I’ve been going through a hard time and not a day goes by that y’all don’t make my day.. thank you for making my dark times a little bit brighter. **thank you all who commented and who are praying for me it means a lot to me**
i have times like that too, i love to watch the family get all together it makes me smile. hope your dark thoughts don't do the better of you Mixhelle Mele i hope you have a great life like everyone else do your best in life.
I have a nine year old daughter, and I've had to force myself to step back on a lot of things. Since she is my youngest right now, I've found myself doing too much for her that she can do on her own. We do have to step away to foster independence, but I agree that it is difficult sometimes.
I'd enjoy seeing a Q&A with Becca, where we get to know more about her. She's in so many vlogs and we know so little about her. I think it'd be nice to do a feature on her and her personal/work life. Like a "get to know Becca". :]
I just love how innocent Abby ACTS innocent after telling Asa she wants him to be quiet or leave. Lol I never get tired of watching her blow us away with how far she’s come.
My heart exploded with happiness when Abbie cut the papee! If my heart had captions it would have been screaming what Cilla said! Awe I just love y'all!❤❤🎄👨💻👩🏼🍳👨🎓👸🏽
Abby- tap tap Dad-“ what” Abby- signs break Dad- “break? Break from what?” Abby- taps dad Dad- “what you need a break from me?” I relate SO MUCH. I laughed so hard when she did that...autism or not, she is a young lady who needs her time alone lol 😂 . Her dad was a little hurt lol but I was so proud of how she communicated exactly what she wanted.
Asa, I love that you are very involved in Abby's development and try to help Pric all the time. Trying to step back a little so to let Pric help Abby also, is just awesome.
I love watching yall do life skills with Abbie like wrapping the gift for her friend it let's me know what I can do with my 2 boys on the spectrum thanks so much
Asa you’re doing a great job. For every negative comment out there (of which there are few!)...just know there’s a whole community who loves you and your family. Don’t let the haters get ya down! Much love from Canada.
I absolutely believe that real world application helps people to know what to do. For example, when I was a nanny, I took the kids with me everywhere I went. Every errand I had to run for the house, the children went with me. At first, the youngest didn’t know how to behave, but it took taking him to the store, to restaurants, to the library, and to the post office multiple times for him to realise how to act in public. Yes he has ASD, but he did learn that not EVERYTHING goes into the grocery cart and not EVERYONE’s plate is his to eat off of. So yes, I cried when Abbie wrapped the present, just like I cried when Z took his plate to the sink for the first time, rinsed it, and put it in the dishwasher. It’s the small things that make us cry because we know that they are learning. Sure it takes some longer than others to learn how to do things, but with enough love, patience, and coffee, the important things can be taught.
I love watching y'all! It brings Autism Awareness into my life and if i see someone out in public, i know not to stare and get angry. It is just who they are! My three year old twins love watchin y'all!! They love Abbie and think she is the freaking cutest!
The present wrapping Abbie did with you Precilla was such a proud moment. I so clapped in excitement and cheered as I mum I could see your proud mummy moment I don't you guys will forget that moment for a long time ❤️❤️ I'm so happy for you guys
Abbie wrapping presents makes me smile with so much joy, and super proud. She’s not even my child, and I’m not a parent, but seeing all the progress she’s making everyday is so amazing and heartwarming. ♥️
Our girl has came a long way ..im so proud of you abbie .mom and dad you make me proud also you to Isaiah ..yall make me proud ..i love your family so much
So proud of Abby! Truly amazing! Autism parents celebrate any accomplishment that may seem small to other parents, as if our child won a championship game bc it is a huge accomplishment for them & they deserve praise!
My husband and myself have different relationships with our SN daughter. She’s 7 and has CP.....I’m the tough one. She’s very verbal and we’re fortunate enough that her physical disability isn’t major, but enough that we deal with a lot others don’t. I’m the tough, like “no ma’am!” one.....(we’re in Alabama, southern style parenting!) Dad is the fun one, she’s a daddy’s girl, but when she’s not listening to me in a discipline or instructional situation, she usually listen better to him. We also have our mom/daughter moments where we have fun! Abbie....I related so much on wrapping presents....it’s the WORST girl! 🤣 Love seeing her progress 😍😍
I love how Asa asked if Priscilla was going to leave the present the way it was, and as soon as he heard the tone in her voice he immediately said OKAY! Smart man 😂
Awsome job Abbie IAM so proud of her progress yes we always try so hard to work with all our kids on doing thangs and I have seen so much progress in doing thangs like counting and communication with others and thangs that would be easy to us is hard to them but they have come so far
I watched your show every day and I was in special Ed and I had a lot of challenges to go through.but with my family and friends and teachers help I mad it .I am now 62 years old and living on my own.
Love love how Asa gives a speech on himself being more hands off, and then makes her get up and use more effort, it's just the super fixer dad in you!! :)
You're a great Dad Asa, the love for your family is obvious. Your daughter inspires me every day. Watching her wrap that present made me cry too Priscilla!! She's such a beautiful soul.
The amount of patience & persistence required to motivate, cajole & persuade Abbie to complete a task is exhausting to watch...let alone actually do! I'm in awe of Priscilla & Asa's stamina & upbeat attitudes!
I love watching you guys. I watch your channel every day. My husband will here Abbie yell and say.” You watching your TH-cam family again?” Thank you for putting your real life out there! I’m a Child and Youth Worker and continue to learn from you guys and your interactions with Abbie! Merry Christmas to you guys. Love your family! P.S. Pricilla you look fantastic!
Asa it's ok to try to help...as a father myself I know what it's like to want to be the hero...but sometimes we have to set back and watch the amazing qualities our kids have...Abby is such an amazing little lady...you have a wonderful family...and we are all thankful for the vidoes.... especially me and my wife.....our oldest is 3 and he's on the spectrum....our youngest is 2 and they still have to test him...but they believe he is also on the spectrum....we are literally still new to the spectrum world...I know exactly how you feel when you are proud of a accomplishment....I know how you feel when you feel adgitated....watching these vidoes is sort of like watching our little family....I watch these vidoes everyday to try to learn more....thank you to your family for taking time to make these vidoes...it's a big help to people who doesn't understand, like myself....we all want to learn more.
Debbie Downer over there lol if Priscilla didnt buy them someone else would have what's the difference they're still getting the same money for them it's just all at one time 🤷♀️ people are interesting lol
I thought about that piece of vlog where you said you needed to let Abbie and Cilla work through things without you. My reaction was - wow, having that insight and being vulnerable enough to share that is powerful. I’ve actually thought of it several times since I saw it. Do you know how special that is? You rock, Asa. That’s one reason I watch your vlogs.
Way to go Abbie that was so awesome to see you did a great job cutting the wrapping paper I was smiling so big!!!! Love ya guy's so much you guy's are a great family and I love watching you guys!!!!
As a 35 year special ed administrator and educator, thanks for stressing the follow- through at home with ADL skills. You are right Asa, classroom isn’t like home and, even though it’s time consuming , every child should help out at home. Independence doesn’t happen when it’s just taught at school. God bless all of you, and especially Isaiah who always is there for his sis. Going to be hard when they are separated for college. Happy Holidays and thanks for putting a smile on my face every day. Lost my pop in September and feeling down, but I smile when the posts come through. Thanks for that.
Got my ornament from Abbie today! It’s beautiful! Thank you guys so much for doing this! Happy to have a piece of your special girl in my home and on my tree! Hope your holiday is as awesome as you are!
Sweet Asa! Listen, you are self aware, and work hard at looking at ways that you can improve. That in and of itself is admirable! I actually loved that moment because you caught yourself over helping:-) I, like you, want to jump in and help, and sometimes my daughter ( she’s a neuro typical teenager) will have to remind me to take a step back:-). You’re an amazing husband and father and I appreciate you.
Asa, thank you for being so honest and open. It is hard to step back and let someone else struggle if you think you can fix it. I love yall and love seeing your videos pop up every evening.
Asa, that's just parenting. I was primary care giver and disciplinarian and it is difficult to take that step back and let others take charge. But in the end, it is so worth it. It truly lifts some of the responsibilities and stress you feel when you are constantly "on". Abbie has made so much progress and you are a big part of that. But Priscilla needs the chance to do the same. I love seeing Abbie's progress and you and Priscilla are a testament to that.
Abbie requests popcorn Priscilla “no we aren’t having popcorn” *as I’m shoveling popcorn in my mouth* Priscilla “no popcorn. It’s 9:45” *checks time and it’s **9:48* 👀👀👀👀 I feel like I was there lol
I love how Priscilla guides Abbie while showing her how to do new things. Abbie did so amazing wrapping that gift 💕 Also I’m now craving peanut butter for some reason after watching this. Why tho? 🤔😂
This is my sons account but anyway... I watch these vlogs everyday on my lunch break at work. I work in childcare btw. Today, this video made me burst into tears and so I had to explain to everyone why I was crying. I don’t ubeer stand you’re exact story but my son has been through a lot too and so I understand the joy of seeing your child do something that’s very difficult for them. That success is beautiful and I thank you for sharing that joyful and raw moment with the world. P.s. your videos are insanely helpful in my field since we often see children with different abilities. I’ve learned from you all that treating them as though they are just like everyone else is both helpful and meaningful. Thank you for helping me be a better teacher and influencer of young minds. All my love, J-lynn
awwwww that big grin when Abs cut the paper...how beautiful...and i almost sook every time you experience these firsts xoxo...thank you so much for sharing it all with us...awwww Nala snugglin with Sugar Plum....big hugs n love...
You both are such fine examples of how to parent! Patience having its perfect work so you are perfect and entire wanting nothing! Blessings! SugarPlum decided that Nala was honorary helper! 🥰
I wish I had the patients y'all do because my non-autistic kids do similar tasks in the same manner and it frustrates me to no end LoL. I'm so glad you are doing these videos because even I am learning from them, even though I don't have autism in my house or in my family that I know of. Anyway thank you for all you do and please keep up the great work.

You guys!!!! I've got so emotional with the wrapping gift. You go Abbie 💖 also the last part about Nala taking the elf, I hvr two cats and I can guarantee you that everytime I loose something, 90% of the time my cats took it. Anyways, I love you guys 😍
Just love you all and what a great job you do with Abbie. She's an amazing young girl. I learned about Autism from watching your channel. It shined on something I knew little about. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New year. Wish you all the best in 2020 . And Congratulations to Isiah for getting into college. God bless all of you.
I love you guys so much. I am so grateful that I found your channel and that I get to go along with you on your daily adventures. Your love and positivity are such a welcome thing :) And I'm including Abbie in that statement because she has a lot of love and positivity herself:)
Totally talk in gifs with my friend. Full conversations lol Its a thing😆 On another note: Great job Abbie with the gift wrapping and great job Asa for going with the flow of the wrapping. I know you guys try not to put too many demands on Ab at home after working so hard at school, but I do think its important to incorporate those same skills at home. Parenting is always a learning curve, but you guys are doing great!!
I’ve been going through a hard time and not a day goes by that y’all don’t make my day.. thank you for making my dark times a little bit brighter. **thank you all who commented and who are praying for me it means a lot to me**

i love the way Priscilla always matches her earrings to her blouse. just like my mother did! love it!
i think its natural when you see your kid struggling that your first instinct is to help right away...i struggle w that too.
Me too. I always want to jump in and help.
I have a nine year old daughter, and I've had to force myself to step back on a lot of things. Since she is my youngest right now, I've found myself doing too much for her that she can do on her own. We do have to step away to foster independence, but I agree that it is difficult sometimes.

Hillary I sort of felt abit sorry for her in this vlog tbh. Maybe she didn’t mind but seemed like she was pushed out abit.

Lol when Asa says “ I can tell you’re really into this activity” as Abbie puts her head down on the kitchen island!
I absolutely believe that real world application helps people to know what to do. For example, when I was a nanny, I took the kids with me everywhere I went. I almost cried watching her cut that paper! I know how big those kind of accomplishments feel with my son! Love you guys !

Awww Abbie did great wrapping her gift for her classmate!
I refuse to say “jif” for “gif”!!! Hard G! Lol
I say it in Dutch. So with a horrible G. We don't pronounce G als een J or Hard G, but with our throath as if you are choking. Hahahaha
DEFINITELY G not J
Jessica Patterson I thought maybe I was saying it wrong with the G....LOL.
You don't say Jraphice.. it's Graphics Interchange Format.. there for G not J
Same. Every time Asa said jif I said Gif 😬
Pricilla don’t worry I was crying too! Go Abbie you can do anything sweet girl
Asa you are a fantastic dad. Awesome work Abbie!
I thought it was adorable her wrapping a gift for her friend
You can get Debbie a Christmas card and put a stamp on it for her 😂
Cilllllla! Just popping in to say you look incredible. Y’all make us without families feel like we have someone, thank you! 💜
Abbie did so well!! I'm so happy for you guys! She is really making leaps and bounds!!!
Nala could have her own Vlog... Abbie did amazing wrapping that gift! I'd want popcorn too after all that hard work!
Asa, thank you for being so honest and open. It is hard to step back and let someone else struggle if you think you can fix it. I love yall and love seeing your videos pop up every evening.
Great job Abbie!!!! I teared up too Priscilla!!
I love the way Abbie taps Asa on the head at around 9:50 to say she needs a break.
Abbie requests popcorn
Priscilla “no we aren’t having popcorn”
*as I’m shoveling popcorn in my mouth*
Priscilla “no popcorn. It’s 9:45”
*checks time and it’s **9:48*
👀👀👀👀 I feel like I was there lol
Read this right at 9:45 eating crunch a munch 😂
I love how Priscilla guides Abbie while showing her how to do new things. Abbie did so amazing wrapping that gift 💕 Also I’m now craving peanut butter for some reason after watching this. Why tho? 🤔😂

Well done, Abby! Have a wonderful holiday guys. Fingers crossed Sugar Plum survives Nala’s cuddles.😄
Nala is tooooo cute!
Abbie so chill with her leg up on the chair and all while wrappingher friends gift, lol..I love u girl! Ur awesome! Xoxoxo
I love you guys so much. I am so grateful that I found your channel and that I get to go along with you on your daily adventures. Your love and positivity are such a welcome thing :) And I'm including Abbie in that statement because she has a lot of love and positivity herself:)
Brilliant work Abbie! x
Totally talk in gifs with my friend. Full conversations lol Its a thing😆
On another note: Great job Abbie with the gift wrapping and great job Asa for going with the flow of the wrapping. I know you guys try not to put too many demands on Ab at home after working so hard at school, but I do think its important to incorporate those same skills at home. Parenting is always a learning curve, but you guys are doing great!!
Great post...you both are wonderful. Abbey is doing so well. Merry Christmas to your wonderful family.
You guys work so hard ... bless you
I’ve never seen Abbie use scissors!! 🥰 I was almost crying too!! And laughing so hard at Nala stealing Sugarplum!
