Hey, You're commenting 0:20 that Square might not be the pick for a service based business - Why wouldn't it be? Interested in hearing some arguments for it while trying to find a base for my customer.
Great question! Square has some good options for service based businesses. Such as appointment scheduling. But the lack of customization for the rest of your website is where I give Square the thumbs down. What service business are you in?
I just found your videos. I'm trying to update my business website and I am having a hard time. Are you still doing consulting? I can send you my business page it's a mess. Customers have a hard time ordering.
Hi Svaren. I'm trying to make an option where you can make one of the items on my menu a combo. Is there a way I can do that so when they select the combo, they can select the side and the drink? Thanks!
Excellent video. Really helps. After customer orders, how do I get notification? How do I print the order ? What POS device to use? Can you please shed some lights on ? Thanks
Hey, sorry for the late reply! You’ll get an email notification and if you use the square app for orders then you will get a pop up notification. Also you can you Fresh KDS as a ticket manager and get orders to pop up that way. I will work on getting a video to go in depth on this topic!
Most of our menu items include a main entree plus a choice of three sides. How can we offer our customers the option of adding an additional protein and extra sides for an extra fee.
You’ll probably want to look at using modifiers and options. Which I’ve been told recently that I should do a tutorial on those because Squares tutorial is lacking!
@@Svaren yes, and please teach how to update/change the price on each option in the future if we need to without to do it one by one on each item we sell. it's really bugging us who sell hundreds of similar items. Thank you so much! 🙏
How do you switch website templates to this new version for restaurants if you already have a website built under the older style? Or maybe switch from retail to restaurant? Not sure what my base setting is, I can't find anywhere to switch it in the edit section. Thanks!
Don't know if you're still offering assist. I have Weebly and Square for my website and online ordering respectively. I'm old school, lol, and having issues getting the square and website items to show and be available to order, as well as the item coming up properly to be able to order. Can you help please?
How do you add your variations lets say i have a sandwich and I want to let a customer select extra cheese for .75 add bacon .75 so on and so forth with check boxes to tick up sales.
I can't believe I forgot that part!! When you add an item, at the bottom next to the "save" button, click "More Options" then you can add all the add-ons and variations that you want!
Hi, how's it going buddy? Quick question, do you have any idea if I can customize the size of the carousel using POWR slider? I'm trying to figure out how I can set up a slider using the entire framework and not only the default embed frame. If you have any info it would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hi, I'm selling paintings and already put 100 items already and now just come to realization about how to update the new price in the future for hundreds of paintings I'm about to sell. so each painting has 4 options size which has different prices for each size. My question is: How if I have to update price on each size option in the future? The variation set of size options are the same for each painting. here the example: Painting of a house has options: size A = $ 1 size B = $ 2 size C = $ 3 size D = $ 4 these sizes applied the same for all other hundreds of paintings. I want to know how to do the price change all at once for each size A B C D option that would apply to all other painting without having to do it one by one because I'm selling hundreds of paintings 😵💫 I hope this question is clear enough, I'm so desperate to find the answer. Or maybe Square is not suitable for this type of business? Thank you.
@@Svaren I’m using Square for restaurants. It’s up to date because just last week it did a system update. It’s weird because I have the square app on my phone and that shows the incoming orders but not on the actual POS. Thanks for the quick reply
Are you using the newish black register or an iPad for the POS? I may recommend using another iPad or tablet with a KDS app like Fresh KDS or Square KDS and all your in house and online orders will pop up
You never mentioned how the customer gets to order, or gets to the square ordering site for your shop.... The setting up seams straight forward, but if I was a customer where would I got to order? Is it am app I have to download first? Or can I Google the shop then order from a website, I don't understand....
When you “Publish” the site then a pop up will show you the shops web address. You would then copy this link that looks something like restaurant.square.site Then you would have this linked on your social media accounts, website, menu, google my business page, and any where else. When a customer clicks the link then they go to the website in their browser. After a few weeks then the site may show up in google but I wouldn’t bet on it without linking to it from your existing website. Thank you for bringing this to my attention!
The lowest tier is indeed free. Fairly limited but you can still have an online store for free. You have the tier that allows for a custom domain and a few more tools. You should be able to downgrade if you choose. You’ll just lose the ability to have a custom domain and have limited analytics. You can compare the plans here: squareup.com/us/en/online-store/plans
why do people blab and not just get to the freaking point. I don't care about your opinions this title was how to build a store. GRRRRR frustrating POS
Sorry to leave you frustrated with this FREE video. I try to provide timestamps so that you can jump straight to the point. However some people (myself included), like to have some background information before they get into the weeds and realize that they picked the wrong tool. I was trying to create a video that actually helps restaurants sell more online. Now this video is almost 5 years old, so there may be a lot of changes may have happened since then. Thank you for your opinion, hope you get you store set up and runnig

I've always loved how easy it was to get started selling with Square! Great tutorial, wish I had it when I first signed up ;)
You and me both!
Thank You.. very informative... i am revamping our square online website, so finding you is great..
That was awesome! Thanks so much.
Hello sir ,
Your video is very help full. Could you please tell how to make the font size bigger and bolder
for Square POS.

I no longer offer consults, thank you for watching!
Hi! How can I add privacy policy and terms and conditions to the website?
Hi Svaren.
I'm trying to make an option where you can make one of the items on my menu a combo. Is there a way I can do that so when they select the combo, they can select the side and the drink?

I am working with the free site and need help with adding the different sizes. I don't know what I am doing wrong
Have you tried adding a “variation” to the product?

amazingly helpful video. thank you ! side note, zero taxes in OR? I need some of that : )
Property taxes and income taxes, but zero sales tax!

Is there anyway to switch back to a single order page?? I accidentally hit the full website 😢😢Help!!
Pretty sure you can just delete the other pages and then set your online order page to the homepage!

Hey Jose, I’m honestly not familiar with the POWR slider. Do you have a link to where you got that?
can square online can be migrated to squarespace
You will have to move everything manually, one page at a time.

The variation set of size options are the same for each painting. here the example:

I was able to set up my page but now I am having trouble with how to do payments or deal with invoices. Is there a tutorial on that?
Are you looking to send invoices for payments? I can certainly work on creating something for that. What kind of business do you have?
I set up my online page, tested it out works fine but it does not send the order to my Square register POS. any ideas why? Any help appreciated
