  • This is a short video of highlights from the Nov. 24, 1968 American Football League game between the Miami Dolphins and the Patriots at Fenway Park in Boston, won by Miami, 34-10.
It is from "This Week In The AFL 1968", narrated by Charlie Jones.
Bob Griese threw three touchdown passes for the Dolphins, who with Larry Csonka, Jim Kiick, and Dick Anderson won one more game than the Patriots in 1968 (5-8-1 to 4-10) and were rounding into the force they would be in the early 1970s.
The Patriots highlight was a 60-yard connection between rookies Tom Sherman and Aaron Marsh for a score.
I don't know who currently has the copyright on this. I don't claim the rights to, and don't profit from, this video. I just posted it for historical and educational purposes, and for those who will enjoy it as much as I did.

The 33 seconds of slow-motion buildup to the Jimmy Keyes first-half ending kick, beginning at 2:45 is easily the tipping point in the AFL becoming the AFC, changing pro football as it existed.

Ha ha! They did overdramatize that one a bit!

But the kick DID put the Dolphins ahead 13-10 at the half!

The pieces were in place for a Dolphin Dynasty. The only thing missing was the chess master Shula
