Hi Mark, first of all thanks for watching and commenting on my video. I am so pleased that it brought back memories for you. . I have been visiting North Wales every year for the past twenty, due to the virus and travel restrictions I will not be able to make it his year. As soon as the whistle blows and the train is under way you are transported into another world, and for a few hours time stands still. Best Regards Pete
Hi Jennifer, thanks for watching the video. I remember the day that I shot the video it's such a terrific narrow gauge railway with a fine history. The staff are always friendly, it's a delight to spend a day there. Cheers Pete
Hi Rob, thanks for sharing your memories and for watching my video. It’s still my favourite heritage line and I always look forward to my next trip. Cheers Pete

Me and my dad visit took place the same year that this footage was made and on the day of our visit the old lady herself was at the head of the train that we traveled on but sadly we never saw Wilbert awdry's recreated study because the museum was closed and not opened to the public
Hi Pavel, thanks for watching the video, It is and will always be my favourite preserved railway. I had a ride during September this year, there is nothing like it........Best Regards Pete
Hi, sorry for the slow reply, the 3rd class coaches are comfortable but the 1st class are fantastic. Everything about the railway is superb......Cheers Pete
Hi, It's a signal box where you leave one block and enter the next. The Talyllyn uses a token system rather than signals, and the driver has to be in possession of the token before he can enter the next block. They're usually manned and the token is handed over from a platform, but on the day of the video it looked like a quiet day so the driver did it himself. Thanks to "Otacatapetl" for this excellent description. I hope this helps, and thanks for watching. Cheers Pete

Hi. thanks for comments and for watching the video. The wind noise is a problem that comes with using built in microphones. I have found some stick on mini dead cats which help to cut the noise.Cheers Pete

great video :-)
Much appreciated comment. I will be uploading a new video which I took in May 2019, again it was a lovely day and the bluebell’s were out. Cheers Pete
You know the engine looks just like Rheneas.
Dolgoch was the basis for Rheneas
@@rishibehal5 Dolgoch and Rheneas do look alike.
@@joelcartagena953 well that's due to the aforementioned reason
@@rishibehal5 good to know. Thanks. And I'm a fan of Thomas & Friends and railways.
Hi Joel, thanks for watching, my favourite narrow gauge railway......
what is the purpose of the blockposts?
Hi Mike, I guess they are needed when running a 2 or 3 engines in steam peak service.

Please get a dead cat on the mic. Audio is spoilt. Good otherwise.

@@ghostontheline I had the same problem but easily fixed by buying a second hand Rode external mic on E Bay. It makes ALL the difference to a video.
