  • My first ever autocross event at Expo Idaho, Garden City, Idaho. In the Idaho Fairgrounds parking lot. I went with my wife and her Focus ST, I had an absolute blast and plan on racing more events. I captured this video with my dash cam which is a Viofo A119 V3 2K, I purchased off amazon. In this video I am driving my 2020 Hyundai Veloster N Performance Package with the six speed manual transmission. I am on a cheap set of all season tires Atlas Force UHP 245/40r18 and have already purchased a better set of tires for my next event. I finished 4th overall in the novice class and was only milliseconds away from 2nd and 3rd position. I hope you enjoy my progress and thank you for watching!

Any other hyundai Ns?? Bizarrely I didn't know that the base veloster was sold here in Australia, I like to say that velosters have "bubble butts"😂

Here we had 19-22' Veloster N, 22-23' Kona N, and 22+ Elantra N (basically our version of an i30N sedan). I really like the i30N hatch, but we don't get it here, the closest we had were the 13-20' Elantra GT hatchback which was on the i30 platform, but the highest trim was a 18' sport or 19-20' N-Line with a 200hp 1.6t. So the Veloster N was my choice here.

@aussiefurbymogwaifan6621 I'm racing Novice class right now which is basically an open class, until I'm ready to move up. One guy is racing "D Street" class which is where a stock VN is placed in, and the other is in a "ST" class cause his VN is modified. Autocross has strict rules for certain cars in some classes and especially with mods.
