Hi Everyone! I am a beginner rider, want to document my riding journey through this TH-cam channel. This is my first ride home after purchasing 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 650.

Shift up the motor will pull it easily and a little more speed will help stability. Everyone says a good learner bike but I think not so. Just a little too heavy a little too powerful not 100% upright Tires are slippery when new and in wet weather. It may take a while to get going on it so take it slow and pay attention to what you are doing. This bike is nearly perfect for everything so enjoy.
Nice safe ride home. Good job not feeling pressured to outride yourself when the other group of bikers showed up.

First ride home is always really scary on a new bike, I’ve been off a bike 20 years thinking of getting one but abit nervous
Nothing to be nervous about. That's all in your head, I haven't ridden in over 30 years but I'm getting a bike again because I miss it. Just take the MSF course and it will all come back to you. My first street bike will also be the Ninja 650, I grew up riding dirt bikes so this will be my first road bike. I am not nervous I am excited to be back on a bike again.

safest bet, be in the city on those roads, the cars will follow or pass, esp in police heavy area, get comfortable because thats ur life on the bike, theyre sitting down no worries. stay safe
I got bit by the moto bug just a week ago and now I'm craving one.
I've been looking at the 650 and these videos just keep selling me for it.
All that power is great for the beginner to intermediate rider and is a bike you can happily keep in your garage even after upgrading, if you ever do. People say they've been happy with their 300, of all things, for most of their time riding.

Nice video. Beginner rider videos are very enjoyable. You took corners and curves well. I'm a beginner as well. I've only taken the MSF course. I have a first bike, but I got it at an auction so it needs work. I'm hoping to ride it by next week if there's no other issues I come across after the few fixes I'm about to do to get it running. I plan to ride my bike home from the shop, which is about a 13 mile ride. But after that I will try to stick with parking lots to brush up on my skills before riding on the road again. I will be posting moto vlogs as well. Please keep making videos if you can.

Just got a ninja 650r as my first my bike too. Enjoy and ride safe
I’ve been juggling with what bike to get as my beginner bike the ninja 400/500/650 or the Aprilia 457. I’m pretty mature and I’m planning on keepin my beginner for a long time so don’t want something I’m gonna get bored of after 2 or 3 seasons. I also wanna do track days which is why either the ninja 400 or the Aprilia 457 appeal to me.
Take the bike with less power maybe z300 or z400. And once you have the hang of it which takes a few years you upgrade and sell your old bike. A bike with 39ps still has a similar speed as if you’re driving a golf gti. And it’s not as expensive so the few scratches don’t hurt

Should your hands always cover your shifters? Front brake shifter?
I was told by MSF instructor to have 2 fingers on the front breaks all the time. But I can't hold both throttle and breaks at the same time yet. Still working on that.

You suppose to be in the center of the lane
not really, on a bike you’re supposed to be constantly changing lane positions because of the potential hazards on the road, and you’re never should be in the center when at a intersection behind a car
