I listen to very few podcasts, but this may be the only one that has made me feel more confident in myself, especially someone of a "younger" generation, to be body-shamed from any bloody bastard, I feel I'm not the only one now :]
This was deeply personal to me as a middle aged fat lass myself. But, I wasn't always and my weight is probably my biggest insecurity right now. My weight gain is deeply entwined with my psychological wounds. Ironically, while society will mostly judge it as a moral failing, I think that if I can learn to love myself unconditionally as I am -- it would have been one of the greatest accomplishments of my life.
I'm glad you addressed this. This is obviously a long standing problem for people of all ages, and fat shaming can be so dehumanizing, even when it's your own self doing the shaming. Lately I've grown rather uncomfortable in my skin, but this podcast helped me embrace my size. I love how you take pride in your appearance, it's really encouraging!
