Glad none of us were alive back then. I totally get the meaning of this song, as I live in a small town in TX. We watched video after video of paid protesting on the News where you could see the day before J6, dump trucks from the city were dropping off bricks in little piles all down the streets of the capital bldg. like they were deliberately leaving thfm to be used by any lame stupid enough to use them. There were Trump supporters that were there, protesting the fraudulent election, next thing you know Antifa shows up from a side street, where they were caught on camera, changing from their black military clothing & boots, & putting on Maga Hats & T-Shirts thst said Trump on them. Media actually waited until they were dressed into their Maga gear, BEFORE they started filming it!! These groups were there to create a narrative, & The Democrat party KNEW IT! Today I look around at the shape our country is in with open borders, & govt fueling race wars. We are smart enough to see it for what it is. An attempt to divide our Country by Race. In my small town, we aint having it. Your actions tell us who you are. Be the person you want others to be. Kind, caring, & an ounce of humility will take you places🙏🏼
Small town USA makes up 90% of this Country! Thank God I was raised in a small conservative town in the South and I’ll NEVER leave! We have little to no crime bc everyone has at least one Gun, but most have multiple and we have less restrictive laws on guns and have what’s called the Castle Doctrine in North Carolina. That means us Carolinians have an extra layer of protection if we shoot an intruder! Also we all know each other and all the cops. We don’t even have many cops here bc we know how to protect ourselves and have the right to protect ourselves with our firearms , therefore nobody comes into our small fully Armed town with tough country boys who don’t take any sh*t. God Bless America & the South!!! ❤️🇺🇸🤟🏻
Love this song... nothing racist in it... I bought the dang tee shirt... I'm from small town America.. don't mess with our own. We will take care of our family and friends... Cities are different... Rural communites take care of each other
As an American, but not a regular listener to country music and entirely unaware of what's on it's charts, I knew exactly what this was going to be about just from the title. It's where we are these days.
I live north of Indianapolis and used to work in Chicago during all the riots and craziness. When all that was going down in Chicago and ppl were burning and looting everything they had a group of rioters decided to go down I65 towards central indiana. The indiana state police actually blocked the interstate and turned them around partly for the rioters own safety. It's a different mentality outside of the big cities and rural towns will typically not put up with that crap
In America.. as may be the same in the UK. Small Towns (your Villages) .. all know each other. We don't take kindly to people coming in and hurting our families, destroying our homes or our small businesses. It won't stand in a small town in America. You come to a small town in American .. Good Luck. We have the Right to Bear Arms and protect ourselves.
Grew up in a small town, but it's the town that had black players on the basketball team. When we'd visit other towns, well the cops were there surrounding the bus when we won. That was 30 years ago! Thankfully things have changed. I think the reason this video caused a stir, the footage wasn't small town folks. It focused on the idiots, who gave a bad name to thier neighbors. Small town odds, one on one, city odds are a bit different.. You're blaming most for the actions of a few? Break it down, small town with 4000 or less versus people you don't even know in the city? I have no problem with the song, just can understand why others would.
I don't think you have to live or be from a small town to understand this message. I'm from a mid size city in the midwest (2.2 million metro) and I guess we also don't understand wanton, unhinged destruction of anything nearby. We all respect the right to peaceably protest, and it used to be that it hindered your cause to resort to violence. Apparently, that has changed.
I like the song a lot, but I wouldn't even call it straight-up "country". Country doesn't have guitar fills and drums like that. I would say "Country Rock" or "Southern Rock".
I love this song. It was controversial when it first came out but its calmed down now. It went to number one pretty quick. I cant remember if yall have reacted to Toby Keiths Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue the Angry American or not. It was written in response to 911. Another of my favorite.
Why most people are against it he is hypocritical he tells people not try things but his first wife gave up so much made him big time then he cheated on her with a trophy wife.
It's a catchy song. It's catastrophically stupid in reality, but it's a catchy song to revel in nostalgic daydreams to. I've lived in small towns and big ones too. This is an example of the mental masturbation that creates stories of small towns that don't fit the narrative like Uvalde, Jasper, Saltillo Shores, long list of small towns that are monumentally horrific. Only the most stupid assume small town are less apt to terrible aspects of humanity than anywhere else.
I like what you said at the beginning, its controversial but it's a song you can feel good with 100%. Lol mental masturbation. I'm not sure if I agree with the second part of your comment, or if I completely got it.
None of those fit the definition of a small town. One of them is actually considered a city. (Uvalde) Not to mention this about mobs breaking the law and hurting people and getting away with it, which wasn't what happened in the circumstances you are likely referring to. In addition, for Uvalde, it wasn't the ordinary folks that were the problem, it was a messed up person and the cowardly police...
@@jameshunt9208 Those are just famous examples. As I mentioned, I've lived in both small towns, like Pottsboro, Tx and big cities like Dallas. As I also mentioned, you're just as likely to find the worst and best of humanity in either place. At least black folks were allowed to drive through and live in Dallas.
As a proud American living in a small town, these idiot rioters wouldn’t last five minutes . They tried to come to our town and we’re quickly turned around. They didn’t try to come back. Nuff said

No,people just wanted something to be upset about like usual. So someone started digging up history to see if they can make some false connection to this song. I thought it was about antifa but I guess some people think only blacks act up. Sounds like you are the racist ones.
DAZ & GAYNOR - Do you realize how controversial this song is in the U.S.? It’s so incredibly racist and bigoted? How can you support that? You should’ve researched this song before promoting it.
You're treading on thin ice. With your fellow conserevatives constantly sucking up to Russia and threatening civil war like babies that need their nappies changed, I wouldn't joke about who is a "real American."
Daz, when you're in the US you'll want to visit Charlottesville, VA. In 2017 a white supremacist deliberately drove his car into a crowd of people peacefully protesting the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, killing one person and injuring 35. *From Wikipedia:* "Fields was convicted in a state court of the first-degree murder of 32-year-old Heather Heyer, eight counts of malicious wounding, and hit and run. He also pled guilty to 29 of 30 federal hate crime charges to avoid the death penalty. He was sentenced to life in prison plus 419 years for the state charges, with an additional life sentence for the federal charges." You've expressed great joy over car attacks on left wing protesters. Perhaps you can meet up with Virginia white supremacists and klan members and let them know you appreciate their effort. If you read the article I left under the most recent 'car attack' video on your primary channel it explained that this tactic has long been used by white supremacists and the klan to terrorize peaceful leftist protesters.
Its a subliminally racist song.. and its literally only charted high because closet racists love it and cream over it.. if he was singing about anything else none of these ppl jizzing over it wouldnt care and I didn't think yall would agree with him but since you do.. ✌🏾

How awful and disgusting that was, it was also almost 100 years ago.
Nobody gives a shit..
In my small town in E, Texas , you never know who is packing . Almost no crime.
Toby Keith courtesy of the red white & blue
Aka: The Angry American..it was written because of 9/11
I think ive seen them do that one
Toby Keith song "as good as I once was"... I appreciate it now as I get older
Yup, try that down my dirt road, there's 15 families that won't let ya make it out.
What a tune 😍👊
Rural communites take care of each other
Southerners are very passionate and patriot You should also watch Buddy Brown s How trespassers die!
As an American, but not a regular listener to country music and entirely unaware of what's on it's charts, I knew exactly what this was going to be about just from the title. It's where we are these days.
Yay music reactions
Good song speaking the truth.
Biltmore House in Asheville NC is beautiful this time of year. It’s not far away from Tennessee and the ride is amazing, I promise
Especially now with the leaves starting to turn.
The idea and a granddads gun is that it’s unregistered and typically grandadified (modded) with a damn homemade instruction manual
This song panders to people who will never, ever have this happen in their small towns. It does keep them afraid though.
Afraid? 😂😂😂
You guys are afraid of everything. I live in a small town and the fear is everywhere. They're afraid to go to a big city.@@joeladams2540
You're right. This song in no way illustrates anything about small towns. I'm not surprised since the singer never lived in a small town.
@@joeladams2540 People who carry guns to go grocery shopping are scared of everything and everyone.
Are you going to do a meet and great in Nashville?
That song is kinda a banger. If he had filmed it literally anywhere but a lynching site, people would not have noticed this song for some time.
It's about law and order that helps the community.
Small fact, china has the biggest army at 5 million, the USA has 100 million gun owners! And none of us only have 1 gun😊
Amen! Try that sh%t in a small town!
Have you listened to any Colter Wall Daz or G?
Grew up in a small town, but it's the town that had black players on the basketball team. When we'd visit other towns, well the cops were there surrounding the bus when we won. That was 30 years ago! Thankfully things have changed. I think the reason this video caused a stir, the footage wasn't small town folks. It focused on the idiots, who gave a bad name to thier neighbors. Small town odds, one on one, city odds are a bit different.. You're blaming most for the actions of a few? Break it down, small town with 4000 or less versus people you don't even know in the city? I have no problem with the song, just can understand why others would.
Gay..
@@CollinKillian Congratulations on coming out Collin. Good luck to you and your future man.
Hes not wrong, they tried to bring their crap into idaho and were shut down real fast by our local militias 💪
A great country song to react to would be Garth Brooks Friends in Low Places.
I live in a small town and you dam right that wouldn't happen here.
We the people need to stand up against ignorance
I like the song a lot, but I wouldn't even call it straight-up "country". Country doesn't have guitar fills and drums like that. I would say "Country Rock" or "Southern Rock".
Howdy from Knoxville Tennessee 👋
i see the problem here, he isn't listening to the lyrics, this sends a different message and he isn't picking that up lol
We should be like the South in England. We’ve gone soft with these gangsters, thugs and criminals
I love you Daz an gainer
I love this song. It was controversial when it first came out but its calmed down now. It went to number one pretty quick. I cant remember if yall have reacted to Toby Keiths Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue the Angry American or not. It was written in response to 911. Another of my favorite.
Really?
You guys have got to go to a gun rang here in America
I've lived in small towns where people commit all those crimes. I guess he hasn't been in a small town.
This. Band is .most Americans I promise
.
Why most people are against it he is hypocritical he tells people not try things but his first wife gave up so much made him big time then he cheated on her with a trophy wife.
song would be better if he was actually from a small town and actually wrote his own songs
Amen
Why? The song is about the regular person that won't deal with the riots, and crime orchestrated by group's with agendas.
@@davidcosta2244lol and yet he filmed the video in a spot a riot of white people killed a black person
Woah scary tune
He got the song right.
Great reaction guys! Please react to Dirt Road Anthem next.
This song is country pop not really country
Everyone screaming about racism y'all are A joke
Do Chris Stapleton fire away... great song great music video
Just a note: this is the same country singer who’s concert goers were opened fire on and many died at his concert at Mandalay Bay in Vegas shooting.
And you're somehow suggesting that's his fault?
@@DaveJansenTPV what? I said “just a note”…do you know how to read? It was an observation: what planet are you on? 🤣
Okay?
100 percent try that shit were everyone is a hunter and owns guns
As a proud American living in a small town, these idiot rioters wouldn’t last five minutes . They tried to come to our town and we’re quickly turned around. They didn’t try to come back. Nuff said
This man wasn't born or raised in a small town. The whole song is at best a result of frustration over the current political climate, and at worst it's political profiteering (The most likely answer).
Bingo
Guess Mr. Aldean forgot about January 6th in his video.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Go mum 👊
Nothing like a guy who grew up in **Atlanta** singing about small town behavior in a video where a lot of the footage was taken from protests in Toronto and Montreal. Cool "American country" song bro. I remember when it dropped from the number one spot to #20 in one week when the internet moved on to something else. It Just showed that it was never a good country song with any staying power. Just another pop star finding a "controversial" way to get attention for more millions. He's about as country authentic as Kentucky Fried Chicken.
You have to check out Dirt Road Anthem by Jason Aldean
This song is controversial because it was filmed was at the town square in front of the Maury County Courthouse in Columbia, Tennessee, where the Columbia Race Riot began in 1946 after a struggle between a Black World War II veteran and a white shopkeeper. It has racist undertones and encourages violence.
Since when did you guys get so political
Have you not paid attention to the things Daz says.. he thinks it's ok to kill protesters and run them over
I don't think Daz knows.
What!?
You should watch Tom McDonald's American Flags.
Raspy voice these days... love some Chris Stapleton... and I grew up on Kenny
👏
Yeah, no. Read about "Sundown Towns" in the states and then think about what he's saying.
As much as i like this song the events of January 6th are the exact opposite of this song so hypocrisy is the true winner in the end
Oh no 💀
This song has a MUCH deeper meaning then y’all understand. Rooted in racism.
😂
Absolutely brainwashed

Real americans love this song... hippies and leftists dont count.

He was sentenced to life in prison plus 419 years for the state charges, with an additional life sentence for the federal charges."
You've expressed great joy over car attacks on left wing protesters.
You should look up the meaning behind that song It is steeped in racism at its finest. it is a banned song and ur doing a reaction to history steeped in racism hence the name don't try it a small town
Are you watching the same music video? There is not any mention of race. The majority of the news footage shown was white people committing violence. I am very familiar with the accusations about this song. I know the history of the building behind him too. Where exactly is the racism in this song/music video?
How is it steeped in racism?
@@Yo-6495it’s not, these clowns look at everything and cry racist because they can’t actually come back with facts to dispute it

You used too many words to say nothing.
Southern country and Western country are very different American subcultures. This shit is embarrassing. Western small towns are small. Small towns in the population dense southeast, you can throw a rock and be in another town or city.
Cringe.
