This is *one hawt video* I am dropping today! And thankfully, I was able to upload it on time (11:40 p.m., EST). Hah. The two-day upload schedule continues, so see you all on the 26th! P.s. keep on grinding and slaying out there!
This is the first of your videos that I have ever seen. Absolutely hilarious and perfectly informative. You got yourself another subscriber right here. Thanks for your efforts dude!
I'm glad i discovered this channel the intro takes some getting used to but the positivity that epf gives off is infectious. Also the appreciation for each fish even eels is awesome
right in my neighborhood Leo!... I got an alert on Facebook you were near, but had other plans, otherwise I would have come to say hello... I'm off for the summer, and will definitely be using shrimp and night crawlers, following your lead. As always, thanks for setting the bar...
Shrimp! That's what I needed. I was out same morning at Black Rock on Schuylkill using crawlers, cut bait and chicken livers. Didn't even get a bite while ur killin em down the City on shrimp. Great video. I enjoy watching local guys!
I'm gaining a serious appreciation for eels lately. Here is a fish that is perfectly evolved for extreme migration throughout its very long lifespan. It can go through any obstacle - uniquely shaped like a snake for a reason!
Leo, use burlap or a Scotchbrite pad to hold eels. Burlap is cheaper and works just as well. Love your exuberance and good cheer. Yours is the best fishing channel.
Leo, we all know how finicky fishing can be. This schuylkill river test would have been interesting if you baited night crawlers along side the shrimp. Great stuff regardless👍
Love the video with your parents. Lost my dad to a stroke, head up. Saying prayers for you guys and I am sure your dad will be good for a while, love the vids bro. Keep up the good work. Peace,
Nightcrawlers can and will catch everything. Always felt they were the best bait for numbers of fish no matter the size until I started fishing with gulp minnows. I have out fished Nightcrawlers with gulp minnows before. Definately a go to
How did you learn the scientific names? Did you go to college? Do you have a day job? I enjoy your enthusiasm and every time I see a new video it puts a smile on my face.
Great video! I used to catch a shitload of those eels in the Delaware river as a kid back in the 70's when I lived in Morrisville. I think it's funny that you are afraid to touch them. I never fished in the river without some towels for just that reason.
leo! I’m in philly rn, and I fished the schuk for flatheads and I stuck out two days in a row. any tips? I used trout heads one day, and bunker the next.
Hey Leo, If you are looking for a good portable fishing net I would recommend the bass pro gold series folding landing net. I have the 20 dollar one and it works perfect for all species. And it folded up nicely.
Watched this video today, went out and bought some raw frozen shrimp and had loads of fun (only had 90min to fish though). 6lb6oz catfish from my lake (2.5 pounder as well, a yellow perch, and various sunfish).
I used to use chunks of buffalo tongue for channel cats in the Niobrara River in Nebraska. Kind of hard to come by for most folks, but I had plenty. I liked it because between the current and all the small fry it was impossible to keep anything softer on the hook. The buff tongue was like a piece of rubber tire. You could get your knife shaving sharp and it was still a struggle to cut up.
I bought a cheap garbage ultralight setup from wal-mart to try it out (was like 18$ and it feels like 18$ too) and was wanting to buy a new one. Do you think the 500 reels are "too small" for ultralight? I've seen some people say to get 1000 over 500 because you get longer/smoother casts with less line curling due to memory and stuff etc... Some of the 1000 reels can handle like 200+ yards of 4lb test and that seems like a ton of extra line so I was looking at the 500's that hold between 100/150 yards. Thanks in advance.
Best thing about shrimp is you can catch many species in fresh water as well as salt water with it. It's a worldwide bait as well - I could go fishing offshore all the way in Australia and catch fish on a shrimp. Best bait on the planet for sure.
After a morning of catching Whiting at the beach on shrimp, I sometimes drop by a pond on the way back and the bluegill LOVE em! One right after the other just as fast as you can cast. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the micros like shrimp as well. Only one way to find out, right?
Hey leo im 13 on staten island ny what would be a good mid range saltwater surf caster for stripers bluefish and fluke let me know because i know nothing about saltwater fishing but i know quite a bit about fresh water
Mooney’s Outdoors I would suggest a 10 foot penn battalion , and a tsunami shield 6000 . The setup costs about 200$. Thats a good mid range setup I’d suggest! Good luck!
Hey Philly, me and my cousin were fishing and we saw like a 4 and a half foot eel and thought it might have been world record, sadly we couldn't catch it
Maybe one of these times fishing this river you can do a side by side bait challenge with bluegills as bait vs nightcrawlers vs shrimp? I'd like to see what come up.
Raw and pre-cooked Cocktail Shrimp is a great bait. Caught carp and flathead on it last weekend. its $5-10 per bag for medium sized shrimp but seems like Raw Shrimp works a bit better than the cooked stuff. Spam is another great catfish or carp bait and its oily so it makes the fish finding the bait much easier. its a bit harder to keep on hook(just like hotdog) but its a very good bait to use specially if you are after Channel Cat.
Low tide high walls lol jump fish. Even using a smelt or minnow square net they flop out or they barbed fins get hooked up. No worries leo its ok man. Ive got a river here full of nice channels and an old non used shipping canal full of eels. We cant target them here but they show up mid day. Night its nothing but so sundown the anglers all march out lol
Leo my Asian persuasion brother from another mother, please try using clam snouts they work on all sorts of fish. I have personally caught catfish, white perch, blue gill, yellow perch, rock fish aka hybrid bass, and sun fish on clam snout. Fishing in Maryland
I know you've already done a kastmaster video in the past, but that's my go-to lure now. The fish I've caught using that this year have outnumbered what I've landed on all my other lures 4:1
Alright *EPF* you want a challenge and a multispeices bait, I know a few for you to try out. *Thumbs this up so he can see it* 1. Ivory Soap( Check local laws in some parts it's illegal to fish with it.) 2.Spam/potted meat.(you'll have to have a bait hold/retainer) 3. Marshmallows (small ones but the big ones work too.) 4.Mole Crickets( Maybe hard to find in your area, but a true multispeices bait) 5th and the best for multispeices Hickory smoked bacon! (The oil the bacon gives off might as well be a big eat me sign for fish)
This is *one hawt video* I am dropping today! And thankfully, I was able to upload it on time (11:40 p.m., EST). Hah.
The two-day upload schedule continues, so see you all on the 26th!

Another great video Leo! Keep up the great/dedicated work. Very helpful and entertaining
Good to see those eels Leo, The very similar European eel is not doing well at all these days. . Thanks for the catch and release!
You should do a review of senko skipper super salty squid
right in my neighborhood Leo!... I got an alert on Facebook you were near, but had other plans, otherwise I would have come to say hello... I'm off for the summer, and will definitely be using shrimp and night crawlers, following your lead. As always, thanks for setting the bar...
Hey man I am a big fan nice catch 🎣🎣
My favorite fishing channel and my favorite host
All i ever catch with shrimp is bullhead. Worms are a much more versatile bait. Either worms or corn.
Shrimp! That's what I needed. I was out same morning at Black Rock on Schuylkill using crawlers, cut bait and chicken livers. Didn't even get a bite while ur killin em down the City on shrimp. Great video. I enjoy watching local guys!
Do you practice the intro at home? Great video
Awesome video dude, keep up the great vids!
Great video here. Keep it up. Quick question whats the best spot for blues and flounder near the AC cape may area?
Hey what's up Leo! Can you give us an update on the shao lin hook set Master aka Papa E.P.F.
I'm gaining a serious appreciation for eels lately. Here is a fish that is perfectly evolved for extreme migration throughout its very long lifespan. It can go through any obstacle - uniquely shaped like a snake for a reason!

Good stuff. I was just in Philly, should've busted out my two piece on the river.
This is dope Fishing content! Keep it up👍🏻
Love your vids keep up the work
Nice vid Leo. Mind the eels though, they can give quite a nasty bite!
my man is using a $250 reel to catch catfish. I'm envious, Great content as always Leo!
man thanks for another great video :D i love when you catch those eels :D makes my day
Leo, we all know how finicky fishing can be. This schuylkill river test would have been interesting if you baited night crawlers along side the shrimp. Great stuff regardless👍
I'm so happy when I watch your videos! :) Best youtuber.
Lol. My work is in the background. Im one of the carpenters renovating chestnut st apartments
Love the video with your parents. Lost my dad to a stroke, head up. Saying prayers for you guys and I am sure your dad will be good for a while, love the vids bro. Keep up the good work. Peace,

Man leo you have good timing! I went to take by nightly shower and boom new video! Thanks! 👍
Great video! I used to catch a shitload of those eels in the Delaware river as a kid back in the 70's when I lived in Morrisville. I think it's funny that you are afraid to touch them. I never fished in the river without some towels for just that reason.
Never caught an eel, and honestly.....glad I have not 😂😂😂 great video, always look forward to your fishing, thanks!!
I agree with shrimp being universal. They work both freshwater and saltwater and everything in between. Also ice fishing.
That was my brother at the 7 min mark. Love the channel EPF👍 Tight lines!
leo! I’m in philly rn, and I fished the schuk for flatheads and I stuck out two days in a row. any tips?
I used trout heads one day, and bunker the next.
Try fishing for them in the end of summer and early fall. Works for the Delaware River in my area. Schuylkill may be the same?
Alex Gaudelli if you’re going for flatheads use live bait
Fresh sunfish cut in half generally work in the fall but yeah a live sunfish works too. Easiest bait to get too
You have the best intro out of all the other fishing chanels lmao

What knot do you use to tie your high low rigs? Mine keep breaking off at the knot on the main line, am wondering if it's how I am tying my loops...
What are those rod holders in the dirt? Look very handy!
Great vid as usual! Try marinating the shrimp in garlic and salt in the fridge. That seems to get me more bites from other fish as well.
Best thing about shrimp is you can catch many species in fresh water as well as salt water with it. It's a worldwide bait as well - I could go fishing offshore all the way in Australia and catch fish on a shrimp. Best bait on the planet for sure.
i laughed at that eel toss. that thing got some hangtime lmao
I love you Brother! Thank you for sharing! Jesus bless you and yours!
Red maggots are the top bait here in the UK Leo, they catch any freshwater fish that swims!!
After a morning of catching Whiting at the beach on shrimp, I sometimes drop by a pond on the way back and the bluegill LOVE em! One right after the other just as fast as you can cast. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the micros like shrimp as well. Only one way to find out, right?
When he says "Hey! Whats up TH-cam! That just makes my day. Leo, can you do more saltwater videos?
I always have to reply with "What's up Leo!!!" Anyone else? Lol
He says what’s up youtuu
lots of fun, but didn't we do this exact video a couple of years ago at the exact same location?
Dude I'm looking for your video when I come and fished with you :) I was a English guy who met u at he train station!
You don't pet your catfish on the head? They love it! 😆
Leo you inspired me to start my own channel! Keep it up!

Puresavage29 thanks man that sounds good
Great video like always keep up the great work !
Ps : Can you give a honest review on the salty squid that senko skipper sells ?
Great video leo!
Nice! I may bring shrimp and bunker next time!
I have never hooked an eel. How do you tell whether or not an eel species is safe to handle?
Has my favorite intro
Hey Philly, me and my cousin were fishing and we saw like a 4 and a half foot eel and thought it might have been world record, sadly we couldn't catch it
I caught a 3.5 to 4 lb channel as this was uploaded! Tasty dinner for the wife! Caught a pair of 8” Wipers too!
Daaaamnn Leo! What happens if you hook a giant? I mean how would you land it?
Bud Howell Somehow I just read this comment as I was wondering about the same thing
Those eels are some of the best catfish bait you can use!
Is that brackish water your fishing?
Nice river cat action Leo!
Leo, a 40 lbs catfish was caught there a few days ago along Kelly drive.
Honestly if caught the eel you should of reset the eel as bait. Good for striped bass.
dang, they were keeping you busy... always a fun day like that... 😎
I use to make a dough bait with tuna for catfish..i haven't tried in yrs though
Maybe one of these times fishing this river you can do a side by side bait challenge with bluegills as bait vs nightcrawlers vs shrimp? I'd like to see what come up.
I like how you talk. Dont change man.
Those dang eels are thriving in that pollution 🤣
Always take cocktail sauce with you in case they are not biting.
Hey Leo. Love your videos bro! You should try and use chicken liver. See what you can catch. Good luck and I am waiting for another carp video.
Can you use bread? I’ve definitely caught a lot of species on bread
Nice fish and everything loves shrimp
Those are some pretty channel cats Leo!
Raw and pre-cooked Cocktail Shrimp is a great bait. Great session. Mussel works good for multi-species.

Great vid keep it up
I know you've already done a kastmaster video in the past, but that's my go-to lure now. The fish I've caught using that this year have outnumbered what I've landed on all my other lures 4:1
Fun video. You should have used worms on one rod and shrimp on the other to get a good comparison.
My dad caught a 5lb or so American eel over a decade ago in Penobscot Maine, my grandfather immediately cut the line cause he hates handling eels
I use shrimp all the time for cats. They go for it everywhere I've tried.
Try using a cast net Leo
Alright *EPF* you want a challenge and a multispeices bait, I know a few for you to try out. *Thumbs this up so he can see it*
1. Ivory Soap( Check local laws in some parts it's illegal to fish with it.)
2.Spam/potted meat.(you'll have to have a bait hold/retainer)
3. Marshmallows (small ones but the big ones work too.)
4.Mole Crickets( Maybe hard to find in your area, but a true multispeices bait)
5th and the best for multispeices
Hickory smoked bacon! (The oil the bacon gives off might as well be a big eat me sign for fish)
You should do some drum fishing on folly beach, sc
I caught a little 1.5lb bullhead yesterday from the bottom of a water fall on a trout magnet!
Took me by surprise
Is this shrimp grocery store or tackle shop? Worked pretty good. Great action EPF!!!
I’m in PA and usually you just grab them at the grocery store.
