Agar symptoms hai then u can start with the eltroxin tablet of 12.5 ug ,,, (minimum possible dose) in the morning in empty stomach for 2 months and recheck TSH after 6 wks... After consulting with your doctor.....
Sir dose decide ko lekar issue hai 1.kaise calculate kare kinta mg dose dena hoga 2.agar lene ke baad repeat me test normal aate hai toh dose kaise hoga . 3.few endocrinologist high se low taper karte hai ..and few low to high dose
Kaisa bhi dose dijiye (low to high or high to low) and repeat test me agar normal aata hai tsh means jo dose aap diye dat is appropriate and wahi continue chalega
Dose will be decided according to tsh report...agar normal then continue same dose,,,agar range se zyada then increase the dose ,agar range se kam then decrease the dose

Sir Mera recently early miscarriage hua h..doctor ne reports dekhke kha ki Mera tsh 4.5 h Jo normal body k liye Shi h but pregnancy plan krne k liye mjhe thyroxin 12.5 msg prescribe Kiya h..agr mjhe next 6 month k liye pregnancy plan krna h to kya mjhe medicines start krna chayiye?
Ys it's better to start the medicine and continue... repeat TSH report Every 3 monthly interval and get the dose adjusted by your doctor account to the recent TSH report.....
If total thyroid tissue is removed in operation like total thyroidectomy,, then natural thyroxine will not be produced,,,so you have to take artificial thyroid hormone in the form of tablets.... like eltroxin or thyronorm,, and DOSE will depend upon your TSH level....did u understood.....????
sir mera report hai t3-1.08 t4-10.4 aur tsh-4.61 aur doctor ne bola ki tsh 5 ke aas pas hai to muze tyroxin sodiun ip 25 mcg ki goli lene ko boli hai kay ye sahi hai aur dusare doctor ne bola ki mat lo mai kya karu sir plz bataiye.

Better wait and watch and repeat the test after 3 months again if you don't have any symptoms......
You can get anti tpo antibody test,if normal don't need any thing......

Better u don't t take ,,, repeat blood test after 4 months and then decide at that time....
In case of pregnant female, she must take thyroxine sodium if she has same report as yours....bt u don't need it
