This man literally taught me how to catch a football. I remember being a teen when he was on The NFL Saturday morning show on Fox, and he showed how to make the diamond, and to always look the ball in.
Never have 3 wrs on the same team matched the speed and gliding that Issac, Torry and Az had. It was incredible and they had Ricky Proehl just chilling and Marshall at his legendary prime
Moss and Carter were better. Vut those two sure were a lot if fun to watch. In fact there were a lot of teams with very good 1 and 2 wide outs that was fun to watch. In fact mid to late 90s and 2000s WR's we got blessed with some great ones to watch. That was a good time period
I was a freshman at NCSU when he was a senior. Torry Holt was not only respected for his playing ability but he had a reputation for being exceptionally hard working. His hard work showed in his productivity. In 1998. Torry Holt had 1,604 receiving yards while playing for NCSU and made All-American. As a pro, he had six consecutive seasons in which he gained more than 1,300 receiving yard. He is in the College Football Hall of Fame. He should also be in Canton.

Wow this brought back a lot of memories of complete and utter torment for me as a 49ers fan. Torry Holt was just a complete menace that routinely murdered our DBs annually. And that deep dig route was just a backbreaker. The Rams ran that over, and over, and over because they could afford to with Bruce/Holt. Their route running was so crisp, it really gave them a huge advantage. Despite the mental anguish, it was difficult not to marvel at how awesome a talent Holt was. The Rams from 1999-2001 was just completely stacked, and for a while virtually unbeatable. It was really cool that you were able to track him down for this interview. The man belongs in Canton yesterday. People talk about Moss, Owens as the top dogs from the 2000's, but I've always felt Holt and Bruce were right up there with the best of them clearly.
I think Bruce and Holt as a duo beat out Owens or Moss on their own for sure. And they were a duo most of their careers. They had their numbers with the other out there as well. Moss has the most pure talent and athleticism, Owens was the biggest winner, Holt ran the best routes, and Bruce was the smartest of them And then Fitzgerald had the best longevity lol. And Calvin Johnson is the best but the least longevity.

Looking at football on 📺 you don’t get a really get a idea how hard the quarterback is throwing the ball.
BTW, when I think of Holt's career, I think of two spectacular catches. One was in 2006 against the Seahawks in St. Louis where he made a long bomb circus grab TD down the middle. I think that catch put him over 10K yards. The other was in the 2001 divisional playoff game against the Packers. Warner threw a deep rocket down the left sideline, and Torry came down with a nutty catch while covered by two Packers DBs (think one was Mike McKenzie.)

A lot of those other duos were just two individuals that played together, these two really had chemistry and it sucks that the Rams had shitty owners and GMs that squandered that
