Oh lord my journey startet in a quiet room in a loud party with green shirt guy in the back, never in my wildest dreams I would have thunk i would come to love a Bluegrass band this much! Please billy strings when this pandemic has ended come to Germany, I'm so jealous of all these people who got to be at this concert.
I play this song a couple times a day in the baitshop I work at. Customers seem to buy more fishing tackle when this is playing in the background. This is a real money maker right here fellas!😆

I saw him live, for the first time, last night in Manchester, England. I have seen some stars in my time but good grief! That was the greatest gig I have EVER heard in my life! Absolutely flawless! If you haven't seen him play live, boys and girls, correct that error ASAP! I missed my last train home, because Billy and the boys played right up to the curfew of 11:00pm. It cost me £90, just to get home. I winced, as you can imagine, but I'll never complain. This kid is not one of us; he's a force of nature; a movement unto himself!

Great Song Billy, I discovered you by coming across dust in the baggie a few months ago and I've been hooked every since, I'm 43 and after years of procrastinating I'm trying to learn to play the guitar, I went to a music store not far from me about a month ago to see about taking guitar lessons, I had a conversation with the guitar teacher and when he said he specialized in bluegrass I asked him what he thought of Billy Stings? He scoffed and said Billy Strings was a disgrace to bluegrass music, I immediately told him he was a close minded prick in a round about way and walked out, I don't need that kind of negativity in my life, what I need is more Billy Strings for inspiration, I know I'll never play the guitar like you but GOD DAMNIT I'M GONNA TRY LOL, THANKS FOR THE INSPIRATION BROTHER ✌️

EXPLORING NORTH GEORGIA Hey as a non musician who has learned to play guitar in my forties if you don’t want to take lessons try a video game called rocksmith 2014 it worked for me and the more I practice the better I get. I share your Billy story, I’ve been hooked since dust in a baggie and I’m not a bluegrass fan by any means. But he is the only person I’ve seen shred and acoustic 😂. He plays a mean electric too!

@@adamr9215 you're right, I should have really layed into him but there was also alot of children around and I was trying to hold my tongue, honestly I think the dude was kind of jealous of Billy, he also had some negative things to say about Steve Martin, Steve Martin is also a accomplished bluegrass musican on top of being a great comedian and he won a grammy for his music and when I mentioned him the dude said he wasn't a real musican lol and didn't deserve the grammy, maybe he's just a bitter old asshole who's pissed because he never made it as a musican and is stuck giving kids guitar lessons, my nephew is also interested in guitar lessons but I discouraged my sister from taking him to that guy, if he's hatin on Billy Strings then he obviously doesn't recognize genuis, I thought about going to their website and really reaming him out there, I still may do that lol
As a mandolin player never have I felt so inept. These guys are not mandolin, guitar, bass, or banjo players. They are A Mandolinist, a guitarists, a bassist, and a dude who rocks a banjo. ARTISTS!

I was at this show ! Almost by accident, travelling through checked the venues,, saw Billy Strings,, and went to you tube to see who he was ! WOW ! WHAT A GREAT SHOW AND TIME! INSTANTLY HOOKED ON BILLY AND BAND.

I'm sure the hidebound, fundamentalist, tradition-sodden, conservative flat-earth faction of the Bluegrass community is apoplectically gasping and clutching their collective pearls in horror, at what Billy Strings and his band have done to Bluegrass music. Which is, injecting this somewhat moribund American art form with a huge new dose of energy, vitality, creativity, and pedal-to-the-metal PASSION. All the over-churched flatfoots out there, either join the party and dance your butts off, or get the hell out of the way, because Billy and his Band are a force of Nature you just can't stop.
That's what it's founders did back in the day.and many more along the way,the issue is more politics than music.some people think it's suppose to be a right wing Christian music .even though it's full of murder ballads,and song about Prison,as well as gospel songs (and Billy does some of those gospel songs) there has been a resistance against the so called Hippie faction in bluegrass,guys that are big in bluegrass like Sam Bush Jerry Douglas,Tony Rice,David Grisman,all got the same for the music they made at first.
Actually seen the faces on Del McCoury and many of his generation smiling VERY broadly while playing with Billy and his band, lot of them get it that this is carrying the torch forward and then some.

Billy ever get up in Detroit Michigan area I live 8 miles from downtown Detroit I would like to see a show I go up to northern Michigan I got family up in traverse city
He is from Michigan. He lives down South now but he comes home frequently. Him and his Dad will be doing a bunch of shows here shortly and a couple in MI. He lived up Traverse way for bit it would not surprisde me if he does a show up that way. If you are interested I would get tickets now he WILL sell out.
