I wish they would move the rabbits back to the coop. It feels silly just having two “different” animals that live there.
I wish! It's odd that they moved them to the barn. I feel like they would just get stomped by the cows & buffalos. 😆
@Robert Quinn yes, but in literally the last installment of the game (Friends of Mineral Town) the rabbits were in a coop.
I always forget things so its nice to have this video as a guide to come back to. I wish they brought over the fruit and strawberry cow from fomt.
The yellow and orange faces will also mean that you can pet them twice in one day.

With the Brown Alpaca, I saw it in Area 3 in spring in my first year since I unlocked it early but I couldn't tame it cause my level wasn't high enough and it only shows up in spring so I had to wait for year 2 :3

I got into Autumn today! And i found a bunny, 2 goats, and the brown cow. I still need the bison tho. And pink bunny
The part where you experiment not feeding is kind of funny, poor cows lol
Didn't realise there is black cow. I'm missing the pink rabbit so funny to see them hope on 2 feets. Baby animals are exceptionally cute. I have to move second barn as there is traffic jam when I call them to graze. I advise you to save wools+ and furs+ as some fashion items requires them such as cossack hat.
How to get em to graze??

Yes that's in my to-do list definitely!
NOTE: the buffalo did not spawn for me (and for others from what I've queried) until at a certain time of the day (a little after 4 based on user forum discussions) and weather conditions (snowy). So if the animals you're trying to tame is being too sneaky for your preferences, try different times of the day and/or different weather conditions.
Hey Josh, I want to say thank you for your SoS videos because you made it looks really enjoyable. Someone near me just said this game is bad and not worth it but I actually love it so much :(
A lot of people are not happy with this game, but if YOU are that's the most important. ☺️💛 I'm really enjoying it so far even after 100 hours!

I recently just started playing the game. I was worried because some people said that it wasn't good but I really liked so much! I came across your videos because I was looking crops and animal care! I enjoy playing it, but i kinda have love and hate relationship with this game, this game simple but also complex in someway, but the thing that i most hate is how long the maker proses and it take time to cook, the thing that i liked it kinda between stardew valley and classic HM/SOS game, it offer more than usual HM game but not too much like stardew valley that become overwhelming

May I suggest stabilizing the in-game camera when you use it to create content like this? Constantly moving the camera makes me dizzy and nauseous 😣 other than that thanks for the helpful information! I was getting confused with the breeding system..

Okay, so, just keep one regular barn and place it in a secluded corner of your farm. Next move the animals you want to get rid of to it, and then pack the barn away. Ignore them for a couple of days and you'll be able to get rid of them without the chief Sprite judging you.
@ cutest cow I think the black cow is the cutest :D but it looks quite similar to the buffalo which makes me a bit sad, so I might stick with my second favorite which is the brown cow. I haven't even started breeding my cows yet though (and I want to breed so many alpine goats when I get them, I absolutely love the alpine goats, def the cutest livestock imo) so who knows! maybe I'll still have generation 1 cows by the time I have animal care level 9 haha.

Oh wow I didn't even know about the paths and fodder patches thing! (That the animals try to avoid it)
I thought it was a good solution to avoid the growing trees, and puddles (like you said) but I guess not 😩 no wonder they spawn next to the barn. Honestly, who thought this was a smart idea to apply to the animals 😂

16:35 tell that to my goats, chickens, and sheep, they love hopping into my mini fodder pasture lol. They hate spawning on paths and fodder but will gladly run into the fodder after spawning (but not paths), at least that's what I've noticed

I’m so sad the animals don’t eat from the troughs at all...... it’s the little things like that, and not needing to grow fodder/having to avoid it because they can’t walk thru it, that really make me realize how much heart is missing from this game.... 😢

Really amazing video! I always admire someone who puts so much time and effort into a video 😁 The one thing I was wondering, do you know if animals lose happiness and stuff if you leave them outside in the winter with snow/sun? It's always varied in past games 🤔
Thank you! Winter works the same as other seasons in this game. Snow is like rain, so you won't be able to take your animals outside, if it's sunny you're all good!

hey josh! so i'm enjoying pioneers of olive town so much and i enjoy your videos so much! but i was wondering, do your farm animals die after a certain year? or do they live on? i was also hoping the MC won't die after i eventually reach 100 in game years lol, because that would seem like such a waste and i would feel so upset :(
I can't wait for a list of the personalities to be put out there so you what to keep from the first Gen animals.
But it is worth it to just get rid of your animals bcs of the stars? Like, the money is good? And do I get something from a 10 star livestock? Like, some achievement, or do I need them to cook higher level recipes (rainbow ones)?
Time goes too fast in a lot a SOS games, that's why I like FOMT. 15 minutes per day is still a lot but still.
I'm a little disappointed that silkie chickens are just re-colored chickens in this game. Any of you reading this, do yourself a favor and look up what a real-life silkie looks like. You won't regret it.
I don’t know why but in every SoS game animal is always a lackluster in terms of revenue:time ratio and I always hate to have them. But they are always needed in cooking etc and I don’t want to get rid of them once I have them...

Thank you! The only way to get rid of animals is by going to the sprite village and releasing them. You cannot sell them.

can livestock exceed 7th generation? 15th
Strange, i have 4th generation cow but still give 4 star milk. According to my calculation it should be 6 star. Happiness & relationship max of course
kinda wonder... how much the selling price of lv 10 milk? and which milk the more expensive?
for late game does having 190 animal (all milk producer... 10 is all other fur animal slot) give lots of money that can compared with honey/mushroom making... (since they give produce every day instead of x days like mushroom and honey).
the easiest money making currently in my farm is mushroom farming because it's easy... plant the mushroom in 20 log... harvest in 4 days... and convert 20 of the harvest to seed... but limited to 20 logs...
the second is honey making... but it takes time to grow the flower... harvest it... put it in beehive... (i usually just sell the hives) (limited to 20 beehives) and just sometimes convert to honey (take too more times so i skip it).
I love the animals they've put in, but you sure don't know because they're stuff from the game' date, you know if they're going to put the pink and orange cows back on?
I don't think they're planning to add other animals... We'll have new areas and characters with the DLC, but I highly doubt it for extra animals. I miss the strawberry and fruit cows too!
Hi Josh. How do you unlock the slots in the small barn. The slots are still locked. I have to big barn already but my little barn slots are are still locked

I am not sure why but I encountered brown alpaca since my 1st year spring in area 2. I could not tame it anyway because my skill was only level 2 at that time.

So Buffalo milk should go in the cheese maker & goat milk should go in the butter maker right? What about the yogurt maker?
Nothing special for the yogurt maker, so I just use the cow milk! It'll just give you 1 yogurt per milk.

I was only able to see the monkeys once (they were in group, really easy to spot!) During my first summer. I'm on year 3 now and never seen them since. 😢

I managed to find buffalo in my area 2 on winter year 1 but i have no extra space in barn. So i went upgrade my barn 1st. But next day i come back to area 2, buffalo no longer there. How to find the buffalo again? ☹️

No there's no way to get them back. 😣 The lost and found is only for items you can only get once in the game.

As much as I love this game, I feel like the animals are kind of useless lol. I'm trying to get the hang of this game but there aren't many guides available sadly, thank you so much for doing these videos it helps a lot! I feel like I'm not making as much money as I like and I feel with this game it's so much harder to make money and that you spend so much money plus God the amount of makers you need is so ugly lol plus it takes so long to make certain stuff and it's actually quite annoying. Also do we use the stone for anything cuz im surprised we don't use the stone for anything which is annoying because you have to use all these materials that take time to get an make and yet you don't use stone for any of the buildings??? I love the game though and I'm enjoying it.
As far as I know, the stone is just used as a crafting material. I like to use it to make stone chests (as wood is used for so many other things). The stone fence and path look quite nice too.
There is one town request that asks for 999 stone alongside two other items. I has that much and went with stone rather than use lumber.
Where do you get the brush at?
My parents saw the cows and said they looked more like hippos... Given the proportions, I'm inclined to agree.

Yes it's really small. :( There is no way to make it bigger (or to have an extra one).

I couldn’t get the Buffalo either, I had to clear my area 2 out and even then he didn’t appear until around 5pm- 7pm at night! (It was also a sunny day) Hope this helps
Does processing the wool actually make you money? It seems like it takes 4 wool to make one bolt of cloth, so there is basically no profit for processing.
You only need 2 wool for one cloth! 1 wool transforms into one yarn and you just need 2 yarns for one cloth!

What is the best way to improve your Animal Care level?
Make sure to pet all of them everyday, and if they have the smiley face or brush bubble above them, do that as well! It should raise quite quickly as you get more animals.

No, that lost things the chef sprite can give you back are unique items that you can only get once, for example Jack's snow globe or Linh's bouquet.

Thank you! You mean the olive crystal, right? You can get them in the puddles in the third area of your farm! They're quite rare though.
How do I level up my animal care quickly. I've been stuck on 8 forever
Just make sure you pet all of them everyday, and pet them every time they have a bubble as well! It's slow but you'll get there eventually!
I never liked the bunnies... they creeped me out. And the sound they make is so odd... they are the only non cute thing in game for me. But that is just my view.
I think I've seen quite a few people mentioning they didn't like the bunnies and their sound. 😅 You're not the only one!

Nothing happens, but the items won't accumulate (you won't get 2 milk by waiting 2 days). Sometimes I'm too busy and don't take the products for a few days. 😅
