It’s actually pretty hilarious when you think about it, the origin of Gamma’s successful Art career in Rust all started because he got mugged by the local ‘Choosing Beggar’ of the server xD
She may be small but the impact she left on the server was huge.
Literally paid him in exposure and it worked.

@@dalgona4819 I think part of that is because the other illustrators are well established names in the industry. Though, that is not to say that Gamma is already well establish (outside of HoloPro), but under his current moniker, he has to build up again.

Ngl, I didn't really watch much of Gamma until the tempantsu arc. When I saw the elephant, I was like "any man that willingly reveals that kind of underwear is deserving of all the attention."
I see a lot of parallels between Uproar and HoloX.
On the surface, they're both just the latest JP generation of Holostars and Hololive, but the more you learn about each member, the more you realize how absolutely stacked they are, in terms of talent.
Makes a lot of sense, Cover and Holopro are so huge now, only the best will make it in.
Gamma never said it better. He didn't change anything about what he usually does, or how he usually acts, or how he usually streams. When he said that he realizes that his content wasn't a mistake, it made me really emotional. All that was presented to him was the opportunity (vsaikyo, rust) and he made it work. Astel was saying something today about how you can see how hardworking gamma is, off-stream or not. He said that he couldn't find another person better than Gamma to fit Qpi's team. All he needed was exposure and then the people who likes him will stay and support him. 2023 is definitely his year. Gamma ganbare!!!
Also, props to Astel for being such a great senpapi. He always jokes about holostars and what-not but the people that really care knows that he loves his peers and kouhais alot.

The interaction with Warabui is so surreal lol like something out of Twin Peaks. Gets run over, gets a job, then hops in his truck and they just drive away while shooting shit. What an encounter.
Gamma was amazing in this server. Despite there being established mangaka in server he got a lot of commissions and a lot of people liked em. Laplus GL mafia was only possible bcoz of Gamma's erotic illustration
Its not just the mangaka either. There were quite a few artists, such as Kagura Nana (Ayame's mama) and NachoNeko (Gura's mama).
I think it's exactly because there were professional artists/mangakas on the server, it gave such good contrast in favour for Ganma. Plus, I think a lot of the players were respecting the professional's time on the server, since many know that they are playing in order to relax and the last thing they need is to be reminded of their work deadlines.

really glad for my boi gamma, astel and roberu who grew so much from this rust server, axel and rio are growing too, but the 3 of the got the most of it, especially gamma, going from 400 viewer to 2k is amazing, now its started to decrease, but its still above 1k people on average watching his stream, so proud

I remember vsai ganchan's live viewers went 1-2K then in rust arc it actually peaked at 8K during the yuri art and 4-5K most of the time in his rust streams. Srsly glad ganchan and the bois r getting noticed (robe son tho got the consistent 2K even before rust)
Opportunities like these are priceless to getting your name out there and growing.
Just like what happened to Azki's GeoGuesser stream, where she got 20K live viewers. Now she got +1k/2k add to consistent viewers.

Man this was really fun to watch, I came here after Roberu's love letter arc and didn't it to be this fun. The talk at the end tho, I'm happy for him, I'm glad some of the girls don't pay much attention to you know what type of fans and just have fun with everyone, that really give Gamma a push this time.

I'm touched when he said that, probably also to himself, because it was a game yet he was busy drawings for scraps.
He was undercharged, and sometimes gave free, when other artists charged for 5000 scraps (or more?).
But it made him more well known fast, interacted with lots of well established people, and even earned more viewers.
He managed to appreciate those all. And everyone can see how hardworking, kind and funny he is.
So glad he joined VSaikyo & then this VR Rust game.

I really like this story arc in rust, it plays like a underdog story, Gan-chan when from a relative unknown to one of the most sort after artist on the server.
All the illustrator in this server are crazy cracked. Can't wait to see Gamma again next VCR season

I've always loved Gamma's illustrations and I totally get what Axel was saying about Gamma making the most of the opportunities that he gets. He's gotten so much exposure through VSaikyo and Rust, I'm so happy for him ^^

This was the perfect compilation, thank you for putting all of his commissions in one place together! Watched from beginning to end and it was absolutely wholesome seeing his final thoughts translated. Gamma's story arc was definitely a favorite for me from the Rust server. Felt like a story of the new kid working his way up to becoming one of the most liked on the server. Was so wholesome to see everyone cheering him on and discovering him.
Qpi's friends reaction and their group photo also legit made me well up with emotion. I hadn't seen any clips of that art work until watching this. The joy they felt seeing their friendship depicted through Gamma's art felt tangible even for the viewer. Excellent work and thank you again!

He's honestly always so energetic and positive, it's nice to see him sincerely having a heartfelt moment like this. I really hope that everyone was able to get some more exposure, make new connections and grow their audiences from this because they all really deserve it working as hard as they do.
It's started from vsaikyo, when dekani9 was created with qpi and runa. I feel from that point there's more ppl who's interested in him especially vspo listeners bcz his funny interaction with runa. It's just my bias assumption, that holo watcher is more focusing on astel, towa or laplus on vsai. Then right after vsaikyo ends, there's VCR. For me who watch previous streamer server, im never expecting that talents from holo gonna joining too. Then laplus join the server as the first holo member (if I'm not mistaken) then many other mem including gan chan. It brings smth fresh to the server.
Thx DOI san for inviting ganchan so there's still many illust created in the server despite aka sensei didn't doing commission.

That's really cool, I only knew of Hololive and EN Holostars, so this was a great window me to meet a lot the JP Holostars I never knew before. I hope to see more Gamma in interactions like this again.

This season was a really good balance of talents across various spectrums. I didn't think I would enjoy watching rust but this was really fun! Seeing so much great art really brought a lot of life into the what normally would be such a drab environment that Rust normally is. I hope they include more illustrators next season.
I got too caught up in the Romeo and Juliet arc, haha. Looking at all the JP clips, it would seem a lot of people did too.

I was one of those who discovered Gamma through Rust. I knew who he was but i didnt know he was so funny and talented
I enjoy that even though these interactions are cordial and pleasant, all participants almost universally still serpentine, duck, and bunny hop while occasionally flashing their weapons as if they expect murder to go down mid commission.

That last part of the video did make me tear a bit. It gave me nostalgia and reminded me when hololive was still new and members were getting less than 1k viewers. I'm really glad to discover Gamma and he definitely needs more recognition in the vtuber community!

take a look at gamma views in RUST streams. He pulled some hardcore numbers from his hard work. Dude deserve it so much everyone was playing while he was drawing.
When people play Rust as a means to set up a community of sorts, what makes the game feel really alive is when people like Gamma does things like this that makes it worth to grind/gamble for scrap. Voice pack and love letter meta counts as well. I remember when OTV had a Rust server, Boxbox made this whole gambler's den where it has different gambling games that he himself designed and set up. Made the server feel alive since people aren't just shooting around
