Personally, I think that family guy is one of those shows that should have ended a while ago. The new episodes are just them grasping at something offensive
If you're the type of person who gets offended by an animated comedy show, then Family Guy was never for you to begin with anyway. The fact that it was so anti PC and literally made fun of everyone is what made it so funny.

@@ghostlybf3785 South Park I still watch and IMHO is the one animated satire that is playing shock humour just right while Family Guy just keeps falling flat on its face.
@@nikkibest5010 Well, in my opinion, the dicotomy of the kid's view and reality gives South Park a cynical edge and makes it more watchable, also the more cartoony look makes it less gross but I still find South Park more explicit and darker because the worst stuff is dealed with in a linear, deadpan way with consequences. Like, Family Guy saves the more shocking stuff for quick gags, and cutaways that bear no real consequence or threat to the main plot. Also, comparing the most demented moments of both, SP still takes the cake by large, and even so, still feels less mean-spirited because aside from Cartman, the main characters are all not dicks, whereas Griffin and CO. have been turned into such cruel bastards it pains sometimes
Wait, Jess can legally marry Brian, like he's a person, but then she can have him legally euthanized, like he's an animal? I wish Family Guy would be more consistent as to whether he's treated more like a person or more like a dog. Otherwise, Quahog has a HUGE bestiality problem.
Slashbash American Dad made a joke about people calling Family Guy unrealistic where Rogers says I’m an alien in a wig and no one recognizes me and that’s totally fine yet a baby and a dog start talking and people lose their shit.
The episode he picked out from season 2 is "Death is a Bitch" and my favorite episode of all time. It did everything well, cut aways, story transition, and an extended scene for humor. It was what made me love Family Guy, it's sad that it changed so much.
Luna Pyrope but that was quite funny the comedy flowed now it’s just shock humor and basically ha ha look at this I can’t believe we went that far did you see I heard they went THERE
It's possible, I suppose. I haven't seen that episode yet. It's also due in part to how uninspired it felt. I've already seen everyone discuss this stuff years ago and they've done nothing new with it other than say "you look like a douchebag". That's how it came across to me. Not trying to sound like I'm discounting what you've said, because I think you have a good point. But the way they went about it just feels like shit I've heard over and over again years after it was a popular subject to meme on. That could just be me.
Don’t get me wrong; I also think this episode is terrible. I hate modern Family Guy. But I don’t think that the vape storyline was outdated. I’m in high school. Every time I walk into the bathroom, people are vaping. It’s becoming an epidemic.
@@blueberryjelly9815 Yeah I really can't be asked to read something completely blowing stuff out of proportion thanks. Vapes aren't used as healthily as you use them for. I certainly still look down on them nor do I need them, so you can stop trying to plug it to me like it's gonna matter. I'm fine without smoking or vaping
The worst family Guy episodes are: "Herpe love sore" "Not all dogs go to heaven" "Life of Brian" "Seahorse Seashell party" and that episode where Stewie is pregnant.
@bryan diaz varela The rule of thumb I learned after season 8, if the plot is centered around Brian, change the channel or become as bitter and suicidally depressed as he is.
I havent watched in years. Seth himself stated killing brian was his attempt to kill off the show, but it was too popular to cancel despite the backlash. I consider that episode the end of the show.
Here's a better plot: Jess participates in a treatment program for her cancer, her hair quickly falling out from the chemotherapy which leads to extreme insecurity and depression on top of the stress from her diagnosis. She becomes obese due to a large increase in her hunger as another side effect of the chemotherapy along with developing an eating disorder to cope with her declining physical/mental health. She successfully completes her treatment and becomes cancer-free, but now has to live with her obesity, depression, and lack of confident self-image. It then falls to Brian to encourage her to get better every day, and he works hard to see her betterment fulfilled. Jess, however, sees how hard Brian is trying for her and begins to improve, only to find that she now feels extreme guilt from how hard he is working for her which leads to an advancement in the severity of her depression. Eventually Jess can't take it anymore and divorces Brian, realizing it's not the best decision she could have made, but at the same time unable to bear that guilt she feels. In the end, Brian moves on and Jess leaves Quahog to find her own strength and push herself towards self-betterment instead of relying on others to push her. I know this is a huge step from what Family Guy normally is, but if the writers can pull off an episode like "Brian & Stewie" and have the majority of fans love it then an episode like the one I described above is no large feat. If anything, it'd show that when someone's gotten better it doesn't always mean that they've "gotten better." The "Brian & Stewie" episode showed that no matter how someone acts on the outside you never truly know what torment they are or were in over the course of their life, and the fact the Brian, the show's dedicated voice of reason, was someone who if the Griffins didn't adopt him would have had one last drink before putting a gun to his temple is something that shocked everyone who tuned in to the episode. So why can't we have an episode that shows physical and mental wellness aren't the same thing?
Man punctuation would have so helped that. I dont think there is a single period in the last paragraph. All commas. I would LIKE to read it and understand but its confusing
If you really would like to understand it so much then just read it over either aloud or slower than you were. Either one tends to help with comprehension. Also, you do know that commas are a form of punctuation, right? And that there are periods in that paragraph? Kinda makes me think you just skimmed it over, ngl. If you can get through the first paragraph just fine then I don't see how the second one would cause trouble.
I would take Family Guy over South Park anyday that show is terrible. Instead of writing a story and filling it with jokes you know *proper storytelling* Instead every episode is one big joke that stops being funny very quickly. I can't stand any of the characters, the voices are annoying, it's overly preachy, thinks it's smarter than it really is.
@@icecreamhero2375 I do agree that a lot of the voices in South Park are definitely annoying. I hate how one guy voices almost every male character in the show.
@@WeegeeSlayer123 Even when they have funny ideas they always ruin them. One example is the tooth fairy mob episode. The idea sounds kinda funny but watching it I was like so this is all there is huh deep sigh. 😒 I have given it many changes at most I would get a chuckle.
It's no surprise that many people wants this show to die. Feel like this show has overstayed it's welcome and like that if it wants to be put out of it's misery already
I think ‘Trump Guy’ is probably the second worst episode of this god awful show. It took me a week to get through the whole thing because I just couldn’t stand it.
“You tell her whatever you want, but that’s not how it went down” That one joke is better than the last few years of FG. AD has always been the better show in my opinion.
I like how you didn't reeeeeeeeee at a family guy episode, your reason wasn't because "it was misrepresenting" "it was bigoted" "it was *insert big brain word*, you sad it was bad simply because it had nothing to hold up
I try not to be like that unless it's purely just for some kind of joke. Mostly for an animated movie or something of the sort. Family Guy is nothing really worth getting antsy or vitriolic over lol
@@DallSmickthat's a good approach. The entire point of Family Guy is to make fun of everyone and everything. It didn't go down hill because it became mean, it was always mean, it went downhill because it stopped handling it's jokes properly.

It seems to be the general consensus as of late among the animation community that “Dead Dog Walking” is the worst episode of Family Guy. Could not add my too cents to it as honestly I haven’t watched the show in over three years as I quit that series and sticked to American Dad (which is kind of declining in quality).
I think because the characters all constantly do weird, rude, anti social and crazy things in newer seasons there’s no surprise anymore when they come out with these things because it’s totally expected. In older episodes, the characters still had heartfelt moments and seemed normal at parts so it was still shocking
Man i feel like you just described every simpon episode since season 16 and it's sad realizing that the series i always considered funny didn't make me have a good laugh in 10 years.
10:47 Can I just say that if the episode in this clip had been made today I guarantee you Peter would have been a grotesque blob of bloody flesh upon contact with the pavement
You know one of my favorite episodes is the one where Stewie and Brian gets stuck in a storage room and have to stay in it all night, that while yes has it's ups and downs was a very good character building episode and fleshed out Brian and Stewies relationship... Then the show writers turned around and say "Fuck it", and made an episode where Stewie artificially inseminates himself with Brian's DNA and has deformed dog/human babies who die in disturbing ways... Fuck this shitty show.
I don't know, I feel like the worst episode of Family Guy goes to a tie between the Quagmire statutory rape episode and the one where Peter tries to marry Chris
All family guy consists of nowadays is homosexual glorification, anti-god, beastiality, and sex jokes, and insults or mockery of other people. I guess it's turned into Seth's personal playground for his opinion instead of an actual series and it's shown for a long while. Hence why the show feels so toxic.
The episode where Stewie got pregnant with Brian is the episode I stopped watching Family Guy, I probably would’ve stopped long ago, but that episode was the final nail in the coffin.

It’s to advance the plot. Fictional shows can bend the rules like that. It’s why they’re fictional shows.
@@FaffyWaffel when you have a show, fictional or not, you need to be consistent. It can be fuck all logic, but it needs to be logical within the show

I wouldn’t say the fact that they brought up vaping was outdated. South Park did a great episode about vaping around the same time.
Seriously though, watch that South Park episode. It’s called “Tegridy Farms”.

Yeah but you forgot to add jokes or make it funny. Family Guy fails when it tries to be a drama.

If only Family Guy could crank episodes out weekly like South Park, then the social commentary jokes wouldn't feel so outdated and unfunny.
