    Asslamu alaikum sir whatever you calculated psi in elite software for standpipe , is it final head for pump, we do not need to add static pressure in residual pressure, you know why am i asking because, you had calculated hydaulic calculation in excel sheet, in that sheet you explained that we have to add friction and residual pressure and static presdure for total head if i have to find out total head ,so my question is that, we have to add static pressure with residual pressure or not, whatever i got residual pressure through the elite program?

    Velocity limit in pipe as per my understanding is 3 m/ sec but I think in this case it is around 6 m/sec. Do we have to consider flow speed in designing the system diagram of fire suppression system or not ?

      There is no maximum requirement in NFPA 13 or in building codes for hydraulic calculations. However, NFPA handbooks tell you to use velocities between 10-20 ft/s.

      Nodes consider for discharge point like sprinklers or landing valves etc, nodes consider for tee connection in pipes, nodes consider in elevation change.

    AA Tanweer Sb, In your video you added 250 gpm * 3 = 750 gpm in your software. In NFPA-14 it only mentions that the most remote hose connections needs to have 250 gpm. So why didnt you design for only 250 gpm at most remote location? Instead you added 3 hose connections.

    I have a quick question, I want to do hydraulic calculation for a prestigious tunnel, but the remote portion has a single pillar hydrant. Now my question is how much flow should I considered at this node?
    And how much pressure will need as per nfpa standards please help me?

      Start capacitors briefly increase motor starting torque and allow a motor to be cycled on and off rapidly in single phase but three phase don't required starting capacitor due to other phases.
      For example:
      Single Phase: you need assistant for any work if you don't do quickly and progressively.
      Three phase: you are three persons and you don't assistant for any work because you can do quickly and progressively.
