Congress must vote to impeach and remove Donald Trump.
This isn't a complicated vote. It's a matter of right or wrong.

We need media honesty and our high schools need a mandatory constitutional law class so all Americans understand our constitution and rights.
My school system requires US Government (honors or AP) for all students in order to graduate (I’m taking it right now). This standard should be implemented across the country

@@rjvasquez6385 Not all schools have this requirement. When I was a high school senior going on 30 years ago, US Government was a required class for graduation. It has since been dropped from the curriculum. My friend’s kids are currently in elementary school, but a quick glimpse at their future high school shows it’s not a part of the curriculum there, either, and I now live in a solidly blue state.

And for the first 2 and half centuries it worked as it was intended. Journalism USED to have more integrity than most occupations. Journalists would go to jail rather than give up their sources. Have you ever watched Faux News? I turned on a video from Fox once that if I didn't know it wasn't true, had it have been the first that I had heard about what they were talking about, I would have believed it. I don't remember what it was even about. I just remember being shocked how plausible it was. How true it sounded. How much sense the spin made.
They take a grain of truth and spin it into something that barely even resembles the what it originally was. This is how Hitler convinced his followers that 6 million people needed to die. Fox News has always been a right leaning network. But it wasn't always what it is now. They used to be more like CNN. They reported with far less bias. And actually reported news.
The problem is that Fox News has 2 departments. 1, entertainment. IE opinion host like Tucker Carlson and Fox and friends. 2, News. Wallace and until recently Shep Smith. The news department reports pretty much the same thing that the rest of the media is. But most fox viewers don't know any of this. They think Tucker and Sean Hannity are news reporters. It's done on purpose to mislead people.
That being said, I have been saying pretty much the same thing. That the difference between the Nazi's and Trump supporters is choice. The punishment for listening to the truth was death. Hitler provided every family with a radio to spew his propaganda. I'm just pointing out how the right wing propaganda machine has brainwashed Trumps base. They created this monster. Now it's coming back to bite them on the ass.

To me the problem is not exactly entertainment mixed with news ("infotainment" is it ?) Which, I think, can be useful and put interesting topics front and center of the public debate, using humor or comedy to reach new audiences.
My real problem is with the economic model of the medias. When your revenue primarily comes from advertisement or when you're beholden to a singular billionaire or corporation. I only know Bloomberg and the WaPo/Bezos in the case of the USA but it applies to the Murdoch empire elsewhere in Australia and other countries, also in my country, France, where 9 billionaires own most of the press (billionaires like Niels, Pigasse, Bolloré, Arnaud, Bouygues...)
That's why we need to contribute to the medias - either owning them, or paying our fair share, all the more if they abandon corporate money as their primary source of revenue.

There's a difference between what something is SUPPOSED to do and what something actually DOES!
Take the impeachment process for instance. Your own family would NOT be allowed in a jury if you were the defendant, correct? This would be an obvious conflict of interest.
So why is the president's political party allowed to judge his impeachable offenses in the Senate? Obviously, they are going to vote in the President's favor every time. History has shown this.

"Alexandria!" lied to you. She wasn't even in the building that was breached. Instead, she was in her office in the Cannon Office building. She has since recanted the description of her "harrowing" experience. We've also learned the only person to be factually proven to loose their life directly due to the violent event is the young woman, Ashley Babbitt, shot by a plain clothed capital police officer. Brian Sicknick, the capital officer who died, was not rushed to the hospital immediately during or following these events. He txt'd his brother hours later telling him he was fine. There has been no evidence (only rumor) provided that he was beaten with a fire extinguisher, no evidence that he had a blunt force TBI. This info has been available to the public almost immediately following the event but it was suppressed by the media and others. So, lets have a real discussion about the truth.

I have lived in the UK my whole life and have never seen a politician come to district areas and discuss what they can do to help people. I feel that they concentrate on large cities and wider issues. There is no discussion on the average person. All they are concerned about is to keep there place in Parliament knowing that they are getting paid more than a working class individual will earn in 5 years.

As someone who used to work downtown, I can only imagine what areas surrounding the White House and the Capitol building look like.

What an amazing, brave, speaking truth to power young woman you are. I have a bit of that fierceness myself and it always makes me so proud when I see it in action. As a Black woman, I too have watched through the Trump nightmare presidency, the emboldening of white supremacists and white nationalists, as well as the "surprise" of White American citizens who "didn't understand until now," or who, "just thought that racism was exaggerated." I've listened to shocked and saddened people say, "This isn't who we are as Americans!" My immediate response back is, "It is EXACTLY who America is and has always been for a lot of us!" Watching that insurrection happen in real time was devastating. The one thing I took solace in was seeing that there were no Congressmen and women in the halls and chambers as they were being overrun. I MISTAKENLY believed you had all been successfully taken to somewhere safe within the Capitol, impervious to being found or harmed by the crazed mob. Hearing your accounting to Rachel Maddow of just how unsafe you all were, and how close you all came to being harmed or murdered, it pierced my soul! And not being able to feel safe in a safe room because some of your Republican counterparts would've likely given away your location... I. Cannot. EVEN!! It is terrifying. There will never be election cycles where one party rules (unless we are taken over by force). So what this means is, whether it's the presidency, House, or Senate, Republicans will be in control again at some point. With their full-on embrace of white supremacy, it will be devastating when they are in power at any point in the future. The hope and light that I do see is, people have begun to understand the power of their vote. I am SO encouraged by the Herculean efforts of people like Stacy Abrams and others inspiring and actively working to get people registered to vote. I want to cry in sheer happiness when I see people defiantly standing in line for hours to demand their vote be heard, cast, and counted. I look forward to the day that WE THE PEOPLE, with our multi-racial, multi-ethnic, multicultural selves become the combined majority and our votes finally overwhelm to the point that anyone who dares run for office will know the moment they play to a white supremacist, white nationalist crowd, it's the absolute nail in their political coffins. As a former captain in the Army and then a police officer, all I can say is there are more people that take those careers to make lives better than the ones that want power.
