Because Carl Douglas loves to hear himself talk, and tries to use words he thinks will impress his audience.

This is the Kind of delay in the case asking questions that really have nothing more to say other than the time they came in and the time they left, nothing more. The prosecution is trying to get more out of the witness than need be.

Kenneth Charles isn’t it obvious they’re trying to establish a timeline? Without people testifying to when Nicole left, then when Ron left, it leaves doubt as to when either left, and it can help in establishing time of death by the stomach contents during autopsy. If you can pin down a time when the victim last ate, going by what is known about digestion, what is found in the stomach can establish a rough time of death.

pshhh... the camera man/operator for the trial sucked! compared to the preliminary trial's own. ah man, you can't see nothing! in terms of the evidences being displayed in court, the display board or the elmo. the camera is dead set on the witnesses majority of time.

Nicole Brown party of ten, but the dinner ticket says nine. Tia used the counting kids excuse, but I can only count nine anyway. Who was number ten? The nine were Lou Brown, Juditha Brown, Nicole Brown, Denise Brown, Dominique Brown, Nicole's kids Sydney and Justin, plus Dominique's son and Denise's son. That's five adults, four children. Nicole's sister Tanya wasn't at the recital or the dinner.
***Update: Rachel Berman, an eight year old girl who was a friend of Sydney's, was the tenth person. Rachel was going to spend the night at Nicole's condo, but plans changed and she was picked up by one of her parents.

Did they ever say who actually made the reservation? For 10? Maybe whomever called the restaurant anticipated OJ may be invited? I know I’ve added an extra person or two to a reservation before in case someone else should be invited or decide to come. Just a thought as I don’t know this part of the evidence.

    • @NeverGiddy

Kerrie Johnson - I read Denise Brown's civil trial deposition and she mentioned Rachel Berman was the tenth person. In the opening statement by the defense in the civil trial the lawyer mentioned Rachel and that her father picked her up, him spending about fifteen minutes talking to Nicole. He said Nicole didn't seem scared about anything. I don't think any of the Berman's testified though. Much like in the criminal trial, Johnny Cochran mentioned many witnesses in his opening remarks to the jury that that never testified; The same thing obviously happened in the civil trial as well.

As demonstrated by the most cynical demagoguery and all of the knock-on cases that draw from this legacy, the court system is as much a podium for the political activism of profiteers as it is a domain in which to seek something resembling justice.
