Having worked for & alongside people like Iger in the corporate space, I think it's just as likely that internal Disney politics played a part in the game & Propaganda Studio's ultimate demise. Internal corporate politics are brutal, and whenever I see business decisions that seemingly make little financial sense it inevitably traces back to someone who has the ear of the decision-makers. Pirates was a far bigger franchise than Tron... easily big enough to successfully sell multiple games at the same time. With Iger's strategic focus on acquisition, expansion & increasing market share rather than preserving Disney's quality standards, I can't see his execs pulling the plug on a game that is already well progressed & garnering positive market interest like this one without some serious manoeuvring behind the scenes.
