These videos are fantastic. These are good reveiws to watch before a test. They're short, but informative and easy to understand. Which is super helpful to build off of all of the studying we have to do as nursing students.
I hope you guys can talk about the herbal remedies (Echinacea, Ginkgo biloba, Garlic, ginger, St john's wort) as these are tested on our college. what the common uses and what each one is
Thank you for the video! Can you please give an example of how you might preform a cultural assessment of a patient? Would you simply just ask the patient? Or is there a more therapeutic way to do this?
As an ER nurse, this is part of my triage process. I simply ask "are there any cultural or religious preferences we should be aware of that might impact your care?" Usually, patients just say "no," and we move on, but sometimes they'll tell me something like "I don't wish to have any blood products," and then I'm able to document it in their chart! --Meris :)

I clicked on this video and was watching to learn about CAM. I've got the med surge deck not the fundamentals, Since I was past fundamentals when I found this channel. I'm a bit disappointed that the only information I was seeking was withheld from this video. I've never encountered this before with any of Cathy's videos. I'm not sure if this is a new thing.
