I'm happy to give an update about this man his life has completely changed since this documentary about him came out. Once the mayor of his town heard his story,he was so upset about how much he was getting paid for his hard work, he decided to hire him as a tour guide. The man has even become a local celebrity in his hometown, he has even traveled all over the world to give talks about his work. Also two universities have even given him a doctor's degree in cultural conservation
I'm in USA and it brought me to tears, first to see such humble, brave and honored people, than to see how bad the humanity handle its resources. I wish I could help Mr. Baltazar and his family to achieve better life quality. Im touched by his testimony and beauty of that region. God bless you Mr Baltazar, you sure inspired thousnads.

This guy brought tears to the eyes of a kid whose nearly emotionless well I am literally emotionless when it comes to school I only laugh a bit.

When the brother said he was forced to retire to construction I laughed. Mr Baltazar is almost 20 years my senior and I would literally die trying to keep up with him.

Recuerdo que un tiempo que estaba enamorado de una chica ella se fue a estudiar a Riobamba y yo echo el loco decidí irla a visitar sin aviso nada menos y nada más que a semejante frío subiendo de la costa por economizar y todo el hotel donde estaba era el más barato y no tenía calefacción me toco bañarme con una agua que me congelaba hasta los huesos al siguiente día me dijeron que era esa agua de una toma salida de una vertiente del Chimborazo ya que estábamos a las faldas del volcán. Fue una experiencia única y el frío & ese viejo amor siempre me traen lindos recuerdos

You should search for the new train in Ecuador video here in TH-cam, it's a beautiful trip in one of the oldest trains in South America but the scenery, culture and food that you will get to taste is amazing. Also you will be supporting the hard work of these amazing people!!!

Nowadays he is a public employee (touristic guide). With some public help, he could finish the primary school recently. Guano government has helped him a lot. He is getting older in a best way.

I make my own directionally frozen, clear-as-glass ice. That factory-made white ice at 5:41.... I would spend the extra money for the Chimborazo ice for sure, it looks really good and pure.
