Very nice. You must live in a different part of the world, we have strict overall length laws in UK and they also do in Europe. Which is why we have few bonneted vehicles and multi trailer roadtrains, as much space as possible is given to payload. In UK we tend to go up as we can’t go longer, meaning many companies have double deck trailers. These are mainly used on motorways or specific routes, the overall height being around 5 meters or 16” 4’. Bridge heights, unless otherwise specified are 5.6 metres or 16”6’ approximately but not lower. 😁
youre not the only one having troubles sometimes , i am very very sure of thatwith a larger ammount of space to get on a bay, many of us wil recognize that whit a smile.

Thank you. This as per most fruit/veg/salad loads has come through an agent so I’m sorry but I don’t know the answers to your questions. They usually are in contact with selling cooperatives. Delivery could be anywhere in UK.
When backing onto a dock, some days you can't do a thing wrong and other days you can't do a thing right. But at the end if the day if you haven't knocked a wall down or ripped the side out of a trailer, you have done alright.
You mentioned before about showing us your new or different cab/tractor unit. Have I missed that episode? Also you said it was a V8, does that help getting through the Pyrenees or is there not much advantage over a straight six? I wonder if the food stuffs are perhaps lighter than other loads, is the V8 not as desirable through mountain passes?
The V8 is a great engine. The pulling power with it is 2nd to non, in my opinion, together with a 5 stage retarder (intarder to some) insures a totally smooth ride up and down the other side 😁

I'm new to this and drive mainly R450s which seem to have two stage ones, unless I'm using it wrong of course - eek! I'm based in Cornwall and until about Exeter the landscape is a little lumpy. I get slow on the climbs and even put my hazards on at times, hence the interest in your cab - cheers.

Yep all good thanks. Uses more fuel than the S series Scania’s but then it’s older. It sings along nicely though. 😁
