on the 2nd of July 1907 from Munich to Augsburg in a test run hauling a train of four express 9passenger cars, the S 2/6 reached a speed of 154.5 km/h (96 mph), this was the German record which lasted for 29 years until broken by the superb World Record run from engine 05 002
