STG's music is too good to be mainstream unfortunately. I'm just glad they have a devoted fanbase. I see that groups like them are in the same boat. The only group that is like them that seems to get more views is The 1975. I would also say that Foster The People is a lot like STG and they are pretty popular.
I love this song...My son Jesse is the YOUNG CHAD in this video...the guitar player and lead singer...so fun to see him on the screen. That is also my old recording studio in Orange County now owned by Ryan Hafer, Secret Ninja. BIG THANKS to him on that one...
Only 211,213 views? God. These guys are seriously so criminally underrated. I hope they break into the mainstream world of radio music again, they deserve it.
The thing is, in my opinion, that the rest of their music sounds nothing like this... I bought their first two albums and I did not enjoy them, but and ex did so I tried. I bought the third album as a reflex and was awed when I heard this one... I was... why isn't all their music like this?!
I like when certain bands aren't commercially successful because then it feels like a little secret that I get to enjoy with a small but dedicated group of fans. STG are definitely one of those bands.
All I can say is if you EVER have the opportunity to see these people live DO IT. DO NO HESITATE. I've honestly seen them upwards of 20 times, and I would drive great distances to see them again. They give some of the best shows out there. And no one is working harder then they are. I know their music forwards and backwards. I adore these four people. They should be HUGE. And this album should be the one that gets them there. The entire thing is prime.
Admire Jeremy's talent myself. I learned about him through MXMS and that is what brought me here. I wished I could play my keyboards as well as he does his.
2012? This came out in 2012??!?!?! Wow they were ahead of their time on this 80's resurgence kick we got going on right now. They straight murdered this track!
I'm so glad I got to see their live shows 4 times! Meet them 2 times with meet and greets with pictures and they are so down to earth! Do a reunion tour please!!
The fact that great groups like this, The Ivy, and The Midnight don't get a lot of recognition like all the mainstream crap that is out there is so criminal. Just goes to show how mainstream music appeals to the average-minded person. These other groups appeal to a smaller group of people that look for music that is more thought-provoking for sure and I'm glad to be in that smaller group.
I keep seeing people drawing comparisons between "Fading Listening" and "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac and I'm wondering if they've heard the mashup that someone put together. Just type in "fading listening fleetwood mac" and you'll see what I'm talking about. You'll see the two album covers transposed over each other. The resemblance is pretty astounding and I can see why people are making the comparison. That being said, "Fading Listening" is one of the best song I've heard. Both Chad and Carah's voices are amazing and during the verses of the song, you really get a sense of that Fleetwood Mac vibe that I love so much. I simply cannot get enough of this song and you really get the full experience when you have a great pair of headphones on. I love the sounds that are played on the guitar right after Carah sings "I know I have a way". It's the combination of her voice and these sounds that really brings it all together for me. But, you'll also notice that during the second verse, the guitar sounds are different and just as amazing. Bravo on this song and it's not quite like any of their other music they've put out and it's good to see a band like this trying different sounds.
I don't know what other people heard bought when my friend and I heard it for the first time from this album we kept thinking it sounded familiar then finally said it sounded like Fleetwood Mac.
this is not my first time commenting about this song............once ever couple of years a song comes around like this. It will never make the top 10, it will never get mass rotation on any top 40 radio station but the people, the listeners and the youTube folks that sample or read comments will get the pure satifaction of getting to hear/see one incredable song/ video that, like me, will play/listen to hundreds of times! Please share this song, I am sure STG will do fine without endorsment.
Adore this band. Adore Carah Faye…….this band was always under appreciated……so sad. This video is frankly brilliant. I pray daily they will get back together…….
I was listening to this the other day in my car,& thought it definitely has a Fleetwood Mac sound to it.My Mom just agreed ,Lol I love that they are experimenting with new sounds on this album.
Really Happy about Carah Faye, about the New Old Shiny Toy Guns! Loved this album, so much better than Season Of Poison ! This album i can say .... THIS IS SHONY TOY GUNS!
Esta super bueno !! Es increible que los niños (as), le gusten la música de los padres, para que luego se puedan manifesta con videos clip!! Felicitaciones son genial
I came on here expecting 350million views by now, not 350thousand.
Top ten most underrated songs in history.

YESSSSSSS!! Im glad im not the only one who thinks that!
demetri beard oh you are truely not the only one
this band should be bigger. what is wrong with people.
I wish I knew...they are great and a LOT of other bands copied them....in MY opinion..
I totally agree. They have such a great sound.

@@renzokukenleneyoyo522 Maybe related to changing some band members.

I got to meet Jeremy and hang out with him at a bar for a while and met Carah Faye. This must have been back in like 2006 or so
Listened to the whole album last night, had it blaring. Almost cried -- brings back so many good memories.
Still remember finding this song in 2012. The nostalgia paired with it, being in high school.
2012? This came out in 2012??!?!?! Wow they were ahead of their time on this 80's resurgence kick we got going on right now. They straight murdered this track!
That's because they make music with their hearts and souls.
Shiny Toy Guns are so amazing, they seriously need more recognition!
I'm so glad I got to see their live shows 4 times! Meet them 2 times with meet and greets with pictures and they are so down to earth! Do a reunion tour please!!
Ummmmmm.....you guys need to go on tour !!!!!!!!!! Were ALL WAITING SLOWLY FADING!!!!🙌🙌
it is just me or do parts of this song remind you of Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams"? Not that it's a bad thing, cool groove and everything.
Was exactly my first sentiments! Haha!
80s dream pop man. Miss this sound
So much yes
It's Fleetwood Mac meets Daft Punk. Masterful shit right here.
BEST SONG ON THIS ALBUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These guys are doing a free show in Rochester for Sandy, so totally awesome.
Someone at the FIve Seven record label needs to get off their laurels. These guys deserve a greater marketing effort.
One of my favorite songs of all time.

Needs more views! STG were awesome in Saf Fran on October 22nd, and III is the best album I have heard in a very long time.
A massively underrated song.
The fleetwood mac influences are so apparent, I absolutely love it.
Agree! I've listened to it for HOURS non-stop :D
One of the coolest music videos and songs I've heard in a long time..
You hear so many current phrases in it. Guess new music always takes from the greats!

I completely agree. It has everything (except maybe a similar styled song to Don't Cry Out). Easily one of the best.
