish his look and train more. Once again you made a solid rework man.
Marc had no power back then, in the comics Moon Knight spends most of his time without powers, every now and then Khonshu helps him giving him some power buff like in Age of Khonshu but that's just a temporary thing and not the status quo.

I love this story. This guy did all the hard work, learning spywork, training, even learned some very effective skills most of Moon knights adversary's could take several notes out of. But of course the difference between him and MoonKnight was ego. The police officer wasn't a sharp guy as after all who would take cover near a car bomb *he* had set up? Moon knight might be reckless and with a death wish, but he's sharp. The police officer had a habit of overlooking little things, a man who can't observe the small things can't ever be a big deal.
Warren Ellis has a really great run on Moon Knight. I like the detective feeling I get from this comic and I feel like he gets the character. Combine his run with great voice actors and you get a great video.

Ok Fam just when I thought I couldn't love Moon Knight anymore you dropped another classic comic dub. Each version of Knight is equally badass and powerful. But Mr. Knight has the most swag. Dude will beat your ass and won't get a speck of dirt on his threads. Moon Knight is the baddest comic book character currently. I love Jason Todd, Blade, Spawn, comic book Black Panther, Batman, Daredevil and Young Justice Aqualad but Moon Knight has so many layers to him. A great character finally getting a consistent storyline. Keep up the good work to you and your team.

- why oh why couldn't they make him awesome like this in the live action. I don't get why they went with making him into such an inept whiny prat constantly needing saving. Just watching 5 minutes of any of your Moon Knight work would of given them a better direction. I didn't get why everyone loved Steven in that show, its like being pathetic and meek has become heroic.
