Ballerina anniversary - BBC London News

She's the little girl who dreamed of becoming a ballerina, only to leave home in Argentina to come to London to make it come true. Now Marianela Nuñez is celebrating 20 years at the Royal Ballet in Covent Garden. She tells reporter Wendy Hurrell about why she loves the capital.

Every time she goes to Argentina, besides her performances in the Colón theatre, she dances in a gala in her hometown, SAN Martín, in Buenos Aires province, to benefit children of the surroundings. This performance is attended by an audience of more than eight thousand persons.

They’re coming to LA in July 2019, doing Mayerling at Dorothy Chandler Pavilion downtown. Also, Marianela guest starred with La Scala in Giselle in Costa Mesa w/Roberto Bolle last year. Which was heavenly!
