It’s already started. Daddy of eight loosing custody is just the beginning. And now church mommy and her abusive bestie going to jail. There’s going to be more and more parents help accountable with more mainstream trials and as more kids come forward. It’s just pathetic any child would have to go though anything like this to begin with

It used to be that if you wanted to exploit your kids for fame, Hollywood and the music biz were the primary avenues. Well that and whatever physical abnormalities/unique properties they may have had. Now literally anyone can get famous exploiting their kids with the power of social media. It’s just hundreds and hundreds of Shirley Temples all over the internet. I fucking hate this planet.

@Dave102693 There's also a small trend of stories on reddit popping up the last couple years, too, about kids who have grown up with their parents using them on videos for TH-cam and TikTok, and how it's ruined their lives, and how a lot of them are pushing back, because they can understand what is happening and fully don't consent to it.

There was a father who used to cosplay with his daughter as Peter B Parker and May Day. They were adorable and got millions of views. I personally never saw any creepy content and he never posted anything out side of cosplay involving her. The moment he saw some fan made instagram page he deleted everything and called those people out and said he is never going to post anything with his daughter. That’s what a responsible and loving parent does.

    • @itsnotthatdeep6657
      @itsnotthatdeep6657 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +74

That's because all these platforms use a stupid AI to review that kind of stuff and the AI doesn't know what SA stands for. And they can't teach it what it stands for because then it'll flag comments that use SA in a context like, "I'm still recovering from SA" or "They were accused of SA" or anything like that. That's the issue with using AI instead of paying real people to sit there and review that kind of stuff. AI can't understand context and as such will either under or over correct/censor things. This isn't a defense. I think it's ridiculous we're in 2024 and we still for some reason don't advocate for just hiring real people to review that stuff but that's the reality of why unhinged crap like that is allowed to just stay on the platform. Companies don't want to pay for more employees and the few people who are there are too lazy to ever actually look into those reports.

    • @music2012pink
      @music2012pink 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

Apparently there are people in poor countries that are training AI, and people who would love to review messages like that, as they are also reviewing traumatic videos put online to properly flag each issue, either locals or moved there for the job.
There's one person who saw a video of her granddad in America who was in a car crash and they told her to finish her shift before taking time off, so had to watch him being killed over a over again because it was filmed and uploaded from multiple angles. I’m so glad Chris Hanson spoke on her. Maybe it finally got enough attention. She’s putting that child in adult situations that will also have adult consequences. A four year old has no concept of what 17 million even is. She can probably only count to 10 at this point. This isn’t just child exploitation but child endangerment and neglect. People are unhinged and lack boundaries so it wouldn’t surprise me if she had a stalker or two. If they are ballsy enough to say the vile disgusting things they do on an open platform, they won’t hesitate to find you either. She’s not doing the single most important thing as a parent. And that is, she’s not PROTECTING her child. She’s willing to put her child in harms way for money. Maybe she should make HERSELF an OF and exploit her own body if the money is so important. She can consent, the child can’t.
I’m a mother of a 19 son and 17 daughter. I see grown men staring at my daughter. Even when she’s in baggy sweats and hoodie. There’s been an old man who videoed and took photos of my daughter and her best friend. They reported it to the rink owner and he refused to do anything. Said the man is allowed to bc it’s a public establishment. That scares the hell out of me as a mother. Grown men walk right up to her and start talking to her with me standing right next to her in a store. She will tell them to leave her alone and they call her nasty names. I was threatened after I told them to eff off and she is a minor. She’s been followed through the mall. A 22 yr old got her snap from someone at the rink and he proceeded to try and sneak out at 1am to the local park. She woke me up immediately and showed me. Guess who showed up at the park, me and a police officer. This is a dangerous society. Parents need to protect them. Not hand them right to the wolves.

Saw a police body cam of this mentally unwell guy that was on the street of this 9ish year old girl he was stalking. She had posted some basic things on youtube for a while on her own and he became obsessed. Her parents took her offline when they realized the danger, but this man still managed to find where she lived and go there.
That's without a parent orchestrating her channel for maximum views and with the parents eventually doing the right thing. Her channel also didn't have weird stuff that would blatantly appeal to predators (of course predators can latch onto even innocuous videos of kids).
I wouldn't be surprised if there's already stalkers of this kid that just haven't done anything in person so far. But the longer it goes on, the more vulnerable she is :(

I think we really need to point out the fact that an actual family member of Jacquelyn contacted the authorities to look into this, which led to Jacquelyn supposedly contacting the FBI to essentially clear her name. A real family member, someone who knows this woman and her child in real life, was concerned enough to bypass the police entirely and go straight to the Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
As for Jacquelyn, she will not stop until she is forced to stop, likely by law enforcement considering the way things are going now. As long as the money is coming in, it doesn't matter what people say about her daughter.

Get a job. I'm a single parent. I would never sell my child's image on the internet so i could be a stay at home parent. I have bent over backwards, sideways, upside down, and every other contorted direction to make sure i could provide for my child. I didn't have a good job when i had my kid. I worked my way up over the last decade to get a good job, and only now that I'm in my 30s is it starting to get marginally easier. I think saying no pic of a child online is innocent is a bit much.
      All things in perspective.
I do think this is a highly problematic and suspicious account.
I also think the overwhelming majority of increased shares and bookmarks on the most questionable TikTok’s are due to thousands of people saving it and sharing it with others because they think it is disturbing and want a second opinion or want to forward it to authorities.
The majority of people weirding out over kids - teens eating something “phallic” tend to be religious fundamentalists with their brains in the gutter. That why there have been recent examples of teens being suspended from public high schools for sharing a pic of their friends enjoying a popsicle at a county fair. The principal responsible for the suspension is usually a fundie that thinks everything is perverse.
      Point -
If you think the majority of people are predators your perspective is skewed. Neglect is the most common form of CA followed by PA and the CSA/exploitation.
The fact remains that the majority of crimes against women and children take place at the hands of someone they know. Not strangers.
This does pose more questions about the mom in this situation.
(Ruby Frankes kids most certainly were not being abused by online predators and people keeping an eye out online most certainly contacted authorities.)
Predators could see your child in real life. Should they never be allowed out? Again, all things in perspective. You have to be aware of issues but not consumed by them to a detrimental degree.
I find it depressing when I hear parents say they cannot trust anyone they know, they cannot post any pics of their kids online and they cannot let their kids out to play due to fear and skewed perspectives.
Stranger danger was a well intentioned but misguided phenomenon that came with many problems.
You can be responsible and aware of potential problems with online predation without completely shutting down.

Obviously the comments speaking to Wren being at an elevated risk of assault, kidnapping, etc. from strangers are very true, but something I’m not seeing anyone talk about is what’s going to happen when Wren goes to school. All these inappropriate, embarrassing videos are easily accessible by her classmates and their parents, and the accounts already have a huge following: she’s at a really elevated risk of being bullied and excluded.
Her classmates are going to find the embarrassing stuff and will probably bully her because of it. And what parent who sees what Wren’s mother posts is going to let their child hang out with her? If Jaclyn is so comfortable posting inappropriate content of her daughter’s every moment, what’s stopping her from filming other people’s children and posting that online without the parents’ consent? Why would any sane parent let their child be friends with Wren when her mother is an active threat to their child’s safety?

She responded that she's free to do what she wants and isn't going to let her ex control what she does. I said she's giving up her children's safety for her desire to post online and she said that nothing should take away her freedom to do what she wants.

This reminds me of a YT video I saw of a creator about my age (early 20s) who was dealing with a stalker. Instead of taking a break from making videos, she did a whole exposé on the guy (which I'm sure he ate up, as creeps like that often do) and literally announced in the video that she was at her parents' house, where he had already visited before. Of course no one should have to give up what they love because of evil people, but the way that some people value content for social media more than they value their - or their CHILDREN'S - safety is just baffling to me. Like what is so great about social media that people will literally give up their lives and safety for it, I will never know. Hope your friend turned out/will turn out safe.

The people on those sites are constantly sharing all forms of content with one another, including content from "clearnet" social media. Given the popularity of Wren Eleanor's TikTok it is pretty much guaranteed that some of the users on those darknet sites would have shared her content with other users. And whether it has occured or not it is impossible for anyone, even the FBI, to scour the entire darknet and say that Wren Eleanor's content doesn't appear anywhere. So if that is what her mother is claiming then that doesn't make any sense.

as a csem/trafficking survivor, wren is being trafficked. at the very very least, being the most generous to jacquelyn, it's non contact csa. but deliberately making sexual content of someone who does not or cannot consent for money is literally the definition of digital sex trafficking.
what i was abused by was a 'typical' old school csem ring, but this is a whole new level of scary. social media is allowing more people to independently traffic their children, out in the open where anyone can see it. i at least have the reassurance that if anyone in my life finds those pictures, they're incriminating themselves because if they're on the internet it's not on the surface web. wren doesn't have that 'luxury'. this poor girl is going to grow up (hopefully; this kind of thing kills people) harassed by predators and peers who found that content, while also feeling that sense of betrayal from the person she was supposed to trust most her entire life. she might not be able to get jobs around children because of this, even though she was the victim. it's so public, and it uses her real name. genuinely, i am devastated for her.
to those saying jacquelyn cannot be trafficking wren because she isn't attracted to children: many members of the group that trafficked me were not clinical pedophiles. they just cared more about money and having power and control over someone vulnerable than they did my safety and wellbeing. not to mention that of the other kids involved. attraction is not a prerequisite for abuse.

When I was a little girl, an old man felt me up me in a grocery store - with my mom standing right there, in the one second she had turned her head to read a label. My parents reported it to the store management and the police that very same day once I told her what happened. They made me wear baggy, form-hiding clothes (which I hated) for a year after that - and I know that’s a problematic response, but that was my parents trying to protect me, the only way they knew how - by trying to literally hide me from the perverts.
If my mother had posted me on the internet back then, and even got ONE lewd comment, I would be off the internet TO THIS DAY, at 35 years old. That’s how serious my parents were about protecting me. So it boggles my mind when I see Wren’s mom, and any other mom, parading their vulnerable kids for every sick old man to see, pretending those sick old men aren’t looking.
Am I saying Wren’s mother should take her off the internet entirely? No, not necessarily. But the fact that she’s enabling these perverts to keep creeping on her child, and doing absolutely nothing to protect her, is sickening.

I notice that there was a single man staring at her every move. I watched this go on for long enough to be 100% confident that he was getting off on watching my child move about. It was sickening. He could not keep his eyes off of her. I walked to his table, got in his personal space and shouted loudly in his face to stop staring disgustingly at my child and if he even glanced her way law enforcement would be called.
I ended up asking the manager to have him removed, as I didn't want the rest of the evening to be ruined by this freak.

@@TomikaKellyActing in a movie or advertisement is not the same as private moments of your life being filmed and posted for everyone to see. (Though child actors have been horrendously exploited through the entire history of the film industry and it's absolutely an issue that should also be discussed. It's just its own massive conversation and probably better off being mostly discussed separately.)
As far as I'm aware, surveillance camera footage isn't just up for anyone to watch on TH-cam. Or it sure shouldn't be. And it's footage of the public, not documenting a specific person's whole private life in one place for everyone to see. (However, excessive surveillance is its own topic that concerns everyone in today's technology rich world, not just kids, and is absolutely worth talking about as well. In a separate conversation.)
And lastly, kids existing in public and being momentarily perceived by their local population is in no way even remotely comparable to filming them in private and posting it for the whole world to see forever.

i've found entire groups of ped0s on instagram and had to report them to the FBI. instagram and other social media accounts refuse to remove their accounts-even if they post suggestive pics of kids or roleplay as children whose photos/voices they steal. it's horrifying. even when instagram added the "this involves a child" report option, it doesn't always work, because whatever tech they use to sort through reports doesn't understand suggestive content of kids is just as bad as outright sexual content. the internet is a beautiful thing sometimes but there's an entire dark side just right there, easily accessible for children.

I remember a mom similar to this (clearly sexualizing their child for internet engagement) explaining her mental gymnastics of "if she wears a bikini at the beach, creeps are still going to think that! It'll happen either way!" While completely ignoring that a creep in a public setting thinking that is completely different from a creep saving a video to send to their creep friends, being able to MAKE THEIR THOUGHTS PUBLIC for the CHILD TO SEE, and with the setting being the CHILDS HOME.

This poor baby. I’d honestly prefer that the mother was really just that ignorant, but it’s obvious that’s not the case. She knows what she’s doing 100%. There’s no sugarcoating, there’s no excuse, there’s no alternative motivation. She’s exploiting her child for money from sick, pervy adults. No mother, and I mean NO MOTHER that cared about their child more than themself would keep up a video that gets that kind of attention. No mother would continue to let her child be in danger like this purely because “I’m gonna do what I want because I can”. No mother would be okay with even letting the POSSIBILITY of their child growing up to know that HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of pedophiles have videos of her saved on their devices. She has no love left for this child, that space is already filled up with greediness. It’s hard to admit, but I highly doubt she didn’t have this baby purely for the purpose of social media attention, no matter what kind of attention that would be. She’s working with these people. That girl should never EVER be under the authority of this woman and neither should any other child or vulnerable, impressionable living being for that matter. (sorry that this is so long, but this just needed to be said).

This was over 20 years ago, that kid is an adult now and my guess is they have next to nothing for an online presence compared to most their age because their mom had the foresight to realize how exposing your child to the internet could go very, VERY wrong.
